The Inn at Tamarind Court was a great place to stay, clean rooms, friendly staff, centrally located to nightlife or beaches, and provided a very comfortable experience at a competitive price. My two friends and I arrived after the office was closed, but a late check in with proper notification was not a problem at all, Stephanie was very helpful and easily contacted to provide any information we needed. The location even allowed us to skip taxi fare, it was only a short walk from the ferry station I believe about 15 mins, which allowed us to get a good lay of the land on our way in. I can't even begin to summarize how helpful Stephanie was with even the most minute details which I needed as it was my first visit to the island. We all had a great time, and I would highly recommend a stay at Tamarind Court to anyone traveling to Cruz Bay, you won't be disappointed.

After a chance meeting with the Manager Stephanie during a trip to St John in November, we booked a Queen room at the Tamarind Court for February 8-15. We arrived after office hours but were able to get our keys and into our room with no problems. The new rooms are completely renovated and look gorgeous. Everything is brand new, and I loved having a ceiling fan. Considering we don’t spend too much time in our room while on vacation, this place was perfect for us. Also, we were not bothered by any of the construction going on around the property. Stephanie works so hard around there and deserves a lot of credit for it’s daily operations. Don’t miss St John Provisions right next door. It was such a nice place to grab sandwiches, smoothies, and coffee. Overall, Tamarind is a great location that is walking distance to all bars, shoppes and restaurants and a must-stay in Cruz Bay.

My husband and I had the good fortune of staying at the Inn at Tamarind Court for three nights in December. As the real estate saying goes, “Location, Location, Location” and that is exactly what you get when you stay at the Inn at Tamarind Court. It’s such easy walking distance to the Cruz Bay dock, taxi stands to the beach, restaurants and bars as well as an easy40 minute hike to Honeymoon Beach. We shared a taxi with Westin guests and they were envious of our location and regretted not booking there.
Not only is the location ideal for activities, the Inn is next door to some important amenities that were an integral part of our St. John visit including the Provisions bakery where we purchased our sandwiches for beach picnics; the same day laundry shop, and the Dolphin supermarket (less than a block away) for those important wine and beer purchases.
But the location is not the only reason to stay at the Inn at Tamarind Court. It’s the room comfort, the reasonable rates (by St John standards) and customer service details that get the highest marks from me. We stayed in Room 304, a recently renovated corner room that is the most spacious with two queen sized beds and it was definitely worth the price. Each morning, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast at a reasonable cost with courteous wait staff and our one regret was that we did not eat dinner there. We appreciated being given free ice to put in the soft cooler provided in the room, along with the communal sitting area on the third floor where we became friends with other guests. There is also a small parking lot for Jeep rentals if you choose to drive. We received outstanding customer service from Stephanie, the manager. During our correspondence, when Stephanie discovered that we live in St Croix, she voluntarily asked us if we would like an early check-in because she knew we had an early arrival. In all of my travels, I have never had that happen. In fact, Stephanie allowed us a late check-out on our last day. Exceptional!
Having been on the island for 40 years, the Inn at Tamarind Court is the heart and soul of St. John. I would not hesitate to stay here.

We stayed at the inn for a few nights while on a brief visit for business reasons. Check in was contactless which was nice. The rooms are small and very simple but are renovated and have everything that you need- spacious desk, refrigerator, ice cold AC and a nice flat screen TV. Internet was great for St. John standards and we appreciated the beach chairs. The best part was that we could walk to dinner, happy hour etc. there is a slight hill, which I would describe as more of an incline, so don’t let that stop you from exploring on foot. starfish market is down the street and has good snacks as well as hot food for lunch. Really the location is the best part. My one issue was that there could have been a little more attention to detail with the cleaning. There was a lot of dust in the bathroom and behind the beds when we went to plug in our phones. Daily cleaning is suspended and we felt it was minor, otherwise the room was spotless. We will not hesitate to recommend to family and friends.

Stephanie and her crew are wonderful hosts, even while rebuilding after the two hurricanes! Our room was delightful and we'll equipped. Loved the high ceilings. Staff also provided beach chairs & towels. Definitely a plus! Stephanie is a terrific resource for ideas AND knowledge. Turning us on to the automatic water jug filler next door is just a small example. The property is just uphill from all of the happenings of Cruz Bay, so we never used our car for dining. Thanks for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating week!

Knowing that we would only be in St. John for 3 nights, we wanted something walkable and centrally located. Tamarind Court was just that and more. A 10 minute walk from the ferry, easy breezy check in, and spotlessly clean room with AC. Beach chairs, beach towels and a soft side coolers were provided, a very nice and unexpected amenity. Be sure to bring ear plugs, as the roosters beginning ringing in the morning well before sunrise. Provisions next door was a favorite, perfect for grabbing coffee, smoothies, bagels and sandwiches for the day. The only improvement that could be made is the bed, a little too firm for me. An extra blanket would’ve been nice, too. Otherwise, it was the perfect place to come home to after a day at the beach.

I stayed at the Inn at Tamarind Court in March for 4 nights in the queen sized room. The room was nicely updated with beautiful high ceilings. In the room there was a soft cooler & beach towels available. There was also a bunch of beach chairs by the communal sitting area that you could take as needed. Stephanie was so accommodating of my request for early check in/ late check out due to the timing of my flights. The property is in a great location, a quick walk right into town.

I just came back from a few days at the Inn at Tamarind Court. Stephanie and her team were fantastic hosts. And the restaurant re-opened for breakfast and dinner during my stay. The food was excellent and a great value compared to many places in town.
The inn offers everything that you need at a great price: location, A/C, service, and more. It is not a 5 star resort nor is it trying to be. With so much that St. John has to offer, the Inn at Tamarind Court is a great place to lay your head.

Tam Ct is in a really convenient location. The best bakery and coffee is next door. Cut your clothes packing in half. There's a laundry next door with same day wash,dry and fold. The bars and restaurants are 200 yards away. Don't spend $500 on a car. The taxis are $6 pp a trip. We never waited more than 5 minutes. They constantly come by. They'll take you to the most beautiful beaches in the world for $6 each way. The Inn is comfortable. Great AC, fridge,beach towels and chairs Steph, the Manager is the best. Andy her assistant will help you enjoy your visit. This is my 6 th or seventh stay. I will never stay elsewhere. This is not the Ritz. If you like the way the Caribbean use to be, this is your place. The one dollar bus to Coral Bay is down the street.

The Inn at Tamarind Court is like a home away from home. We stayed 5 nights and just loved it! The restaurant and bar serve great food and drinks and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The rooms come with a small soft sided cooler and if you just go to the bar they’ll fill it with ice. There are also beach chairs available to use. Every morning if you go to the bar and ask for the continental breakfast it’s provided free of charge. While we were there it was fresh fruit and a biscuit/ sweet bread. We didn’t rent a jeep so I can’t speak to parking. Also free of charge is an early morning wake up call via a local rooster!!! We would stay again in a heartbeat!
