My boyfriend and I visited Lovango for 3 nights in February 2023 and had an exceptional experience! The staff is absolutely wonderful - very friendly and accommodating. After a nightmare 20 hour travel journey, the Lovango team bent over backwards to get us to the island and had pizza awaiting our late arrival. When we woke up our first morning, all of our travel stress and frustration melted away into the view from the glamping tent! We were even greeted by a double rainbow! The mattress, linens and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud, the decor is relaxing, simple and perfectly curated. Continental breakfast is delivered to the room every morning at 8:30 which was occasionally cold, but did the trick and the deck was the perfect location to have coffee and a snack first thing in the morning. The room had a Nespresso machine and fridge, which we appreciated and used quite a bit! We also love the Malin and Goetz products in the bathroom. Traveling from our treetop room to the main area of the resort is via UTV and it was very convenient to text the Operations Team when a ride was needed - they always showed up quickly and with a smile. The dinks and food is on the expensive side ($20 for poolside cocktails), but service is top notch! Prior to our stay, I spoke with the Concierge team and we planned out a few excursions and meals to make our trip easy and stress free. We really enjoyed the excursion to Honeymoon beach, morning at Crescent Beach and we took advantage of an evening on St John. Thank you Lovango staff for an exceptional, relaxing and beautiful holiday - we can't wait to come back and to visit your other properties!

Our family of 5 was lucky enough to stay in the Villa at Lovango Resort + Beach Club in the USVI the week before Xmas 2022. This is only the second season for the resort and it is on the cusp of being something truly special. While some people just stop in Lovango and use the beach club facilities, they are building a very special set of accommodations on the island that will be unmatched in the USVI.

The villa is just a short golf cart ride, or steep walk from the main beach club area, but feels entirely secluded from the rest of the island. The villa is made up of 3 separate King BR pods and one community pod that includes a furnished kitchen and family room with roku TV. Bedrooms are all air conditioned, each with their own private bath- all 3 have outdoor showers, the primary BR has an indoor and outdoor shower. We loved having all the room and there is a small pool and fire pit area to relax during the day and after dinner. It was truly a special place with gorgeous views looking on to St John and Honeymoon Beach. The villa was so nice that we often had a hard time leaving during the day and always wanted to rush home back from dinner to hang out together in the family pod or by the fire pit.

Lovango also has a number of tree house and glamping tents/rooms that they are continually adding to on the other side of the island. We explored that side and the private guest beach a number of times during our stay. The only reason this was not a five star ranking is there is just a lot of activity (well hidden but ongoing construction) going on as the owners continue to build this beautiful resort. Resort overnight guests also have full access to the beach club, which is a great place to grab food and lay by the pool. The best thing about Lovango is that it is a great stopping off point between island visits- they run their own ferry service numerous time during the day/night which takes 10 minutes to get to St John and 15 minutes to get to St Thomas. But like us, you will always be racing back to get home to your setup at Lovango

A big shoutout to Tammy who helped us with all of our planning and Justine in concierge who made sure everything was just right. Thanks to Tazio for always being there if we needed a ride and Elroy, in training to be the best captain of the Lovango Ferry fleet. All the staff were attentive and eager to help throughout our stay.

Thanks to Tim the GM, and Mark, Gwenn and their son Matt who own the resort- they treat their guests like family and my guess is that in another season or two, they will truly have their polished Gem in the USVI.

My husband, 13 year old daughter and I had an amazing trip to Lovango last week. We have vacationed at several spots on St John and in the BVI and I have to say Lovango is definitely one of our favorites. We stayed in a Tree House which had ample room for the three of us and easily could have fit another child as well. The Tree House itself was amazing. We loved the open air screens that allowed the Carribean breezes and sound of the waves. I would call it Luxury Glamping. Every little detail was thought of in the rooms. The staff at Lovango were amazing, catering to anything we needed and always there to give us a ride. The breakfast that is included with the room is delicious (def more than you typically get with a continental breakfast) and the tent where it is served offers some of the best views I have seen in the VI. You get a 360 view of St. John, St. Thomas, and the BVI from up there. It's also an amazing place to catch the sunset. We will absolutely be back and can't wait to see how this resort evolves!

Unbelievable views, but this is NOT a resort is an overpriced campsite. for the price you get an overcrowded tent. There is no dresser to unpack so you must live out of your suitcase. You need a ride on a golf cart anytime you want to go anywhere or a 20min difficult walk Staff is nice and attentive, but system is unorganized at best. There is no one there after 10pm so if you want to stay up late with friends bring your own drinks. Breakfast is same everyday, cold quiche (not very good) and fruit and hard boiled eggs and croissants and danishes. The pool has no seats unless you want to pay an additional $250 per day for a cabana. You are paying for the view, my suggestion is get the villa with friends. The glamming is overpriced camping. Everyone’s safe failed at somepoint, they fixed it. This could be a nice place, but long way to go and waaaay overpriced.

Michael Z, Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. The team was disappointed to read your review and to hear you didn’t enjoy the Glamping Tents. I am pleased you enjoyed your interactions with our staff and felt they were attentive throughout your stay. Regarding our Glamping Tents, as noted in our other guest reviews, they have been very well received thus far. However, they are not a typical accommodation as they feature canvas walls/roofs and focus on maximizing outdoor space so guests can enjoy the beautiful views, as you note. On the inside, we are sorry you felt the room was overcrowded. We have designed the accommodations to feature amenities we believe our guests will enjoy. We will look into your suggestion of adding more storage for clothes. Due to our location, being a private island, and the secluded nature of our accommodations, we do not offer a late-night option in our bars and restaurant to respect the noise levels for all guests. This allows our guests to experience the sights and sounds of nature in a very Caribbean setting. Many of our guests are seeking this kind of experience here and I apologize that this might not have been what you were looking for. Both our villa and tents offer different experience and personal preference becomes the deciding factor of where to stay. As you point out, our villa is designed for larger groups and more entertaining space, as it features 3 separate master bedrooms, a shared living space and its own pool. I am confident your group would have enjoyed this accommodation. I am happy that you enjoyed the attentive staff, and our maintenance team was able to correct the issues with your safe. I will pass your compliments along to the team. If you would like to connect with me directly, my email address is gm@lovangovi.com. I would be happy to discuss any part of your stay via email or by phone. I look forward to speaking with you and hopefully welcoming you back to Lovango in our villa. Best, Tim

We enjoyed the Lovango Beach Club for a day. After a quick, peaceful, smallboat ride (10 minutes) from St John, we arrived on a little slice of heaven. We were promptly greeted by the Beach Club staff, and escorted by the Club Manager (extraordinaire) Sydney Payne. She made sure we had the perfect daybed for our sun/shade requirements for the day overlooking the beautiful water. Sydney checked on us throughout the day to see if all was well, which it was. Other phenomenal staff at the Beach Club to mention were Caroline, Dougie Frost and Mika.

So, our day at the Beach Club consisted of lounging, napping, lunching (great lunch food - Lobster Roll and Mahi Mahi fish sandwich), reading and watching the surf and sailboats go by. Pool side outdoor showers were available to freshen up before dinner. Again, Sydney Payne made sure we had everything we needed for a peaceful, fabulous day stay.

What would I do differently? Maybe check out the overnight facilities and stay longer!

This place is for you if you enjoy being off the beaten path but still like nice amenities.

We just returned from a magical stay in a Treetop Glamping Tent with a view of Congo Cay. The tent has everything you will need; electric, water, a comfy netted bed with air conditioning, full bathroom, and many more little helpful items. We walked down to the resort, restaurant, pool area and shops, hiked the trails, walked to and from Crescent Beach too. Bring sturdy, closed toe shoes for walking, it is worth it to walk, the views are spectacular. Look for crabs, birds, lizards, snakes, beautifully colored fish. The stargazing is also amazing from the private deck area.

The staff was so easy to work with, everyone is very accommodating. If you take the time to know people’s names, it will make things much easier when asking for rides, reservations, what have you.

The ferry is very efficient and well-run and easy to use for little excursions off the island.

Again, this is Glamping at its absolute best. Be flexible, this is an island after all, really look around at this spectacular project and the nature, appreciate how much it takes to get fresh water and power too, it’s an amazing feat while still maintaining a secluded, unspoiled feel.

We could not have been happier with our trip, already planing a return!

What more can you say about Lovango! What an amazing experience filled with fun activities in the beautiful beaches and ocean of the USVI!

The staff was top notch and the rooms were tastefully designed to complete the true island feel and to top if off the food at the restaurant was delicious. HIGHLY recommend checking this place out!

We were disappointed upon arrival to find out there is no beach at the beach club! They then encouraged us to take the hike over to the other side of the island and there we could enjoy a beach….ummmm it is all rocks and the worst tiny “beach” area(could fit 2 chairs)we experienced on vacation.

The pool was cold and because there is no beach for swimming EVERYONE is in the pool including playing kids and it is small. 2 loungers in the pool for all 50 people to desire

The staff were very friendly, and attentive. Drinks and food were delicious yet heavy for a day in the sun. There is no “lighter fare” options such as fresh fruit or vegetable crudités

Dear Reviewer- This was a dissapointing review to read and it appears there were some misccomunications before and during your time with us. We try very hard to properly educate our guests, through our website and and pre-arrival confiramtion emails about their upcoming experience on-site. We are very clear that island boasts a beautiful rocky shoreline perfect for snorkeling and that the infinity pool provides the wade-in-the water experience that guests are looking for. Many of our guests love to hike, explore the island and enjoy snorkeling off of the north side of the island. This customer also visited us during our peak holiday season which has many of our uuests traveling with children. We love children and are very family friendly, however, there are many weeks of the year where the resort, and the USVI in general, is more couple focused. The weeks that follow the holiday season are great to visit if looking for an experience with less families. Lastly, I apologize if you felt there were no lighter fare options on the menu. Presently, our lighter fare options includs multiple salads, taco bowls and hummus plates. However, your comments are noted and appreciated and we will review with our culinary team about our menu. As you can see from our other reviews, the vast majority of our Beach Club guests love their experience and understand the types of amenities we offer. I am sorry we missed the mark with your time on island and would appreciate the opportunity to hear more about your experience personally. My cell phone and email are below, I look forward to speaking with you. Best, Matt Snider Director of Operations mattsnider@littlegemresorts.com 781-752-7167

My family and I stayed at Lovango for a week and I can’t even begin to express how wonderful our stay was. We’ve stayed at some very nice places before but Lovango stands out. The staff is out of this world attentive to your needs. They make you feel welcome, and treat you like family. One of many examples of their exceptional service is my sons one-piece snorkel/mask that we brought with us broke. They siliconed the piece that came off and secured it so he could use it and also provided us a kids size back up mask and snorkel we could use just in case. The grounds are beautiful from the landscaping to the pool. There’s so much to do on site (Relax by the pool, play yard games, visit one of their two beaches, snorkel their reefs, etc.). The food was delicious and creative. I also loved their complementary ferry that would take you to St. Thomas or St. John. I could go on and on about how great this place is! I will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

My husband and I did the casual dining experience on a Saturday evening to end our week on St John. The short ferry ride from Cruz Bay just before sunset was beautiful and refreshing after the hot days we'd had. The crew was friendly and professional, as was all staff at the resort that we interacted with. The island resort was magical. The decor was rustic yet chic, and relaxing. We sat at an oceanside table for two and continued to take in the sunset. We ordered our food and drinks and roamed around the property, all while enjoying low key, relaxing live music. There were several places to sit and enjoy including the seating around the fire tables, the chaise lounges out on the beach, cabanas on the beach, or different tables to have a conversation with others....whatever you prefer. At night the resort was lit with amber lighting and lights strung in the trees, and again, I can only describe it as magical. This was the best thing we did during our vacation, having been recommended by a friend. We will make sure to wrap up our week in St John with a trip to Lovango Resort every year to come. This is not to be missed and very affordable at $25 per person for the ferry and the casual dining menu is comparable to what you find on St John as far as choices and prices. We had a charcuterie board and lobster guac. Thank you again for the wonderful experience! We will see you next year!
