Detailed Reviews
We just returned from a week at Stone Post Estate. To say the home is amazing is completely an understatement. The whole property is beautiful, not just the home. The pool, the landscaping, the views, everything about the property is breathtaking. The home itself has any and everything you would possibly need for your stay, including insulated cups, beach gear, chairs, floats, etc., etc., etc. They have thought of everything! We’ve visited St. John, and BVI several times, and this was by far the best property we’ve ever been to. The rooms were very spacious, and they had wonderful views, and we were constantly commenting on how beautiful the house was, and how it seemed everything had been taken into consideration when furnishing the property. On the balconies as well as the porches and decks, they all have amazing seating areas to take full advantage of the beautiful views. Both the owner and the property manager were so easy to reach and responsive for any and every question, recommendation, or anything else we needed. It was a wonderfully easy experience overall, and we will definitely return, and I would absolutely recommend Stone Post Estate!!

Visited USVI and booked Stone Post for 11 nights .have rented many homes over the past ten years but have never seen a home equipped so nicely
We brought pool toys (55 foot sparkling pool). Toys were there. We brought pool floats. Floats were there. We brought insulated tumblers for cold drinks. The house had 15-20 in the cabinets
The kitchen has more dishes and appliances than my primary home
The property manager is always close by and available if you have questions or concerns She was great
The house is within a one minute drive to two grocery stores !
The house has multiple outdoor seating areas with nice furniture
The house is not directly on a cliff or the beach but the views are great
Cruz Bay views are perfect
The house has solar back up which was very nice during short periods of power outages. Most homes were dark except ours
The property has two stone cottages out near the pool. We had two friends that loved the quietness and privacy away from our four grand boys 😊
I can go on and on about this house and will gladly answer any questions
This house is owned by people who are proud of the home and keep it very well maintained We have always rented different homes for the past ten years never staying in the same home twice
My group is all in agreement now. No more changing houses . This house is perfect

We were fortunate to be able to return to Stone Post again! This time we brought family and friends with us. Everyone raved about it and had a fantastic time. We stayed in the rooms in the main house. The recent renovations in the kitchen and living space are top notch! The kitchen is fit for a chef and stocked with everything you could ever need. The living space, both indoors and out, is comfortable and great for lounging, dinners, cocktails, etc. We had the villa provisioned ahead of time so there was cold beer waiting when we arrived :) Patti met us and gave us the grand tour. It was great to see her again! Truly 5 minutes from town and 2 markets in between. We spent time at Maho, Salt Pond and Honeymoon beaches. Stone Post had everything we needed for successful beach days; chairs, towels, coolers, insulated cups (my most fav amenity) and snorkel gear! We loved it so much we decided to extend our stay!
Love, love, love Stone Post! This is our vacation place of choice and we all can't wait to return again!

My wife and I stayed 5 nights in the Cloud Room in mid January, 2019.
The property is located near Chocolate Hole, a 5 minute drive from town and just up the hill from the Westin Resort. If there is anything negative about the property it is that the drive from town is perhaps one of least scenic drives on the island, however the property itself does have nice views looking out towards the sea, with St. Croix very visible to the south. I would recommend that anyone who is considering staying here rent a car - there really isn't too much that is walk-able from Stone Post other than the Westin and a nearby grocery store.
The property is very attractive and consists of two guest rooms in the main house, and a separate cottage on the other side of the garden. There is also a very impressive pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, and a deck area with nice, new lounging furniture. Breakfast is available after 7:30 in the main house and consists of cereal, yogurts, muffins, hard boiled eggs, fruit etc.
Our room, the Cloud Room, is located on the upper part of the main house and feels very private from the other guest room in the building. In fact, all the rooms feel very private and give each guest a sense of their own space. The room is also a very good size with nice views looking out to the coast. There is also a deck with furniture and a hammock, along with a spacious bathroom that affords beautiful views while in the shower (while also maintaining privacy!).
The property manager, Patti, is both very welcoming and also a good source for island information and tips. She makes sure that you are enjoying your stay and is very happy to help suggest where to visit on the island.
In sum, this is a great property to stay at, and, given how expensive accommodation can be on the island, it is a good value. I would definitely stay here again.

I’m so glad a FB page led me to this beautiful place! For three couples traveling together who wanted our own privacy but also like to hang out together this was the PERFECT situation! Two private bedrooms with their own bathrooms were attached to the main building. The main building is where the refrigerator is and where breakfast is set up each morning. If you like things even more quiet you can opt for the cottage which is separated from the main building but still within view and our friends who stayed in it never felt secluded or left out. All the bedrooms were in my opinion, perfect. Blend New England beach house with open air “Caribbean feel” and to us, it felt like home (maybe we were even dreaming it was). We had a short list of first night food and beverages provisioned by St. John Market which worked out nicely. Breakfast was put out daily for us by the lovely Ms. Patti. Patti is the icing on the cake for this place. They are so blessed to have her watching over their property and their guests. She is a down to earth, genuine, caring, funny soul. When we left, we felt like we were leaving a friend behind. We rented two jeeps and there was plenty of parking. The pool was a little chilly (as we were there in January and night temps were on the cooler side) but we still enjoyed our relaxation time around it. The hot tub was perfect after those long days! We also utilized the outdoor grill and kitchen area every night for late night snacks. My only regret is not spending more time in the hammock on our balcony. It was so comfortable, you feel like you’re wrapped up in a cocoon---not to mention the view! One more thing to mention was the incredible communication I received from, Lisa, the owner. From my initial first questions, to sending contracts, right up through day of travel and even checking on us while we were there. It truly felt like she was excited for us! Hopefully this place never changes, we are already thinking of more people we can bring down with us!!!

We have been coming to St. John for 20 years and this was our second visit to Stone Post Estate the previous one was pre-hurricane. The storm and change in ownership has not altered the great experience. Patti the manager and breakfast maker is accessible, friendly and accommodating. Lisa the new owner, emailed us before, during and after our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is great, just past the Westin on a hill that gives the rooms great views. The pool, outdoor kitchen and room balconies make it easy to forgo a beach day. We will make it a third visit next year.

My husband and I just returned home from an amazing trip to St. John. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay at Stone Post Estate was. Lisa was so helpful from the start of the booking process and was quick to respond to any questions that we had. She checked in on us while we were there as well to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Patti, the manager of Stone Post, is just amazing. She is so sweet and charming and friendly that you feel like you’ve known her forever. We stayed in the Sky room which had beautiful views. Breakfast was served in the Orchid room early every morning and the breakfast views from tables at the pool area are outstanding. The hospitality and friendliness of everyone at Stone Post was just overwhelming. It’s like being at a home away from home. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone. We are already talking about a return trip there.

We chose the Stone Post Cottage B&B after reviewing the photos and amenities as advertised. Let me say - the photos are beautifully accurate, the facility is incredible, and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. Keep in mind that although SPC is only a 5 to 10 minute drive (at 20 mph) from the restaurants in Cruz Bay, the steep hills and narrow roads suggest that one should rent a jeep (which we did) when choosing this lodging. We really enjoyed the quiet, peacefulness of SPC in the evenings and at night, never starting the available AC in our unit! The cool breeze kept us comfortable every night, and I especially enjoyed this while snoozing in the hammock on our balcony every evening before eventually retiring to the comfortable bed inside! The views from our balcony were great, as they appeared to be from the other two units as well! Patti, our hostess provided a good breakfast each morning, and that held us for much of each day! WIFI, Netflix, hot tub, lap pool, tea and coffee, available kitchen and grilling facilities - these were available for us any time we chose to use them. Patti was friendly, informative, and there for anything we needed to help us enjoy a great eight day vacation! I'm not sure when we will return, but Stone Post Cottage would be my lodging of choice when we return!

Note: This is no longer a Bed & Breakfast - it is now a private villa. We have traveled to St. John's many times. This was our first time staying at Stone Post Estate. We spent 10 nights from 10/25-11/4/20. From my very first correspondence with the owner, it was nothing but a positive experience. Lisa made it possible for my group of four to book a last minute trip. She was available to answer any questions we had during the booking process and stay. She was enthusiastic about our visit. Everything she said was 100% on the mark. I have to admit, I was skeptical when she said it was a 5 minute drive to town, because we have been told that plenty of times in the past. It literally is 5 minutes to town. It is also close to several markets, the closest being 3 minutes away. With that being said, I want to make sure to point out that you don't feel like you are on top of anyone, or too close to road noise. Neither of these things are an issue. The house is set back on a road and then a long driveway up to the house - peaceful, private and relaxing. The house is amazing. The common space was recently renovated and includes EVERYTHING you need in the kitchen - top of the line appliances, blenders and excess dinnerware for both indoors and out. The space is well thought out, including a grill right off the kitchen. Everything you need for the beach is supplied as well. There are two refrigerators with icemakers- we used one for food and house stuff, and another for just beer and water. The pool is oversized and at the perfect temperature for swimming. The pool deck has plenty of comfortable seating as well. The setting is gorgeous with tropical flowers and trees. Our party used the two master bedrooms in the main building and were very happy. The beds are super comfortable and both rooms have great views, private sitting area and hammock. The a/c units work well. No need to have them running for hours to cool the room before bed. Patti, the property manager was a text or phone call away if needed. Based on location, amenities and comfort, I give this villa a 5 star rating! We hope to rent this property again in the future.
