We've been to the Castle Hotel for Sunday lunch as part of a pre - booked party of 40 people. The food was stunning; the carvery was delicious and dessert was very nice - and reasonably priced. The service was another matter... The waiting staff only had to clear main plates, take orders and serve dessert. The orders for a...

We apologize that you were not left feeling completely satisfied following your visit to the Castle Hotel. Our Sunday carvery is very popular in the local community and serving hundreds of meals every weekend are staff are both favored by the locals and have extensive experience serving large groups. On this occasion, serving 40 guests desserts without any pre-order there...

The staff were extremely friendly, the location couldn't have been better, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely incredible. My only criticisms would be the noise levels at night, as some of the nearby clubs can be pretty active.

Stayed here last month to go for a rock concert at Merthyr Castle. Budget price - good value. Food was good, beer was cheap, bed was comfortable. The night porter (Rob) is an absolute legend and after only 2 nights became a good friend!! Hard working chappie and hilarious too. If you're looking for a cheap place to pop your...

What a moldy hotel! I will say only one thing that, I won't come this hotel ever again! Please don't waste your money. I could have gone to some other place. Owner should do something about the renovation of the hotel.
