Breathtaking natural beauty right on the beach. A bounty of outdoor adventure with perpetually perfect climate are just a few of the reasons why St. Thomas attracts the savy traveler from around the world. Everything the Ritz Carlton is famous for but raised to a higher level in these stunning private residences.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This was our third visit to the Ritz Carlton St Thomas and our second stay at the Club. We are a family of five (children 16, 14 and 8) and we like this property because of (1) option for a two bedroom unit, (2) relative safety of the resort - kids can have some level of freedom to use the various pools, beach, etc., and (3) beautiful location with calm sea and gorgeous sunsets. The pools, as always, are clean and well maintained and we had good service for both drinks and food at the Club pool (no experience at hotel pool). Last time we visited, there was a lot of sargassum on both beaches however this time there was none - we snorkeled all around the cove. Food is fine and expensive but convenient. Drinks are good. Service in all restaurants/bars was excellent and the in the lobby of the Club are exceptional. A great vacation (made even better by Easter festivities on Sunday 3/31). Hope we will be back sometime soon!

The Ritz Club on St Thomas is always amazing. The staff are wonderful, attempting to anticipate your every need.
The only challenge with Great Bay is the sargossum; however, a floating barrier has been installed to minimize the seaweed reaching the beach. What does is cleaned early each morning so guests can enjoy the lapping of the surf with little interruption.
We have stayed on property over fifteen times and always been impressed.
The property will undergo a major refresh starting mid-August and will be closed until the first of November.

I stayed here in February 2022. My room was three times as big and half the price of what the Ritz Carlton hotel was offering and you can use all of the amenities and enjoy the great service that the Ritz Carlton has to offer. It was a great deal for me. The view from my room was so nice. The only thing you have to be careful of is that the rooms change over every Saturday night and the owners purchase a specific room, so if you are not an owner and staying over Saturday, you have to be prepared to make a room change. One final thing, I loved the extras in the room like the toiletries being top notch and the full bag of ground coffee from VI Roasters, as well as the combination microwave/ convection oven and the handy instructions on the TV about how to use it. One other tip is that in some of the rooms the thermostat is controlled by the property and I run pretty hot, so it took me a minute to figure out that I had to call and ask to have the temp changed from 74 to 68. :)

As one would expect, the service and the people were amazing. Very friendly and very helpful with everything we needed. The view and comfort of the beach chairs with the ability to be in natural shade was my favorite. Day passes to the Ritz Carlton resort next door are available including the use of water sports equipment, which was a great option.

We decided to splurge on our first big family vacation with our kids ages 8, 6 and 4. We had never been to the Caribbean. From the moment we got to the Ritz Carlton Club it was an absolute dream for all of us. Greeted with complimentary rum punch and cookies, parking right in front of our building and a short walk to our room (5th floor, 2 bedroom suite) I felt truly transported to paradise. Staff was superior and so kind. My kids spent hours at the pool and though the beach is small it was so relaxing and peaceful. We swam in the warm waters and even did some snorkeling and found some conch shells! It was so great to go on little trips every day and return to this property to relax and feel so pampered by the little extra touches: chocolate they gave generously to our kids at turndown, different activities every day (rum tasting, a reception with vendors, hair braiding etc) We were dlighted by the cute cats on property and a few iguanas! The girls made friends with other kids and my husband and I enjoyed the safety and convenience of everything offered. We ate at coconut cove a few times and found the food options to be great! Shout out to Cristal and bartender Christine (? forgot her name! but something with a C) and the nighcap ladies! We went to the hotel for a bit to check it out and use the fitness facilities and they were more than adequate for my daily workouts. I even went for several runs off property (be careful, roads are narrow and hills are steep!!) My husband got to play basetball and tennis. We enjoyed 3 balconies every morning and night. Honestly, we didn't want to leave and we are SO happy we stayed at the Ritz Club. Beautiful fun and relaxing in every way. Perfection for our family.

Family of 7 adults and 2 children for a 7 night stay. Property was very nice and the 3 bedroom villa was perfect. Our cleaning staff(Ruth) was very friendly and did a great job of making sure the room was spotless with plenty of towels. The restaurants had very good food. The Cove has a very nice pool side bar and has a really good burger. The Bleu Waters has the bottomless Mimosa brunch, which was a favorite of my daughters. The management at Alloro was extremely accommodating when we showed up 30 minutes before they opened with 4 more people than our reservation was supposedly made for. The biggest issue we experienced was with the concierge service. We had 1 reservation out of 7 that ended up being done correctly. Some had the wrong number of adults, some had the wrong time or day, and some were cancelled or never made. My advice to any future guests would be that anything done by the concierge service should be double checked or verified. Most of the restaurants were very accommodating and fit us in as quickly as they could. It seemed at times that the number of staff was low. Most times there was no one walking the pool to see if you wanted drinks, there was only one person to set up the pool area in the morning, and we had to call almost daily to get our cookies(my daughters liked them). The staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall it was a good experience, but substandard for a Ritz-Carlton. The concierge service needs improvement and the staffing numbers needs to be increased when they near maximum capacity.

Our recent experience at the ritz Carlton club has not been good. The staff seemed very green and consistently gave out incorrect information to most of our questions and inquiries. From not disclosing the $25 / day environmental impact fee to giving incorrect information on which restaurants we’re open and closed on the property was all part of this bad experience we had. In addition, we were assigned to a unit on the first floor, which the guests right above us were loud partiers and we heard them each evening. We requested three times to be moved with zero follow up from management. At the pool side, there is a sign that clearly states that no pool chairs can be reserved with those chairs that have towels placed on them without anyone occupying them, management did nothing in terms of enforcing and/or policing this policy. As a result of this policy there were no chairs available after 9 am due to people placing towels early in the morning and then not allowing other people to use them. Lastly, at check out there were a number of erroneous charges that were not charged by our party that they eventually reversed. The agent that assisted was extremely rude and acted as if she couldn’t be bothered with this request and actually said “this is going to be a lot of extra work on my end.” The entire front line needs customer service training. Very poor experience.

Great family vacation at the Ritz. Great staff and amenities. We use the Bon Voy app to check in early which made the experience much more seamless and called the concierge beforehand to ensure all our questions and requests had been addressed. They were excellent. My only complaint is that they did not clean the seaweed regularly on the club side of the beach. It also would have been nice to be able to use the mobile key for the gym. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay!

I am going to try and give a very accurate description of the property and service levels for people who are planning a trip. There wasn't a lot out there when I planned mine so hopefully this helps. Service was very good from all Ritz employees. They knew your name and the concierge was great to work with for dinner reservations. We actually tried to eat off property several times in Red hook just to break it up. Red hook is an $8 per person cab ride. We did not hang out on the club side at all during our week trip. We opted to go over to the hotel side every day we were hanging on the beach. With two teenage boys, the water sports are all on this side as well as a much better pool, and beach experience. It's about a 5 min walk which was never an issue. The beach on the club side is very small and just has a much more families with little kid feel or old person vibe. The kid pool with water slide on the hotel side looked like it would also be great for families with little ones. We alternated every other day between just sitting at the beach and doing small excursions. One day we did a full day sailboat rental through Seas the day carters- It was great! Another day we did a scuba dive trip in the afternoon through Aquamarine- It was great and the last day we did a morning jeep tour through jammin jeep tours that was also great. This helped break everything up nicely.
As for the hotel/club I want to make sure I say this correctly. It was very nice, no real issues. However, If you are someone who has ever stayed at other resorts in Mexico like four season, One and Only, Montage, Esperaza etc, these are definitely on a different level of service and grounds appearance, decorating etc. We had intentionally stayed away from the Caribbean for the last 10 years as the experience in the past was always less than to be desired. Services were always slow, weather was always spotty with afternoon rains. Thus we had spent more time in Mexico. Even though this is a Ritz, maybe the branding just doesn't mean as much as the name used to anymore. Again, its great. Its just not like the ones I mentioned earlier. A good example is many years ago we stayed at the Four Seasons in Great Exuma. It was not great. Two years later, Four Season sold the property to Sandals because they realized they could not keep offering poor service like that under the Four Seasons brand. Overall, the experiece was really great and my kids had a blast. Defintiely take a day tour to St. Johns and chill on the beaches there. So beautiful and its something you just don't get to see from the Ritz beach.

Just stayed here a week and everything was top-notch. The customer service is great everywhere, from Charlesworth and Mark pouring the drinks at coconut cove bar (get the rum float), to the pool/beach staff taking care of everyone in our party the beach and pool. Tyler and Melissa have the best customer service. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are very clean and spacious. Sanitizing stations everywhere, masks required inside, we all felt very safe. Hopefully the club can add some pelotons at some point as I am sure members would enjoy to ride while at their home away from home. I can't wait to go back to paradise, only recommendation is to stay two weeks because one week is too short!!
