We were at Sapphire Beach 8/7-8/14/10 the weather was wonderful, the beach fabulous & the condo beautiful. We were looking for a relaxing vacation, we wanted to just lay around and soak up the sun. That is exactly what we did. We rented unit E-301 from the owner on VRBO - http://www.vrbo.com/239824. It was very nicely decorated and well maintained....

We didn't have a car and used the safari bus from the entrance to Sapphire to go to Charlotte Amalie to the open air market. The safari bus stops across the street from the market. Taking the safari bus back from the market, the bus stand on the market side for the bus. We had a nice ice cream cone...

Some excellent travel tips. Just a small warning from me. The safari buses run if and when they want to and only go one direction around the island. Also, they stop running at dusk or before if they choose. Also, I once had the experience of a safari driver refusing to pick me up; assuming I was a tourist he...

We just got back from a week at Sapphire Beach Resort. Since there are several condo developments on or near Sapphire Beach, and sometimes people get them confused – this review is for the red-roofed condos on the beach. We rented the condo directly from the owner on VRBO.com (#154917). Sapphire Beach Resort is not like a full-service hotel. You’re...

My wife and I stayed here for one night prior to departing on our sailing charter at the marina. Our room was in very poor condition. The grounds were a mess and there was nothing open for food or drinks after 4 or 5pm! Breakfast was a joke. Of course the beach and location are amazing. It is a shame...

This review actually belongs under "Antilles at Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina". I know this as only Antilles will rent for just one night. Only Antilles can speak to the condition of the room. Salt air and water has taken it's toll on the wood. The owner's association will be replacing wood and powerwashing in the near future if they...

Just got back from Sapphire Beach last night. There are so many reviews of Sapphire so here’s my breakdown: How to Rent a Condo On the advice of other TripAdvisors, we rented through www.VRBO.com. I would only recommend this option. We stayed in D104, and just to specify, this is one of the red roofed condos. Condo Location The location...

We loved Sapphire Beach Resort for many reasons, and would recommend this vacation to anyone who is laid back and relaxed. This is not the place for people who want service and papering. With this being said, here is our experience. Transportation. The taxi's at the airport are about $14.00 per person. Once at the resort there are many ways...

I was recently married on Sapphire Beach. We had a group of 30 stay at the Sapphire Beach Condos and a few at Sapphire Village. We reserved through the management company. I was a little concerned when I first made this decision, but everyone loved it there! The Sapphire Beach Condos were overall nicer and larger than Sapphire Village- and...

We rented through Alan independently for the first 3 nights and since he had overbooked the condo we had to move to a different room that the hotel had available. We knew about this going in so not a big deal. I will post pictures of the rooms so you can see the extreme differences that you can get at...

Yes the resort needs some updating, but it is family owned. We have been there before and nothing beats the beach and the atmosphere. However, the owners have closed the restaurant and bar, but they offer free shuttle service to anywhere you want to go. Plus independent people work on the beach and offer all sorts of food and drinks...

Rented unit from local owner via VRBO. VERY not impressed. Half the lights either didn't work or were missing bulbs. Cheap stove, half the stuff missing or broken.
