The Sapphire Beach resort is up and proudly running. Nice and clean after two hurricanes in September 2017.
We stayed i building D on the first floor, steps from the beach. We had nice furnished patio.

Great place to go in spite of the recent hurricanes. Electricity has been restored and many of the rental units are back in business. There’s no better place on earth to visit then St. Thomas US Virgin Islands
2nd floor... is like a studio. Every apartment has beach view. The pool was out of service during our visit, due hurricanes.
Full kitchen with basics utilities, good location and parking available. Administrators are very patience and kind.

I didn't see a workout center, but I wasn't looking. You could kayak, snorkel, swim, or run on the beach instead. I would suggest NOT walking anywhere on the road, especially to Red Hook. No shoulder, hills, and blind curves. There is nowhere to get out of the way of a car. The second day we were there a guy got hit by a car while walking back from Red Hook. Our room in building A was great, the beach is like a fairy tale, and the water looks and feels like a perfectly Photoshopped dream.
