This is our second time at Magens Point and we loved it every bit as much as our last time. The only thing different this time was that we had a two year old daughter! We stayed in a lovely studio apartment perfectly equipped with a microwave, fridge and stove, which are essentials when traveling with a toddler. The room... More

Gorgeous view. Beautiful pool. Great restaurant and bar. Fellow guests easy to get a long with and help make the stay what it is. Nestled above a park that surrounds Magen's Bay, the views from the rooms facing the bay are calming day and night. You do need a car to get about, but driving is easy on the left... More

Escaping the wintery midwest to Magen's Point Resort was quite a treat. We stayed in room 332, a 2 bedroom that was comfortable for all. At first I was concerned because you had read negative comments but ended up pleasantly surprised. While it is not a 5-star, it was clean and well kept, and very relaxed. The staff was friendly... I have stayed at Magen's Point Resort (Beach Villas, I think they are called) since they opened in 1984. We've traded a few times, but for the past 10 years, we have spent "week 6" here. If I had written this two years ago, I would have warned everyone to avoid the resort, but they have made strides to improve... More

We've been going to Magens Point Resort in St Thomas regularly for about 20 years. The resort has had it's ups and downs over that time. But the staff and management at the hotel over the past few years is excellent... friendly, responsive, and helpful. They make it an extended family. Whether it's a special dinner grilled by the resort... More

Improvements to this resort are ongoing as with any place in the USVI. I found the resort clean, comfortable, and much improved. The staff was excellent and worked quickly and efficiently to make sure we were well served. I had a fantastic time and an enjoyable interaction with the staff from top to bottom.

I should have followed my mind after reading the reviews before I traveled , management is the worst , she does not care about your concerns and needs to go back to school for hotel hospitality and management. She is only concerned about making an extra dollar by what ever means necessary. The rooms are not clean and unsanitary, mildew... More

This has got to be if not THE worse, at least on the top (?) 2 list! This is an RCI Resort which is available both as a timeshare and a hotel. Neither provides a deal except for those who were lucky enough to purchase here and trade in RED across the RCI Network. But for those looking for a... More

This resort has gotten such a bad rap from so many poor reviews that I was fearful of our stay there. We went as part of an RCI points vacation and were so surprised - relieved- that everything bad we read was totally unfounded. Most of the staff were more than friendly and helpful and the room was perfectly acceptable... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Magens Point is a two and a half star, unpretentious and very relaxed resort facing Magens Bay. Our facilities include two restaurants, one Italian finer dining featuring a wine-mojito bar, and the pool sports bar with burgers, bbq, pizza and sandwiches. We offer two jacuzzis, tennis courts, a coffee-deli-wine on site shop with breakfast, a gaming room, a small fitness center offering also yoga, zumba and massage services. All our studios and villas have been tastefully redone, and are fully equipped with kitchenettes, microwaves and small fridges, plus energy efficient air conditioning units. Most units also face Magens Bay, and you can wake up to spectacular views of the bay, or watch the sun set from your balcony while sipping the cocktail of your choice.Last year RCI awarded us recognition for excellence in hospitality services, and since 2010 we have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars upgrading our facilities. We may not be for everyone, true. But if you are looking for that "limin" effect that locals brag about.. come stay with us. We promise you an unforgettable experience. Magens Point is what the islands should be all about. ... more   less
