Have been going her for 10 years, always a good experience, booking excursions, pool can get crowded, but Im a beach person, the food is always good, staff always helpful, view is great, close to downtown for shopping, can go by water taxi or land taxi, water is nicer and quicker, the service goes all day to and from downtown St. Thomas - love it! Great yoga classes!

If you are not part of the timeshare culture here you will get a condo in the back building furthest from the pool and beach. which requires 3 separate elevators to make it to the pool and beach. Service was mediocre at best with food service taking an especially long time for simple dishes like a hamburger and fries. Staff was helpful and Friendly but I found this island is lacking charm and warmth as most of the locals are irritated by tourist. Their bad attitude shows when you need anything or go shopping. We took our car on the Ferry to Saint John which had a much better vibe but still not 100% good with tourist. USVL=Attitudes ! I would recommend many other Caribbean locations as opposed to Saint Thomas. Always check trip advisor. This location does NOT carry a 5 star rating.. I wonder why ? You want to be Happy on Vacation, Not Feel like you are a bother to folks.

We have been coming here 12 years and love this place! It’s great for families with kitchens, laundry, and apartment style setup. The units are clean, well appointed, and well laid out with every one stayed having a nice view. The pool is fantastic. Even though the slide is small it’s amazingly entertaining for kids. The infinity edge is a usual adult hangout. Being right on the beach is so nice compared to the property next door where you have to go down many flights of stairs to get to the sand. The on property restaurant is reasonably priced and the food is pretty good although I will say it’s not as good as it was before Covid. Staff are so friendly. I love all the organized activities including the recent Easter parade. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel!

We have been Marriott owners for over 30 years and believe the Marriott Frenchman’s Cove is one of the best! Employees are very friendly and helpful, location and view is outstanding, and St Thomas is one of the best locations in the Caribbean. Only suggestion I would offer is ask at the front desk what dinner specials they have and when as we were not made aware of those and would have chosen at least one if we had known.

We stayed for 6 nights and had a 2 bedroom unit in building 5 on the 3rd floor. The views of the harbor out the windows and balcony were absolutely stunning!!! The room was very clean and newly renovated. The bed was very comfy and we all slept well. They provided us with plenty of towels. Housekeeping cleaned our room nicely the middle day of our stay. My takeaways: The Marriott is built into a cliff and to get down to the beach you have to take 3 elevators. All of it is handicapped accessible and easy for the older guests to get to the pool and beach. Reminds me of Europe except here you have elevators and ramps rather than 400 steps. The employees are all nice, just remember you are on island time here and all the workers are from St Thomas and used to taking their time. So expect service to be slow. This is how the Island is. It takes a few days to get used to this. Walk over to the Westin next door to eat at Luna Mar. The view is incredible!!! There is a free shuttle but I couldn’t figure out the schedule and was told it’s coming soon… so just walked over. We spent the entire 6 day stay on campus at the Marriott and next-door Westin. Take the snorkeling and sunset dinner cruise on VI Cat sailboat from the Marriott pier. The beach is nice and there is a restaurant at the pool where we ate most of the time. The resort is very safe and secure. The guests the week we stayed were older people and families with kids. We all enjoyed our stay and will return again.

I'm here with my husband, son and his wife in a 2 BR villa. The Villa is great and very comfortable for our family size. It's been nice having a washer and dryer and full kitchen. We ordered delivery from Moe's before we arrived and have been able to eat breakfast and lunch from the room. I was disappointed at first we weren't in the Tortola Building but I've been loving our central balcony in the Virgin Gorda building. This resort is smaller that most vacation clubs so noise isn't an issue. The staff has been great and accommodating.

TLDR summary: The scenery is beautiful, but this is not one of Marriott's best vacation club properties due to cleanliness, noise, and safety. The Good: The views from the rooms are great and at night, the lights on the island hills are spectacular. During the day, Frenchman's cove is pretty and gives plenty to look forward to seeing. The beach is smaller in size, so you will not always have a private chair, but it was large enough for our family to enjoy and our toddler loved playing in the sand. The pool is also smaller, but it was large enough for us to enjoy, and the water slide was a fun addition. The three bedroom timeshare gave lots of room to stretch out. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was clean. The staff is friendly The iguanas are huge and will come within good viewing distance of you. Our kid loved watching them and so did we. The Bad: I'm unsure if the first two of the following may be island issues and not specific to the resort or if this is correctable, but the hotel water is yellow. It isn't obvious at first glance, but If you take a bath or look in the toilet, you will see lots of yellow algae floating around. It was enough that the toilet always looked used and the tub had a prominent yellow ring. We bought gallons of drinking water from the store. The second possible island issue is that we encountered multiple roaches in the unit. We didn't leave food around and kept the place clean, but we'd still see them when we turned the lights on in the bathrooms or kitchen. I assume they may be coming from the drains, so for the rest of our trip, we kept our drain plugs in use when we weren't using the sinks or tubs. The hotel staff warned us that we would only have a single cleaning during our stay and it would only be to refresh towels and make the beds, which was fine. However, every day after that cleaning, they came by to do additional "cleanings". We noticed while we were out, that the fridge had been moved away from the wall and left in the middle of the kitchen. This was likely to spray for roaches. Someone else staying in the same building must have notified the front desk of the issue. The roosters on the Island will wake you up at 6 AM every single day. There are three elevators to get to the beach/pool from the lobby level. The elevators made strange noises and shook on occasion. On our stay, at least one elevator required repairs. There are no garbage disposals in the units. The ugly: The floors of the units are absolutely disgusting. They must never mop the floors unless someone complains about them. If you walk around without shoes on, within 10 minutes, your feet will turn jet black. We complained and they sent someone with a mop down, but they never refresh the water they mop with even when it is black water, so all that happens is they push around the dirt and take off a slight layer of grime when they initially start mopping. These units need to be mopped MUCH more frequently and the cleaning staff should be trained to dump the water once it is dark in color. This one is really ugly.... They have off-road 4 wheel drive vehicles (not cars or trucks) that are used by the employees to get around the property. We saw on multiple occasions that some employees were going on joy rides through the streets by going 3 to 4 times the speed limit around blind turns where we cross the street with our child. They were accelerating so fast and taking the turns at such speed that you heard the tires squeal pretty loudly. There would be no way for them to stop in time if we crossed the street behind a blind turn with our toddler in tow. These people need to be reminded this is a family resort with young kids. The property is built into a cliff with a road very close to the rooms. You'll hear large trucks going up and down the road quiet often. They are very loud as they are either accelerating or have their engine brake on due to the steep terrain. This is specific to unit 832 which is a three bedroom, put it may also be true for 831 which was the other unit on our floor.... As this unit is directly beneath the lobby, we were constantly disturbed by the noise above. Every day you will hear a lot of doors and drawers slamming along with chairs moving and other less than ideal noise. This starts at precisely 7AM and goes until the late hours of the evening (Maybe 10 or 11 PM, I can't recall exactly). If they are setting up in the meeting room, which they used the first three days or our trip, you will hear them dragging metal chairs across the floors and out onto the balcony. You'll also here loud carts being pushed across the tile floors. All of that is unbearable/extremely loud and we had to call to complain and ask that at a minimum they limit the hours this takes place. It didn't help much as they needed to get it done for their training session and so we dealt with a toddler that would not stay asleep in his room. If you get this room, good luck!!!!!! We had fun at the beach, but this will likely be our first and last time at this resort.

Nice place, but below average for MVC. Amenities are lacking, very noisy in certain rooms. The rooms are fine, views great, staff friendly. The beach and pool is small for such a big resort but it works. The sunset grill at poolside is nice but lacking. One huge complaint is the noisy trucks. We stayed in the Virginia Gorda building with trucks running and idling all day long. It made our balcony useless. We complained, but nothing was done. I guess it was bad luck on room assignment. We'd be hard pressed to return without knowing which room we had.

I don’t understand the negative comments. Our unit was updated and very clean. As timeshare property, I expect to take care of the unit ourselves. Everything worked, laundry was great, appliances fine, kitchen well equipped for cooks. Beach has a safe place to enter and exit to avoid rocks on the shoreline. There are rafts to lay on and some fish to see around the rocks. We only had lunch at the restaurant but it was fine. Service was great. When we requested a taxi to the grocery, the man at front stand told us to be sure to tell them we were staying here so we could get a 5% discount. Saved us $35.

Me and friends stayed here the service was okay but we were fed high pressure to go to house of rajah jewelers when asked if jewelry shopping so I went and purchased a Rolex watch thought everything was good until I had inspected at certified Rolex distributer in states. The inspection revealed the bezel and band were real but the inside movement was expensive Japanese movement. So I am bringing this to the attention of guests who might stay here and the Marriott that rajah ripped me off. Danny
