It is a nice place and the people (Gale is the manager) are very welcoming and helpful. Pros are: nice room, very comfortable bed, top notch air conditioning that is extremely quiet, delicious home made breakfast. Cons are: damaged screen sliding door allowed mosquitoes to get in, hot water was barely lukewarm (in the afternoon and early morning despite asking),...

We were traveling in Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands for a week. Among the six hotels we stayed, Galleon is the only one I'd recommend. The staff there is super friendly and responsible. Great location, close to everything. Plus, it offers ward breakfast, which is rare.

Flavor of St Thomas. Everything you need and a staff that makes you feel at home and special. Knowledgable staff happy to advise and suggest, carry your bags, cook you breakfast, mix you drinks, be your friend. Pack lite lots of steps.

Cannot say enough about this jewel of a place. We stayed here last year for 4 days and absolutely loved it. What charm and character this place has. This year we returned to the Galleon House for 2 days before we left for our chartered boat and it was great to see Gail again and to meet Jeff. Such wonderful...

KUDOS to Chris, Gail, and Jeff of the Galleon House. What a great combination of people for a wonderful 'Old World Charm' Hotel. More than just 'helpful' with local knowledge and great recommendations, this trio will keep you informed and comfortable, if it is within their realm to do so. I checked in late November for one night on my...

My husband and I just returned from a 4 day stay at Galleon House. We arrived 11/10 and we were married 11/12/13. We originally had booked with Sugar Bay Resort and Spa 3 days and Galleon one day but we canceled Sugar Bay and stayed at bed & breakfast for our entire stay. Couldn't be happier with our decision. The...

This was a business trip and I loved it here. Did not want to spend a lot yet I got a lot. Great people, great pool, clean, great free breakfast every morning, great location. I ran out of business cards and owner Chris said, "I have card stock in the office". He took my info and printed 60 cards which...

We booked a B&B, budget, but when we arrived here we were appalled. I should mention that the 3 members of staff we met on arrival were very friendly and helpful. Apparently they had 'upgraded' us so I hate to think what our original room was like. After we had staggered up countless steps we were greeted by the dirtiest...

My new husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in St Thomas and we absolutely loved it!!!  It is not at all like "big chain" hotels, but that's what makes it so fantastic! It's so charming and quaint and the people there really make you feel at home.  The free breakfast every morning is served hot and fresh and...

My wife & I just spent five nights at the Galleon house. When the taxi dropped us off and we saw all the stairs, we were very surprised, but we knew we had to get to the top to check in. We were given the room with the best view, and they were not kidding. I would of had to...
