My wife and I booked a week at Villa Margarita for our 28th wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Studio villa. Carl, our host, was in contact with me even before we came to St. Croix. He was sending emails and information about the possible storms coming to the island. He answered any questions I had and was a great communicator.

We arrived at bit later in the evening than planned but we were greeted by Amanda our hostess. She was most welcoming and so very nice. She showed us around the beautiful Villa. I found out they had a dog named Bentley and asked if she would introduce us. She happily brought out Bentley and we became quick friends...he made being away from our dogs a little more bearable. I couldn't wait til morning to see it all in the day. The next morning did not disappoint! The view from our room and patio was A+++. Absolutley amazing. We so much enjoyed having our morning coffee and breakfast on the patio. We also met Carl our host. Carl was also fantastic and very helpful. Carl and Amanda were very accommodating yet were not checking in on us. We knew if we needed anything how to get in touch with them...PERFECT.

The villa was clean and neat. The king bed was very comfortable. Towels were provided for the room and beach as were beach chairs and snorkeling gear if we wanted to take them for a day at the beach. The kitchenette had a good size fridge and freezer, single cup coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave and a hot plate. Well stocked with utensils, plates, cups , pretty much anything you needed. Were there a few very minor things that needed tending to? Yes but certainly nothing worth noting. The handle to the sliding door did break one night. I texted Carl and he fixed it the next day while we were out enjoying the island.

There was only 1 other guest staying at the villa that week and he was on the island for work so we never crossed paths. We felt as if we had the entire place to ourselves. The pool was very well maintained and clean. There was a little yellow rubber duck in the pool 24/7...so we named him Darryl....Darryl greeted us every morning and was there every night. When we would come home from a long hot day on the island we would grab a drink from the well stocked Tiki bar and cool off in the pool before bed. Darryl would keep us company.

I can't say enough about Villa Margarita. The view! The view! The view! WOW! THANK YOU CARL AND AMANDA WE LOVED IT! Please give Bentley belly rubs from us. We hope to be back.

March 12-19, 2020. Return visit to my favorite Caribbean Island. Our stay at Villa Margarita was the high point of our week; we really wanted to stay. The hosts, Siria and Patrick, were most accommodating and we feel like they are new friends. The property is lovely, well maintained with an outstanding view of the Salt River inlet on St. Croix. We look forward to staying there again. Conveniently situated yet quiet enough to fantasize that it is your own Caribbean retreat.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? This was our first time to St Croix and the location was perfect. Besides being on the ocean, it was quick access to either town since you are smack dab in the middle of the N shore when staying at Villa Margarita. You will have everything you need, felt like home but with a wonderful ocean front view. We were able to cook many meals in the studio, ample space for a couple. Patrick & Siria, the hosts, are true assets, always around if you needed anything, yet you feel like you still had your privacy. We were the only guests for most of the week, we felt very lucky.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom at Villa Margarita, but all rooms have a fabulous view of the pool and ocean. We had coffee on the veranda every morning savoring the gentle waves of the palm trees and the ocean. coming in. There is access to the ocean right in front of the villa to go "shelling". A lounging - swimming beach is next door. The managers onsite, Amanda and Carl were wonderful and fixed the very MINOR issues that came up. It has a small kitchenette, and we were able to fix breakfast every morning with an electric skillet or 2 burner portable unit. (no stove) and a fairly large refridgerator for what ever you wanted to have on hand or leftovers from the dinner the night before. It was nicely secluded and quiet and you can get to anywhere on the island within 20 minutes. The pool was kept inpeckably clean. Villa Margarita is like a home and even it is full, there will never be a huge crowd like big resorts. Very cozy with comfortable beds too.

My husband and I had a lovely time at Villa Margarita. It is exceptionally clean, incredible views, comfortable bed, well-stocked kitchen, bar & beach gear, sparkling pool, access to a beautiful beach. We loved exploring the Island and then returning to our quiet, peaceful villa. The caretakers are fantastic hosts that gave good local recommendations, were available for any questions and keep the grounds immaculate. It is centrally located, but we enjoyed going to Cane Bay for local meals and felt access to the entire Island was easy. It is in a gated community and we loved the privacy & quiet.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit for 10 days in February. TJ and Denise did a wonderful job restoring the Villa after the hurricane. It's such a beautiful spot and very conveniently located on the Island. The Tiki bar is a great place to sit and relax, especially if the wind is blowing. Beautiful views and the breezes made sleeping easy. Denise and TJ had happy hour while we were there and it was delicious and such fun visiting with them and the other guests. Would definitely recommend it and plan to go back.

My family and I visited Villa Margarita this winter, and we can't say enough good things about the property or the on site managers, Kristie and Chris. We rented the 2 bedroom unit, which is clean, well appointed and spacious. The villa has a lovely small pool, and the rooms have breathtaking views of the sea from the double balconies.

If you want to swim in the sea, a five minute walk brings you to a beach which is the only spot where Christopher Columbus actually landed in the United States. It's not the biggest beach, but the water is calm, there is a sandy bottom, and there are amazing shells that get washed up in the inlet.

The cool thing about St. Croix is that there are so many beaches, and Kristie happily told us the pros and cons of each. On Kristie's suggestion, we explored a few, and were never steered wrong.

The villa's location is a good mix of being totally secluded, but also close enough to everything. There are a string of bars and restaurants a short drive up the beach on Cane Bay, and the bar and restaurant down the hill at the mouth of Salt River Bay. It's also close enough to the boardwalk in Christiansted, or the main business district. On site, there is a fantastic tiki bar near the pool and nice new gas grill, where we brought food from the local supermarket.

Most importantly, Kristie and Chris are amazing hosts. She makes a mean Pina Colada and even set up a happy hour for the guests (we were so incredibly sorry to have missed because our family had a health care emergency). Overall they couldn't have been kinder, more helpful or more understanding. Their hospitality was thorough, thoughtful, and incredibly appreciated. When I read the reviews to this property, I wondered if it was too good to be true. Make no mistake, it is that good. Book it if it's available!

We just recently stayed at Villa Margarita for the the 6th time and enjoyed every minute! The property is clean and well cared for by the on-site managers who are a wealth of island knowledge! The best part is the location, it’s centrally located which makes it quick and easy to get out East or West. Most importantly, the view is amazing!

Beautiful views of ocean and stars, quiet with no cars and few people, comfortable bedrooms and common areas, breezy balcony, lulling surf sound, nearby beach, secure, decent beach needs (snorkeling gear, chairs, towels). Minimal kitchen okay for breakfast and lunch preparation. Decent location close to Christiansted. House host on sight a big plus.

My family of 4 just spent about 2 weeks over the holidays at Villa Margarita. The airbnb we had reserved for a year prior fell through 2 days before our trip (they "inadvertently" rented our unit out to someone else for 3 days in the middle of our stay!). So that put us in a bind with only a few days before flying from MN, but luckily we landed an even better place = Villa Margarita. This place is paradise lost! The caretakers Amanda and Carl were the best, gave great suggestions, and kept their pool SO pristine and clean. My teenage girls enjoyed sharing the 2-bedroom, while my husband and I stayed in the suite. Both had amazing views and we slept withOUT A/C for the first time in our lives in the tropics! That is how amazing the trade winds were the entire time. This place is worth the $, if you are considering it, book it NOW!

Erin, thanks for your lovely review! Seems the stars aligned on this one. We had a last-minute cancellation which allowed us to host your family, and we're SO happy we did. You all were the perfect guests! Carl does keep that pool crystal clear, doesn't he! And our North Shore location creates those strong constant trade breezes (which also means NO mosquitoes 🙏 ). We hated to see you leave (especially back to freezing MN) but please visit us again. All our "regulars" (i.e. returning guests) get a discount . . . some for over 12 years in a row now. Love 💖 Amanda and Carl

Hi Darrell. All suites have kitchenettes for basic cooking needs. There is an outdoor deck with gas grills, dining area, and Tiki Bar, all self-serve. There is no on-site restaurant, but there is a good selection of bars and restaurants within a 5-7 minute drive either way (to Cane Bay or toward Christiansted). Christiansted is 15 minutes away by car.

We stayed in the only two bedroom unit. It is upstairs and the living room and one bedroom (queen bed) front on the water. You can get a cross breeze with the doors open. I can tell you that it was the best sleeping I have had in a long time, what with the sound of the waves and the wind. This was in early April. Mike and Teri are great hosts. In our opinion this unit has the best views, as the palms were not directly in line with the ocean.
