Read a lot of reviews about the Hotel on the Cay, and really unsure how it would be. Glad to tell you it exceeded my expectations. No, it's not a five-star hotel, but it was clean and efficient and had several unique features to it. That is on an island away from the town of Christiansted is fun all by...

The hotel is definitely a bit dated and the lunch menu can use a revamp but location, location, location. I would give it a three but the view earns it an extra star. You get your own private boat to commute between the island and town. One of the most beautiful swimable beaches. Perfect for relaxing and catching some sun....

I read many reviews before we chose this hotel and for us it was fabulous. If you want to be waited on hand and foot and prefer scheduled activities don't come here. If your a bit of a camper, flexible and happy to just relax park yourself here. When many beaches were closed due to rip tides our beach was...

Went for our honeymoon and just returned for our 30th anniversary. It was like going home. It's not the Ritz Carlton but it was clean beautiful view of the ocean staff was friendly and helpful. I won't wait 30 years to go back.

Convenient location in the harbor (with a free short ferry for guests). Only beach in downtown (even for snorkeling, saw a sea turtle on mine). No dinner restaurant, but lots of great choices ten minutes away in town. Decent rooms that are a good value. Recommend.

New Years trip at the Cay. Overall great hotel to stay at. Tip when arriving-boat ride and beach items are complimentary if you're staying at the hotel (don't forget to tip as courtesy). Most of the post say it's a 5$ fee for round trip but If you're staying at the hotel it is free.

Hotel on the Cay is one short ferry ride away from total island living. The hotel is dated as it should be and kept very clean. The staff welcomes you in as family and treats you like a local from the start. The island is surrounded with beautiful ocean views filled with a rainbow of yachts. Snorkeling around the island...

The best way to describe this hotel is "weatherbeaten." The place is basically clean, but the effects of the wind and sea are everywhere. Except for the constant, sometimes howling, breeze the place is peaceful. Depending on the boat to get to town is okay if you plan ahead just a little. The "restaurant" is a laid-back affair, often with...

Close to town, take the ferry and you are right there with lots of good restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed the beach and had a room with a view of the harbor so we could watch all the yachts and small boats come in and out of the harbor all day long

Through visit was ok. The rooms could definitely use some updating. I guess they figure you'd wouldn't be in them throughout the day, only I night. So way spend the extra money updating them? Not sure if that is the case, other than that, we enjoyed our time there.
