Visited Hilton for a birthday tea with friends. Several years ago Hilton's tea was well known as among the best in the country. Then came the never ending renovation and the quality of its tea dropped off- poor selection and no effort. Decided to try it again after a few years. This had to be the most disappointing of all....

Thank you for your review. Let me apologies first of all for your experience. We have revamped our tea service on Thursdays to include Scones, Spring Rolls, Chicken wings, Salmon, Vegetable and Roast Beef sandwiches along with Chocolate and Cheese cakes. With the help of our new pastry chef, the menu will be revisited in the coming weeks. We did...

When living in POS, my late wife and I would occasionally visit the Hilton where there were small boutiques, and, of course, drink and dining opportunities. 33 years after I left, the Hilton was the only hotel in town that I thought I really remembered. How wrong! It's been upgraded - obviously, some work had to be done since 1983!...

Best option in Port of Spain. Staff was extremely courteous and professional. In house services were excellent. Best hotel gym I've EVER used. Upside down floor system is unique. Hotel is built on the slope of a beautiful hill overlooking the city and harbor. The hotel itself utilizes the hillside to incorporate the trees into your view both inside the...

very old building, the carpets are old and smell like old carpets, the food is extremely expensive: USD 24 for a black coffee, a toast and a boiled egg, 33 dollars for the buffet, bad taste eggs, a hair in my croissant... I called before arriving to ask them send a cab to pick me up in the airport, they...

Hello. while the hotel is nice and a fair value, The location is not a good one. There is nothing with in walking distance, and you a $15 US to down town. The restaurant at the hotel has half decent food but the service is too slow. Do not think you can grab breakfast at 8:30 and leave by 9:00...

The traditional hotel of Port of Spain. Even President Obama held a press conference several years ago. Hotel is old like a museum. Rooms are ok but falling short of the Hilton's standards. Pros: view from the terrace, fitness center is amazing, pool great to exercise, breakfast buffet. Cons: service, service, service. It is something cultural thing in Port of...

The Hilton was one of the only places left to book a room for Carnival. It increased its prices for the room around the Carnival period. I have to say that for the most part this Hilton is pretty average and nowhere worth the prices paid during this time. It got the job done but the value was certainly not...

Thank you for staying with us during Carnival. We continue to improve our product and service delivery and we thank you for your feedback.

Great hotel to be in for the Carnival. Walking distance to all the festivities. Make sure you book way in advance if you're planning to be there for Carnival. The hotel needs some refurbishing, but all in all very pleasant. The staff was attentive and helpful.

We stayed during Carnival. I would recommend the hotel, and we enjoyed ourselves at the hotel. They seemed to manage the full house for the peak season really well -- we never felt crowded or neglected because of it. Our room and bathroom were nice, but the mattresses were too mushy for our taste. The lobby/patio bar was nice and...

You are welcome! The trash is unacceptable but constant during Carnival. We will redouble our efforts to manage that much better. We do quite a few Carnival parties (Fetes) during Carnival and we insist on finishing them by 11:30PM on week nights and 2:00AM on weekend nights. This is Carnival and we do manage the celebrations as best as we...

I stayed here for carnival. I ordered a salad from room service 2 hours after arriving. The cheese on the ceasar made me horribly sick. I spent all night throwing up. All morning battling diarrhea.
