Whilst 'passing thro' on business, I was offered a very warm welcome, great bay views from the dining room, and instant hospitality and accompanying wifi which negated the fact there is simply no 02 signal down in Aberdaron. So if you are looking to escape.........

Stayed three nights while on the WCP, staying in the Pretoria B&B which is part of and just along the road from the main Ty Newydd Hotel. A very good central location in the village, close to pubs, restaurants and the beach, very quiet and comfortable. An odd arrival though, not even remotely friendly and welcoming by the owner, I... ideal location yes, but.... apart from bar staff so unfriendly. Large selections of drinks but decidedly non plus landlord/owner We happened to be there for quiz night and always relish a challenge but we weren't even approached to join in. We have travelled far and wide and have never felt as such "outsiders"

Super lunch with very friendly service. Had a table outside overlooking the bay in brilliant sunshine. Lobster salad and fish and chips were lovely. Free parking nearby for National Trust members. Great coastal walks on the doorstep.

V.good throughout, with the exception of an evening meal , which was just passable. Service excellent with warm friendly staff. Location excellent, we had room 7 which was situated 'on' the beach, clean and ample space.

Brilliant location right on the beach with uninterrupted views out to sea and the headlands. We only stayed one night, wish it could have been more, will book earlier next time. The bedroom was huge with a great en suite bathroom, and the view from both astounding. Only suggestion would be turning the bed around to face the windows, then... More

If you love hearing waves as you sleep and looking out on to the sea then this is the place for you. We have stayed here before and the room was, once again, immaculate. Our breakfast was of a high standard and you could order alternatives such as omelette or kippers. The same setting for the evening meal had a... More

Although we stayed over a busy weekend and the hotel restaurant was very busy we were made to special and very welcome. To fall asleep to the sound of breaking waves right outside our window was a reminder of the joys of living very near the sea. The food was very good and the service quick and efficient. Gwesty Ty...
