Detailed Reviews
We just returned from a week in Grand Cayman and we stayed at the Britannia Villas at the Hyatt. Since there are no reviews I thought I'd be the first to let everyone in on it..the Villas are beautiful! We stayed in villa 2030 it's in the King's Court section, closer to the single homes, they look newer and are a prettier design from the outside than the units when you enter the grounds. It was huge, clean and modern. It had 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, the master suite with a jacuzzi tub king bed and walk in closet. Marble floors through out and granite kitchen, 2 huge decks overlooking the canal. The tennis courts were just outside as well as the golf course, and the spa and one of the pools was just steps away.
The only drawback is having to drive to the beach but there's no problem getting parking at the Hyatt. Pool towels were provided at the villa and you could get your towels for the beach at the Hyatt so you didn't have to carry them over.

+1
Our family spent 8 days in the Britannia Villas (King's Court Villas #2030) They are clean, spacious and provide all the comforts of home. Our unit was along the canal with 2 balconies which were very quiet compared to the busy seven mile beach area. It was a short car ride to the beach where we had parking at the Grand Cayman Beach Suites. The beach area provided us with a swim up bar, spa, gym, two restaurants, red sail activities and a boutique. The pool, hot tub, tennis courts and golf course was a short walk from our condo.
Debbie and her staff did a wonderful job with recommending restaurants and attractions. We did the Stingray tour (Dexter's Fantasea) Nicki's Beach Rides and Oh Boy deep sea fishing charters. We were very satisfied with all of them.
I would highly recommend this location. We hope to return some day.

We have stayed both in a Phase II villa and a King's Court villa (2042) on many occasions. We love it. Clean, modern, upscale welcome feeling. Both have been along the canal and sitting out on the balcony hearing the breeze in the trees and watching the occasional boat in the canal is great. We have also stayed in other properties directly on the beach, but really like the exclusitivity, privacy and quietness Brtiannia affords. (Some nights were noisy along the beach). Each group of villas come with a pool and spa and they are practically empty. No problems with chairs etc. We often walk up the canal to the beach (it is a bit of a hike) but a beautiful, tranquil way to get a little exercise. The Hyatt beach facilities (and other facilities) are included, so you have all the amenities of a resort while staying in your own private little bit of heaven. We always had a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom and even with 6 people had tons of room. Large bedrooms, beautiful fitted baths, kitchen, laundry room, dining room, living room. Phase II had one huge L shaped balcony, Kings Court had 3 balconies. Highest ratings.

The Britannia is wonderful, as is the Brittania restaurant on-site, and we will return this January, but be warned: the adjoining Hyatt Resort (where my wife and I celebrated our honeymoon in 2002) suffered mightily during Hurricane Ivan. The resort is actually in two parts straddling West Bay Road, separate from the Britannia. The portion of the hotel on the inland side was still completely closed as of last visit (Jan 2007) with much damage to be seen. Only the Hyatt Beach Suites is open on the beach side. What does all this mean? Mainly that some of the photos you may find online of the hotel, like the swim-up bar and the lush hotel grounds, (exactly where Gene Hackman wooed Jeanne Tripplehorn in the movie "The Firm") are actually in the portion that is now closed. But not to worry: Hemingway's (the Hyatt's fabulous beachfront restaurant) is still there, and there are two smaller pools at the Beach Suites that are great. Bottom line: Britannia and the Hyatt are first rate, even if some of the lushess and feeling of tropical paradise vanished in the terror of Ivan.

We stayed in a two bedroom villa (they're called villas but are more like condos) in March 2015. We were impressed by the spaciousness of the rooms. The bedrooms were large with plenty of closet space. There is a washer and dryer as well. We also had a nice sized balcony overlooking the canal. Our villa had everything we needed, from kitchen supplies and utensils, to towels and beach toys. I'm sure it depends on which one you rent as they are privately owned. We sent most of our time at the beach, but used the pool on several occasions. The Britannia pool is large, clean and never crowded. There is a small golf course on the property and a little bar/restaurant at the small clubhouse. The grounds are lush and beautiful. Staying in the villas gives you privileges at the Grand Cayman Beach Suites, located directly on Seven Mile Beach. It's a smaller hotel, but has a nice pool, a swim up pool bar, a nice out-door stone patio and of course, Seven Mile Beach. Bonus... you do not have to rent the beach chairs, and we always found a spot for all four of us. I disagree with other reviews that said you can't walk to the beach. You can, and we did several times although I wouldn't recommend walking with children as you have to cross a busy intersection. The villas are close to shopping, restaurants, grocery and liquor stores. If you've never visited Grand Cayman, take our advice: buy your liquor at the duty free shops in the airports before you arrive on the island. You'll pay 3 times as much in the liquor stores here. If you want to stay in Paradise without dealing with the crowds, this is a wonderful place to do it!

We stayed in a 3 bed, 3 bath villa. The grounds are beautiful! You must have a car to get to the beach. We had full access to the pool, beach and fitness club at the Cayman Beach suites. Perfect for large families.

My family and I stayed in a huge three bedroom, four bath condo at Britannia over New Years. The condo looked professionally decorated and was in a great location. We enjoyed complete privacy but were just minutes from everything. The gym and the beach facilities are a short walk but they are very nice. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub right outside our condo. We always had the entire pool area to ourselves - it was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is a restaurant on the premises with good food at decent prices. We found it to be one of the best values in Cayman.

We stayed in the Britannia Vilas. We love how large and roomy they are. The terrace looks out over the canal where we have breakfast. Love the beach across the street, Deckers, Abacus, and Prime and most of all Hi Tide the local band that plays at Deckers. Couldnt be better. Also Tiffany does a great job with reservations as does Debbie in the office and her staff.

We also stayed in the Kings Court Villas and found a good value for a spacious 3 bd 3 bath unit that was dated but well furnished and close to everything (with a car). It is really too far off 7MB to walk to anything, which was fine by us. I would have hoped for more housekeeping, but we never really asked either, so who knows what is available. The location was quiet, secure and very clean.
