My son and I spent 4 nights in unit 622. It was clean and spacious with a well-appointed kitchen and a big screened in balcony and fantastic ocean views. I thought it actually looked better in person than in the photos on the hotel website....More

The condo was wonderful--beachfront, 2nd level. We stayed very busy each day, so all the wonderful entertainment equipment (large screen TV, DVD and BluRay player) were great to have at night. It had everything else we needed as well. The staff (office, engineering, and housekeeping)...More

We chose a beachfront condo on the second floor. It was well equipped and the staff continually provided clean towels and bath amenities. The property is beautifully landscaped and pristine. The pool is quite large and tennis courts are easily accessible.

It depends on how fit you are, and how you handle the heat. There is a grocery store less than a 10 minute walk away (closed on Sundays), and we pretty easily walked into the center of George Town (about a 30 minute walk). There are also several restaurants within a 20 minute walk in both directions. You could get by without a car, if you don't mind walking in the heat, and you don't want to see the rest of the island. As for the beach, if you pick your way through the rocks, you can actually get into the ocean and swim a bit at one small piece of the condo beach (you can also easily splash your feet in the water on the sand, if that's all you want to do). The public beach is a 5-10 minute walk along the beach to the North (you have to look for the rock path around a bit of a wall, but it's there). If you get a car, there is plenty of parking, and driving on the island isn't bad at all, if you can handle being on the English side of the road.

You might want to rent a car for the day you take the remote excursions, but we did not. The taxi service is incredibly dependable and reasonable ... just call in advance, specify a pickuptime, and they'll be there! Our most expensive cab ride was $40 and that was a north island tour, ending at the bird sanctuary and Italian restaurant up there, which, by the way, was great! Very walkable location both into town and up the boulevard and hotel row on Seven Mile Beach.
