The previous ratings made me dubious and the drive up to the office did not represent the resort well. In fact, upon sign in, I told the representative I would probably be checking out although the stay had been prepaid through my timeshare. But, after going up to the suite, especially with the employee who hustled luggage for two up to our space, I had a change of heart. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath space was immaculate, and the full kitchen was available as promoted. There was a completely screened in porch which was nice to enjoy at night and in the morning. We also had 3-flat screen TV’s. The suite was spacious and quiet. My timeshare company did not identify the resort as having laundry accomdations, which was incorrect as there was a stacked washer and dryer combination.
On Monday morning, the resort arranged a shopping trip to a local restaurant and one night the most fabulous Caribbean dinner was sponsored by a local restaurant named Champion House. The cost was minimal for the offerings and came with rum punch and homemade rum cake.!The onsite personnel made reservations for local tours and there was a cab with a special relationship for the visitors. Everything was fine and I would stay there again!

The beach chair arrange promotes dirtbag moves. That means coming down at 2AM to 4;30AM and tying a shirt on a chair or throwing a hotel slipper on five chairs. Other than this chaos the place is really good. Wife and I figured this out over 5 days. You will not believe it until you see it. Every front row chair is taken at 6AM and not one person occupying the chair.

So glad we went in to try this cool place. It was a great time! Our waiter was full of great energy and really fun to visit with. The music was pumping and filled the place with great vibes! We went for dessert and we’re shocked at the size of our fried cheese cake and chocolate bread pudding. The dinner menu looks great and reasonably priced too, so se will be going back there soon to try more of their delicious food.
I was happy to find out they also have a bar!!

Titling this hotel a “resort” and charging a resort fee is a stretch! The pool is tiny and by early morning the sun loungers have been “taken” for the entire day, quick 1-2 min walk to beautiful beach but I’m pretty sure the limited number of sun loungers available that we used were not even for the resort!

Lastly if you want to sleep with jet lag before 11pm on a weekend the restaurant has very loud live music so good luck with that 😬

spent 12 nights here, only guests from the uk, which was lovely, the Americans are so friendly1 huge apartment, 2 double rooms both with really big beds, aircon was wonderful, but did sound like a jet taking off every time it kicked in. slept so well. very spacious throughout, top floor overlooking pool, mosquito shield around the balconies is a brilliant idea. .provided all you could need re kitchen equipment and toiletries.
pool was fab, most of the time it was just us in there, not many sunbeds so not sure if thats a problem high season?
short walk to the amazing beautiful beach, again very few sunbeds, but this time of year def not a problem. location just perfect.
had 2 bbqs which was a great addition
only negative for us was toilets by pool shut and the kettle took about half an hour to heat - us englilsh do like a cup of tea!
cant wait to return!

The individual rooms were pretty nice and would make a good place to base a trip out of if you don't care about the resort side of things. Beds were comfy, lots of rooms, water was warm (could have been hotter but not cold by any means). Location is okay. Its easy to get to things but isn't on the water and doesn't offer any views. The only resort feature you do get is a rooster that wakes you up at every morning at 5am and doesn't shut up. The pool was okay, they pumped loud bad music pretty routinely so that was sort of annoying.
Oh be warned, they charge for electricity as a surcharge on your final bill here!

My husband and I had a very relaxing time at SMBR. Rose was very attentive to making our accommodations comfortable. We chose not to rent a car and instead we used public transportation along with John who took us to the local market during our stay. There is not a beach at this resort. We walked to the Marriott each evening to watch the sunset and have a cocktail.

This is a great condo complex to stay at. The staff are great and always welcoming. Some people are timeshare owners others are renting the unit traditionally. Condos are clean and reasonably equipped. Just next door to the Marriott and Hampton Inn. This place is a value for the location and it’s offerings compared to a hotel that is similarly priced. There are full kitchens with dishwashers. Each unit has a washer and dryer. The unit is a 2 bedroom 2bath. Clean and comfortable.

We stayed for 4 nights in February. Booked on very short notice. Office staff very nice and helpful. Our 2 bedroom condo was very clean. All new appliances , washer and dryer. Our unit was facing the road but had no issues with noise. The resort is not on the beach. There is a building between the resort and the beach. Beach is very small and setting up your chair can be difficult. We didn’t use the beach however their pool is very inviting well kept and lots of shade. Cost with tax was $300. US. a night. Very reasonable considering it was high season. Highly recommend the resort.

We came from Montego Bay Riu where we have a beach on site. We visited and we were told it’s very beautiful.
It was a nice beach but not worth the travel, was just as enjoyable as our one at the hotel.
Make sure if you are to do water sports you do it with a licences company.

I dont know if mines was renovated but loved our room..
re snorkeling gear, they no longer provide it, so you can either bring your own, purchase there (several 'dive shops' nearby) or rent gear from small tour business towards back of 7Mile Beach Club property (towards the beach).
