We stayed in the bed and breakfast accommodation, but also got to take a peak at the self catering that another guest was in, and another bed and breakfast room that friends had. All fantastic!! The view from our room looked over the green rolling hills of the farm and on to Irish Sea. It was fantastic. They made up... More

We stayed, in Beudy, in Sept last year on the recommendation of some friends. What a find. Beautiful setting and the hosts couldnt do enough. The breakfasts were great and plentiful enough to set you up for the day. We didnt even need to eat out as there is a Microwave, fridge, Toaster and cupboards for food in the room... More

Its been a while since I stayed here with my partner last year. However having finally signed up to give back a bit to this site after using it on so many occassions in the past, helping spread the word on this place has to be one of my first acts. It was just so so lovely. The valley up... More

Wonderful accomodation in Beudy convert Cowshed. Due to all the other reviews we booked this for a couple of chilled days. The children loved their bed in the roof and the stairs were fixed so no worries about ladders. Lovely gas fire which had been put on before our arrival by the great hosts and what a treat it was... We've been to Snowdonia a number of times and we love the wild beauty of the place but this is our first time at Byrdir. I cant compliment this place enough. We stayed in 'Ty Gwair', one of the studio cottages which was just perfect for us. The old haybarn has been converted vey nicely. There's a seating area downstairs... More

My family and I had the pleasure of staying with Gwion and Louise at Byrdir farm for 4 nights in June 2011. A little bit off the beaten track ( which is another reason why it was soooooooooo wonderful ), as soon as we arrived Gwion greeted us and very kindly offered to put my sons bikes in his shed.... My fourth visit in three years and yet again I wasn't disappointed. I always stop and think before posting a Trip Advisor review for Byrdir cos part of me wants to keep this place a secret. You always receive a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the owners Gwion and Louise. Book one of the self-catering studios and combine the benefits... More

To be honest, I didn't really know much about Byrdir before we arrived (my other half had booked the stay, I'd just nodded and agreed) but I was absolutely delighted with her choice. OK, so it's a little off the beaten path, but nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Our room was, I think, the smallest of the accommodation... More

A gorgeous place to stay, up a narrow country road, in a beautiful part of North Wales. We had one of the studio apartments (in the renovated outhouses) and also a room in the main farmhouse. The rooms were comfortable and had everything you might need, and some treats like a decanter of sherry! Breakfast was delicious, with a large... More

Our family runs a bed and breakfast on a working Welsh hill farm in Dyffryn Ardudwy, Snowdonia. We have two daughters, two cats, Oscar and Mog, two ducks, Will and Martha, and a dog called Del. Oh, and about 200 welsh mountain sheep and 40 or so welsh black cows. “Nant, part of a converted barn, was warm and cosy. Twin beds are in the downstairs bedroom. The double bed in the upstairs loft is accessible only by a set of steep steps. If you are very tall, you may find the loft a little uncomfortable. Great view from the window tho'!”

“I've now stopped in all 5 bedrooms. They all are great. Ty Gwair doesn't have a sea view, but you can watch the ducks in the pond and experience the sunrise without getting out of bed!”

“If you are a couple, ask to stay in one of the rooms away from the farmhouse, where you climb a wooden stepladder and sleep on a platform. Ask them when you book, they will know what you mean!”

“If your not good with steep stairs or ladders try Beudy as you can have the beds dowstairs, but my other half has problems with stairs and didnt find going up and down the steps in Melin a problem at all.”
