Just returned - there aren't words to describe this amazing villa - right down to the hardware on the doors and windows, there was no expense spared in designing this property for guests. Anchored in the granite rocks, this stunning villa fared better than most through the horrific hurricane.
The main living area is a dream space filled with light, beautiful furnishings and spectacular views all around. The gourmet kitchen is a dream. We had a chef to prepare our meals when we weren't on the water and he was fabulous.
The outdoor showers were a BIG hit with our group! The towels and linens are pure luxury and all the chalets overlook the ocean.
You will feel like a movie star - it's a truly pampered experience if you're fortunate enough to be able to stay here.
Because of the hurricane, there weren't many tourists when we visited Virgin Gorda which made the trip even more relaxing.
Can't see enough about Morgana Tilling, the property manager or the owners, who have built a magnificent respite from the world!

Just returned from the most amazing family vacation in Virgin Gorda! It was our first time to the British Virgin Islands and we absolutely loved it! If you are trying to decide where to take your next vacation, you need to visit VG and stay at Batu Villas!
You’ll be taken away when you pull up to this place – it sits up on huge granite boulders overlooking the ocean. The views are spectacular! We loved the infinity pool and gourmet kitchen in the main house. The individual bedroom villas all have spectacular views as well (spent several nights relaxing on our balcony), and all are furnished beautifully. The outdoor showers were awesome, but my favorite were the huge double doors in the bedroom that opened up to nothing but the ocean in front of us.
Loved the location of Batu too – it’s a short drive to a gorgeous beach (Spring Bay) that never had hardly anyone on it when we were there. It felt like our own private beach! It’s also only minutes from the famous Baths National Park where you can swim, hike and snorkel. We loved walking to “Mad Dog” for their famous Bushwacker (Edith never skimped on the rum!) and Top of the Baths restaurant with its breathtaking views.
There is so much to do on the island and so many great restaurants but we loved hanging out at Batu and cooking in just as much! The house has everything you would need.
We plan on returning and staying at Batu again!

Batu is not only a beautiful place to stay, but it is also in a perfect location. When you're wanting privacy and quiet to just relax, the villa provides that because of where it is located and how it was built. When you're wanting to get out and explore, The Baths are within walking distance and anything else is only a short drive away. There is a bar around the corner called Mad Dog with an incredible view and wonderful food/drink service. The best part of staying at Batu was the people on the island. Everyone is extremely kind and welcoming. This was the best trip I've ever taken and I strongly suggest to anyone!

Went October 2016 with three other couples and we had the place to ourselves. Weather was 80+ and sunny everyday. Stayed 7 nights and we had a great time.
This private Batu resort itself was incredible and is located on top of granite boulders right on the ocean with the sound of waves crashing against the rocks. Everything was upscale from the infinity pool to the gourmet kitchen, living space, grounds....and the bedrooms were very private due to each being a separate building. Outdoor showers were unique and made it feel like Gilligan's Island.
The resort is located just 5 minute walk from the famous Baths beach area. It is on the end of the island so you feel very secluded but can get to almost all the great beaches in a matter of minutes. Local bars and people are great.
It was really nice having snorkel gear and beach chairs provided complimentary as we used them every day.
Virgin Gorda itself was an amazing island. Some days we had a large/long beach all to ourselves and the scenery was amazing. Water is crystal clear. Chartered a boat for the day including snorkeling.... a must do to be able to look back at the island paradise you are staying on.
Best place I've ever stayed... both Batu and Virgin Gorda. Will definitely go back and will definitely stay at Batu.
Best,
John Scariot

Hard to believe a few weeks have passed since we left Batu. Not sure the word 'spectacular' does Batu justice. The villa is a architectural wonder. It sits on a granite promontory and enjoys constant breezes off the Atlantic. Since it is ESE facing it enjoys winds that the other side does not enjoy. The property is 1st class in every way -- each bungalow is superb. The grounds are impeccable. The main house is the central gathering area and has everything -- you can tell the owners are foodies bc everything we needed is there. We cooked almost every meal with a few exceptions. We found ourselves oftentimes just hanging out by the pool and relaxing. The outdoor speakers are a very nice touch -- in fact the main house has speakers throughout. Music was on constantly. The location to the best beaches on the island are just a short walking distance distance away.
Other observations -- the furniture they selected both inside and out is very comfortable. The satellite TV, surround sound, and blu-ray/DVD selection was a nice touch -- LOVED the A/V room. All of the air conditioners worked flawlessly. There is an abundance of snorkeling gear.
Everyone agreed it was the nicest villa we have had the privilege of being able to enjoy-- it was about as perfect as it can get. Seriously, it does not get any better than this villa. Treat yourself and some special people to a 5 star home. It does not get any better than this.

A party of 8 of us stayed at Batu Villa during the month of November 2016. We had an absolutely wonderful time. Batu Villa is absolutely gorgeous. Each bedroom villa is spacious, private and contains special little details/touches. The infinity pool was a-mazing and the ocean views were absolutely breath-taking. This was our first visit to Virgin Gorda and staying at Batu made it that much more special.

Batu Villa is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. I've traveled extensively, but nothing compares to Batu. The views are breathtaking. Sleeping to the sound of crashing waves is a luxury. The staff go above and beyond to make your visit special. Just sitting by the pool would be an amazing way to spend a week--but then you'd miss all the unforgettable sites within walking distance. The Baths and Spring Bay are both destinations unto themselves. And the rest of the island has a lot to offer as well. I can't say enough good things about Batu Villa.

We visited Batu Villa during the month of November 2016, and had the most amazing time ever. The location is absolutely stunning and breath-taking! You can see how everything has been built with careful planning and attention to detail. Each villa has amazing views of the ocean, and to wake up every morning to that, was total paradise! There is so much privacy in each villa and we enjoyed the outdoor shower very much! The main villa/house is so beautiful and the kitchen is a gourmet chefs dream! The breeze that comes through the main living room was the best and I have never felt so relaxed and at peace.
Virgin Gorda is a beautiful island and has the feel of being untouched! The weather was always 80+ and warm! I can't wait to start planning my next trip there.
The highlight of the trip for me was taking the boat ride (Captain Joe) to the nearby islands, snorkeling, eating at the restaurants nearby and relaxing by the infinity pool with the most beautiful view in the world!

My husband and I, with 6 other friends, visited Batu the first week of November 2017. Needless to say I felt like a movie star when I entered the Batu Villa. The main Villa is the center of all activities where we cooked, had meals, and of course the beautiful pool. Oh almost forgot - the views are spectacular from every room with the ocean waves hitting the boulders. The bedroom villas were all spectacular, and the best part was the outdoor showers. BVI has so many things to do; great restaurants, the Baths, boat excursions from the famous Captain Joe, meals at private islands, snorkeling, and of course the beautiful beaches with the warm ocean awaiting which seem to be private, but labeled public!!
We cannot wait to go back!!!

Spent 10 nights at Batu Villa in January 2016 with several couples and it was fabulous! The individual suites were private and the main house was great for cooking meals together. The location of the property is convenient to all the island attractions, yet feels secluded. We have stayed at several villas around the island over the past 10 years and Batu was by far the BEST! The ocean views are spectacular and the accommodations are first class.
We returned again in June 2016 with the kids.Talk about a great family vacation, this is one the kids will never forget. The pool is amazing, beaches are within walking distance and you couldn’t ask for better weather. And once again, Batu did not disappoint! Can’t wait to get back!
