My husband and I spent 4 nights at Mango Bay and we had the most wonderful experience! Ashley & Nate could not have been more welcoming and helpful, they really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The accommodations were lovely and spotless, fresh flowers in the room, fresh beach towels every day. The bed was so comfortable, huge plus. The views are just stunning! Kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear were all available for our use and there are multiple beaches easily accessible by kayak. Savannah Bay in particular was incredible, gorgeous blue water, great snorkeling and not at all crowded. There’s also great snorkeling right off the resort beach. You are situated halfway between The Baths and North Sound so the location couldn’t be more convenient. The pool is so beautiful and inviting we wanted to take a break from the beach to enjoy a few hours there too! Gorgeous landscaping everywhere you look. We’d love to return and we just left!

We had such a great time at Mango Bay! Caia (owner) and Anita (grounds manager) were the best. We had a studio room, which was perfect for us. It was a second floor unit with a kitchenette, bedroom, and nice sized bathroom with double sink and double shower. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the beach is just steps away. We talked about getting a beachfront villa on our next visit. Kayaks and paddleboards are included and free to use. We kayaked over to a the edge of the bay where we had the whole beach to ourselves to explore. We snorkeled and saw sea turtles and beautiful fish (NOTE: the reefs in the BVIs are still recovering from the hurricane, but are coming back and beginning to show more color and life.) Sunsets every night on the beach are a must. The resort has wifi, but it's in and out reception. Maid service was awesome, we had a spotless room every day. Locally made shampoo and soap are provided, as are fresh towels and beach towels every day. We recommend renting a car for the week. We used Speedy's and paid $45/day for a little Suzuki Jimny, which was perfect, and Speedy's is a block from the ferry, so very convenient to drop off when you are ready to leave. The views driving the island are incredible. Sugarcane Restaurant is right up the road from Mango Bay Resort, and has live music on certain nights of the week. This is the place to be if you want a laid back, relaxing vacation! Book it!

Mango Bay describes itself as “a small and cozy, yet easygoing, luxury resort”. We’d agree.
We booked a couple of nights there and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in a garden studio which was the only one bedroom suite available for our dates. We would have preferred a beach front location (may be next time) but actually the garden room was perfectly adequate for a two night stay.
The communication was excellent when we booked and on the day of our arrival we got a message to say that our room was ready (earlier than the published check-in time) and to let them know when we were on the way so that we could met at the carpark. Like a lot of places in the BVI, WhatsApp seems to the preferred means of communication. We got a very friendly welcome and a quick tour of the facilities.
The room had all that we needed with a small but well equipped kitchenette. There was even a tray of fish shaped icecubes in the freezer waiting for our first G&T! The bathroom was super with locally produced toiletries from the EC Soap Co.
There is no restaurant or bar at Mango Bay so a car is essential but there was some excellent places nearby (the SugarCane to name but one). The small beach is delightful and was always quiet with plenty of places to sit. There is also a selection of water toys to try out – kayaks, paddle boards and floating mattresses.
There is wifi throughout the resort although it seemed a little temperamental. Still it was useful as we had no cell coverage.
There are certainly more lively places to stay on Gorda but for anyone seeking peace and tranquillity as we were, Mango Bay fits the bill very nicely. I can’t wait to return with family later in the year.

My family and I spent a week at Mango Bay Resort and had a fabulous time. Mahoe Bay is an absolutely beautiful beach and the water is an ever changing shade of turquoise. The first morning my wife and son went kayaking in the bay and were approached by 3 sea turtles! We had an Ocean View condo with 2 bedrooms (room 7), which were spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. The housekeeper Ketisha did an outstanding job making sure the room was perfectly clean every morning. Paola was a great host and just a moment’s away for any queries we had (she lent us her sugar the first morning for our tea!). Paola also recommended Dive BVI for a snorkeling excursion, and we did a one day trip which included 3 snorkeling stops (the Indians, Angelfish Reef, and Manchioneel Bay) and lunch at Cooper Island. We have snorkeled in many different countries, and this was the best snorkeling we have ever done (we saw rays, barracuda, sea turtles, cowfish, shark sucker, jawfish, rainbow parrot fish, and many more). The apartment comes with a kitchen and barbecue grill which we made good use of throughout our stay. The weather was great the whole week, and the trip could not have been better. Virgin Gorda was beautiful and we look forward to coming back!

Immaculate property, beautiful vegetation all around. Anita took great care of us. The villa suite was modern and clean. Kitchen was well equipped, but you do need to purchase everything you need to cook as there weren’t any spices, oils etc left behind. Also need to bring own toiletries as there was no shampoo/conditioner supplied. Stores on island are hit or miss, we hit 3 different ones to find what we needed. Rosy’s seemed to have the best inventory. The float mats were a nice touch, we enjoyed floating on them looking out at the reef with our snorkel masks. The kayaks were also a lot of fun to try out. Water was a little rough when we were there and the reef is shallow so may be difficult for novice snorkelers. We stayed in an ocean view room, more of a peak a view so if we stay there again we would splurge for ocean front or save some $$ and go garden view. It was a most enjoyable stay! Oh and don’t forget the bug spray, mosquitoes are plentiful.

I can't say enough good things about our stay at Mango Bay Resort. We were upgraded to an unbelievable beachfront suite. You just can't beat sipping your coffee just mere steps away from the water. We're pretty low maintenance but the staff really went the extra mile. From raking the sand every morning to spotlessly cleaning our room, they were working hard to make sure that we were taken care of. Fall Break is pretty slow so it felt like we had the island to ourselves. We did plenty of exploring but our daughter really just preferred hanging out back at the resort. We had fun on the kayaks, paddleboards, and just snorkeling the reef there. It's great to have a full kitchen at your disposal as well. I have to say, we've stayed in a beachfront villa on Bora Bora and I honestly think I enjoyed this even more. Awesome place. We hope to be back soon.

I have reviewed Mango Bay before – in February 2020 when I described it as a slice of paradise and threatened that we would return with our family. We did so in April and my 5-star rating very much still applies.

This time we booked a beachfront villa which was just perfect. The villa was right on the beach so we had an excellent view of the spectacular sunsets. The living accommodation was excellent. We were four adults with 2 little ones and the layout of the villa worked out perfectly. Mum and Dad had a separate bedroom with the children in their own adjoining living area with sofabed away. The main living, dining and kitchen areas were spacious and the grandparents were able to retreat to their own master bedroom away from the hubbub!

There were two dining areas with two barbecues. With the children we found it easier to go out to lunch (we got to Hogs Heaven this time which lived up to expectations) and stay in for dinner so the barbecue was well used.

We all loved the beach and beach toys and it was so useful to have an outside shower. On request Mango Bay provide snorkelling gear which was delivered within minutes of my asking. As last time, the service was super friendly and efficient. A highlight for the children was seeing the coconuts being cut down and we were given 3 coconuts to try. It seems that nothing is too much trouble for the team.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in December at Mango Bay Resort. Weather was perfect, Cai and the resort staff were helpful, attentive and very responsive to our questions and requests We stayed in one of the Ocean view units which was clean, fresh and beautifully furnished. The beach is just a few footsteps away with fabulous calm turquoise waters and a long golden sandy beach. There is snorkel equipment is provided for guests as well as kayaks and paddle boards. We loved snorkelling and kayaking out to the reef and saw plenty of fish and a few turtles! We absolutely loved it and cannot wait to come back, would highly recommend !!!

Great location, great beach, great villa.
Small community of villas & suites ON THE BEACH …. literally.

Location: Mango Bay Resort is located in Mahoe Bay on the “soft wave” side of the island, at the base of Virgin Gorda National Park. Its nestled in a very quite area, so although there are several restaurants the will offer free r/t taxi, a vehicle is suggested to visit the numerous restaurants & sights of VG
Beach: Soft white sand, clear turquoise water, mild waves (if any), & good snorkeling. uncrowded, & picturesque
Villa: beach front - walk out back door onto sand, 10 more steps into the Caribbean! 2/bedroom/2bath/fully equipped kitchen. Spotless with a/c
Management (Ashley & Nate) delivered what they promise: a quiet, peaceful, location & a management team that will meet their guests requests & needs

After a long absence due to hurricane Irma, Mango Bay is once again open for business and better than ever—now including a salt water pool.
Before our arrival at the resort, we had groceries shipped from the Tortola Riteway (no association with the drug store) to the Spanish Town dock. Mango Bay’s Nathan was hugely accommodating and picked up, delivered and stored our goods in the room’s kitchenette.
One evening, we noticed Gary, the groundskeeper, knocking down coconuts from the trees at the beach. He subsequently demonstrated his skill with a machete and trimmed off the husks, serving out coconut water and coconut jelly to guests. It was a spontaneous and charming gesture.
We look forward to returning to Mango Bay, as in the past, for kayaking, paddle boarding and lounging while listening to the birds chirping and the waves crashing, all in a genial and relaxed environment.

When I went before the hurricane they had no restaurant or bar on site but you don’t need one. The restaurants are close to the resort by car and we’re delicious. We purchased food and alcohol for our days at the resort and kayaked and swam there or went to the Baths some days. The Baths has a restaurant and bar and a pool. There are so many beautiful places to go to during the day. You won’t be disappointed with this resort.
