I've said before that GCBC is our home away from home and it still is. You can snorkel right off the beach. Creole Rock Sports Center is right on the property and will book day trips for you always with a smile on their face and helpful manner. Sunset Cafe is a delightful place to have breakfast and start your day. You're on vacation and could make breakfast in your room but why when you have the Sunset. Another plus is that one can walk to a number of excellent restaurants and feel safe even after dark as the road is now lighted by solar. A find for us this year was Le Bistronome...make a reservation!
The mark of a really good Hotel/Resort is when the GM is away it runs like clockwork, continuing to provide great service by super friendly employees. Nowhere has this been more evident that in our first return trip to this property in over 4 years. This year we brought 3 additional families ( we have recommended many more friends and family to stay before) at the time when GM Stephen Wright was on annual home leave and little did I know when he placed me in the hands of Laura Pikullik, who is in charge of Marketing/Reservations and to Lynn Taylor, Rooms Manager, along with their colleagues, how well we would all be looked after. We were arriving from Anguilla where I was officiating my nephew’s wedding and after the wedding I wanted to introduce this wonderful island and its amazing property to family members some of whom had children. Of course Anguilla is magnificent with its resorts and views but it is also expensive and the huge resorts almost keep you trapped on their properties without much of an opportunity to explore. No such issue with St Martin with its restaurants, shopping and beaches. With so many to take care of, Laura was truly professional as well as sympathetic to all of the changes, pick-ups, drop-offs, requests for information and voluminous e-mails and calls I made. She took care of all of our requests and seamlessly made our transfer from Anguilla to Grand Case with apparent ease (making it seem easy even though I know she had much to coordinate). It was wonderful to see the property upgraded and many familiar faces. The welcome wine in our rooms was again a nice touch. The Pool is new, the restaurant under new management (though we miss the courtesy breakfast that is no more) with a great selection for meals all during the morning, lunch and dinner. Safety and security were again well taken care of and having a nurse provide covid testing every evening was very helpful. The travel desk is still there and the gift shop expanded and renovated. Check in and out areas were upgraded and the old huge safe locks are still in effect along with handing in and receiving daily towels. The laundry facilities are upgraded although from time to time needed maintenance. A new feature is the ability to pre-order food and sundries and have then ready in your room at check-in. During this pandemic period, very helpful especially to those with young kids. Several new cafes , eateries have opened since our last stay, pharmacies and supermarkets. Renting a car is a better economic option than taking multiple taxis which can add-up. Sadly we missed the opportunity for the Managers meet and greet as we had a farewell dinner at the Orient Beach which is full of restaurants of all varieties. A reminder to my fellow travelers that all the employees work really hard to provide you with an amazing stay. Please remember to add gratuities especially but not limited to Housekeeping. OK, a bit dated looking but, hey, everything cannot be modern. So, our thoughts! Positive! Were there for 3 nights and our junior suite had everything we needed though the use of the very functional kitchen was not used apart from the kettle for our daily need - English breakfast tea! Grounds are well tended, the two beaches either side of the resort were very pleasant, snorkelling options good and as an alternative a decent pool. Surprised that the Sunset Café was not owned by the resort but complimented it well. Enjoyed our stay but would next time go for a second floor room as traffic outside of our ground floor suite was busy. Overall though, loved it.
Stayed here for 6 nights in Nov 2022. The 2 beaches on the property are excellent. Decent snorkeling from shore. Ocean views are impressive and sunsets from the balcony are a highlight. The room was a bit shabby. No blanket on the bed. Popcorn ceiling. Ancient safe. Banged up kitchen. But the front desk staff were amazing. Location is also very good - you can easily walk into town for dinner. Might try a different hotel next time but there are a lot of positives here.
Once again we stayed at our favorite place and had a terrific vacation! We celebrated our 55th anniversary and had an amazing time. The entire staff is wonderful, especially our friends in the office, Ruth, Rosalyn, & Christine. As always, it’s was a pleasure catching up with Steven & Marga. Grand Case Beach Club is the perfect place for a unforgettable vacation!
I have been fortunate to stay many times at Grand Case Beach Club. Yes, the views are wonderful, and the ambiance is perfect. But other resorts also have great views and a nice ambiance. What sets it apart is from the minute you arrive it is like being part of a wonderful family. The friendliness of all of the staff is genuine and they always take time to ask if they can help or if you need anything. The rooms are wonderful, especially the two-story rooms with two bedrooms and complete privacy each with large balconies and a great view, The fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare anything and the large fridge and freezer are a plus. Multiple outlets and USB ports abound and being there on business is a big plus for me. This doesn't happen by accident it emanates from the top down. Director Steve Wright is always available and more than approachable for any questions or concerns. He is to be complimented for the result. BTW check out the small gift shop near the restaurant. Steve's wife who owns the shop is a delight and can answer any questions about the island. The man at watersports can arrange anything for you if you want to do more than be on the beach. Try it on your next visit. I guarantee you'll be hooked as I have been.…
We shouldn’t tell you about this place as we want to keep it to ourselves. Our 25th wedding anniversary found us on the island of Anguilla followed by an alternative week in St Martin. We wish we had booked two weeks in St Martin !!!!! The hotel is definitely a hidden gem. Located on Grand Case beach with amazing views of Creole Rock and in the distance Anguilla. We had a garden view ground floor room which initially we thought we might not like as we like a sea view but the room is excellent. Located only 20 steps from the sea. It has a lovely secluded patio where we have enjoyed lunches of fresh French bread and wine on many of our days. The room has recently been refurbished and has kitchen facilities, wide screen tv. Air con and a large bathroom with rain shower. The Sunset restaurant is great for lunch and cocktails but evening service is too slow and the menu doesn’t change. This didn’t give us a problem as there are 15 amazing restaurants within 10 mins easy walk of the hotel. Or favourite restaurant has to be Le Pressoir. An amazing French fine dining restaurant only 10 mins walk fro our hotel. See our separate review about this. We can’t wait to return next year and are counting the days. …
Well situated on the beach, we had a ground floor suite which was modern, well equipped and comfortable. The terrace looked out over the beautiful bay. The staff were very helpful and queries/issues were sorted quickly and efficiently. It is a short walk from the magnificent restaurants of Grand Case which are well worth a visit. If you don’t want to make the 5 minute walk one evening the Sunset Cafe on site also serves lovely food overlooking the Ocean. Would highly recommend this for a lovely relaxing holiday.
I was looking for rooms directly on the water for our anniversary trip and boy did I find them! The whole resort is just lovely. The rooms were spotless with daily maid service and everybody was so incredibly friendly. Did I mention that the rooms are also huge?? The beach area was just beautiful and spotless. The service was impeccable from the delicious Sunset Cafe both inside and chair side on the beach by Pierre. It’s just a very short walk into town for many more delicious restaurants. A high-ranking minister from France flew in, ate at the restaurant on the resort and spent the night there. I guess that says it all… Thank you Lynn and staff for the anniversary champagne! (In addition to the wine in our room on arrival.). We’re already talking and planning our next stay…
Friendly staff. Good swimming, snorkelling. Not so suitable for lying on beach. Calmer waters than west if island. Town a short walk away with great restaurants. Lolos are surprisingly expensive. Several of best restaurants on St Martin there. We’ll be back.
