This was my fourth year visiting St. Maarten and staying in Simpson Bay. This was my first time staying at Mary’s Boon. This is a gorgeous section of the beach on Simpson Bay. The resort is situated right on the beach. I stayed in an...More
I travel to SXM frequently and booked this establishment for one night before our Windstar cruise for December 29, in August. Unfortunately hurricane Irma hit the island and Windstar moved our departure to Barbados instead of St. Martin. I cancelled the hotel reservation September 23rd...More
Our flights in February were just cancelled due to the hurricane, so we are no longer able to make our trip that week. Just spoke with the General Manager, Ronnie, who told us that we are unable to get a refund for our one night...More
My husband and I had a heavenly 3 night stay here in June. Were thrilled to find a place that I could navigate with a medical boot on each foot, and could see the water from our room.
From the moment we arrived, we were...More

Hello, I was talking with Elena, one of the people who run Mary's, and she said although there is extensive damage they are hoping to be up and running again by December. I think the best thing to do is contact then direct a little closer to your holiday, say the end of November for an update. I am sure either way they are trying there best to get things sorted as soon as they can. Up to the last time I spoke with her they had no running water or sanitation and intermittent mains power. And its the same for all the island right now. Such a shame for all involved.
Most of the main structure survived with little damage but a few rooms were destroyed in the garden area. Most of the trees have gone and the beach has been pushed back quite a bit, but this will rectify it's self over time.

The hotel was damaged. They are in the process of cleaning up currently. I don't know if it will be feasible to stay on the island even through the end of the year, as much was destroyed. Phone service and utilities are not operational in many areas. You may try to contact them through the Mary's Boon Facebook page for now. They are able to communicate somewhat in that way.
I hope this helps you.
