The hotel is clean, with a great restaurant; however, the reception staff practice lousy customer service. On one particular occasion, I booked a taxi at the reception, and after 48 min waiting, i found an alternative, then when getting into the alternative, the hotel aggressively tried to stop me from taking it, and told me to wait for the booked taxi; the problem was it was 48min late, and i had a flight. The hotel reception would benefit from smiling, and not treating its paying guest as the enemy.
After a latenight cancellation of our flight on United, the airline put us up at the Hommage for the night. We were tired and really didn't want any more travel hassles so the welcome we received here was a blessing. Due to a medical condition, I asked for a room on the ground floor. No sooner than I asked a gentleman offered to take our luggage to the room. I tried to offer him a gratuity which he adamantly refused to take. As he explained he was the owner of the hotel and he was there to serve us. As we checked in at 10:00pm we asked if the kitchen would still be open. He responded the kitchen would stay open until all of the guests were fed. During our stay on the island, we had several meals at some of the top restaurants on the island. This food topped them all. Great mahi mahi and roasted chicken. As we got to talk to the owner, he mentioned that he has been a successful businessman from Montreal and wanted to own hotel. He loved sharing his joy with his guests. So, kudus to Baki and Sylvie for welcoming us to their "home" and treating us like old friends. This hotel proves you don't have to stay at a 5 star hotel to get 5 star service.…
We loved Hommage Hotel. We stayed here prior to the hurricane and we were amazed at the quick recovery. The room was huge, newly renovated, beautifully desgined, clean, and very comfortable. The grounds are lushly landscaped and well maintained (one area for improvement would be to use quieter electric lawn care equipment). The lovely modern art throughout the property adds to the experience. The pool is large and we were alway able to get lounge chairs. In the future it would ber nice to have a bar adjacent to the pool. The balcony overlooking the lagoon has wonderful sunset views. All of the staff are very professional and friendly. We even had a glass of champagne with the charming owner! The location is super convenient with easy access to the airport, walking distance to superb restaurants (Mezza Luna & Mati Beach), a well stocked grocery and wine shop. Marigot, Baie Rouge and Mullet Bay beaches. Although the aiport is just across the lagoon ther is hardly any airplane noise. The resort restaurant was wonderful with amazing food and a great wine list. The breakfast was outstanding. Overall Hommage Hotel is a luxury resort at an affordable rate.…
This is a charming, pretty hotel in the French side. Restaurant is very good as well. Unfortunately the Front Desk really needs to improve in term of how they treat the guest. I have asked for a taxi and after waiting for 50 minutes, I’ve decided not to go out and was informed that I had go pay a 20 EUR cancellation fee. Of course I did not agree with that and the next day I’ve asked assistance to call a taxi to go to the airport and they said they could not help me because of what has happened the previous night. Also, I’ve asked for an adaptor to charge my phone and was lectures by the Front Desk agent that she was doing me a favor and that O had to return it, like a was a thief or the sorts. Apparently they have a prejudice with Latin American people. And it is a pitty, because the place is nice 😞…
After a very long day and a disappointing flight cancellation, some passengers of the canceled flight were relegated to stay at the Hommage Hotel & Residences. My party of six were some of the passengers. We all expected the worst, but all of us were pleasantly surprised with every aspect of our stay at this establishment. The rooms were large, clean, well maintained and this stay turned a disappointing situation into a great experience. I was so impressed from the top down to include the ownership, management and every employee that I had the pleasure to meet and interact with. The proprietor was extremely helpful, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I would also like to recognize, and I hope that I don't misspell their names. Ms. Amina Arbia was a wonderful hostess. I cannot say enough about how she made my party feel welcome, at ease and appreciated. Merci Amina. In addition, I would like to thank and recognize Emelyne. This girl was whirling dervish of activity with a smile and disposition that would make anyone feel welcome. With my many years of experience in business, the folks I mentioned plus all of the staff I came into contact with, I would hire for my business in a heartbeat. I highly recommend this establishment. They turned a not so good situation into a great experience. Thanks again. Merci. See you in the future.…
Nice and friendly hotel in friendly island. Ideally for work and vacation. Good team, delicious food. It’s the best place in Marigot. When I m here, I feel very good. Rooms are very confortable. Pool open all the day. #sxm #arthotel #relax My favorite place in French side of St Martin
Although I didn’t stay at this hotel, I was very impressed with it. I asked my driver if I could visit, because the art was so beautiful. He asked the owner if I could view the premises, and he said yes. The walkways, and garden, and murals on the facade of the building, and the sculptures were all so beautiful. I have never seen a resort with such amazing art. I felt like I was at a museum, not a resort. This should be a landmark, as it is one of the most beautifully decorated places I’ve seen on the island. This is definitely a must see for art enthusiasts and lovers. Thank you for allowing me the pleasure.
We stayed here one night when our flight out was cancelled. This hotel did an amazing job taking in 200 weary travelers who were looking to get home on Easter Sunday. A huge thank you to them. We definitely got the short end when rooms were handed out, but our room was adequate for 3 guests for one night and well appointed overall. My one criticism would be that the bed was more firm than I would typically prefer. Food onsite was quite good (especially the croissants in the morning!). There is a lovely calm beach. The pool area is really pretty. The grounds are beautiful and very lush, so there are some flying insects though they did not bother us much. The playground is really nice for kids as well.
This hotel is in the Nettle Beach, actually the beach is on the other side of the road But they have a beach like lake just Next to the hotel. Quite nice to sit and have a drink in their beach bar. Frankly speaking the nettle beach was nothing special From the hotel to the beautiful mullet bay beach driving within 15 minute. There were nothing around this hotel, no supermarket, shops, for sure you need a car. The room was quite big in size, it's a simple room with bed, sofa and tv. I paid Usd 250/night staying in the ground floor without any view + you need to close the curtain or other guest could see you inside the room when they walk by. My recommendation is pay a bit more to get a sea view hotel somewhere. I would recommend to stay in oyster beach, the beach is nice and quiet.…
I forgot a case of gold and diamond jewellery and the hotel returned it to me.. excellent customer service and organising. I have stayed at this hotel many times for the sxm festival, its the best! I would definitely recommend it!
