Our worst experience in St. Lucia. $50 per person for a 15 minute tour of what they call chocolate project, that doesn’t even show you how chocolate is made. Very slow service at the restaurant and food that was below average Expensive and very bad value for money
An amazing stay and experience - the staff were great, the rooms were beautiful and the restaurant was fantastic. A truly unique experience and a gorgeous setting. Would recommend staying here or (at the very least) visiting the restaurant. We had a private dining experience by the pool which was really special.
This hotel is nice the view is great but it is insanely overpriced. Navigating around the hotel isn’t very convenient. The front desk staff overcharge you for taxi and travel excursions then pocket the extra cost. It is incredibly unprofessional. As a Caribbean person, it was so disappointing to know there is no nightlife in the hotel they barely played any reggae. The staff will a price for a taxi then when the taxi comes it’ll be even more than what was promised. You’ll have conversations with guests about where your going and suddenly they’ll ask about your plans trying to force to do their expensive service and saying the one you chose isn’t safe. It is a lie. Dinner and lunch is over priced. Bar by pool was never open not once! Didn’t provide candles for my birthday even though my dinner was almost $200usd for 2 people. I would not recommend this hotel. Your money is their priority and not experience. The bartender with glasses made me feel about my swimsuit and coverup because I wore it at the bar. I left the bar in tears. I came to celebrate my birthday and didn’t have the fondest time because they cater to the uk clientele. I was so disappointed because I tipped staff and to be treated as such isn’t cool. Some staff was pleasant.…
I was lucky enough to win five nights here through a Hotel Chocolat competition. I took my friend with me and we had the holiday of a lifetime! I thought maybe as we had won it we mightn’t quite get the full experience because we hadn’t paid like the other guests had for it (and to be honest it’s probably something we wouldn’t have been able to afford ourselves) but we were treated so well and made to feel so welcome. The staff are so friendly, polite and welcoming, always making sure things were ok and we were happy. Marguerite and her excellent team - Jennie, Jonathan, Michele and Sherma to name but a few - really looked after us and made our time there extra special. And a particular mention to Hencia who was kind enough to give me a little souvenir at checkout which I’m absolutely delighted with! We did all the big touristy things while we were in St Lucia and although we really enjoyed the beaches and various natural wonders on the island, I have to say the thing I was most impressed with was the stunningly beautiful hotel grounds. The plants, the fruit, the flowers and the wildlife was just amazing. Friendly little finches and hummingbirds flying about, luscious palm, coconut, banana, cashew, citrus and of course cocoa trees, sugar cane and coffee plants. All the gardeners were so friendly and willing to answer our questions about the plants too, and a little detail I really enjoyed was that many of the plants themselves were labelled so you could see for yourself what you were looking at. The Jurassic Trail around the estate is fantastic - we really did feel like we were about to bump into dinosaurs around the next corner! And I would absolutely recommend the tree to bean to bar experience. You really won’t look at a bar of chocolate the same way ever again! There is a real sense at the hotel that they care about their grounds and how they produce their chocolate, with a lot of thought put into ethical farming and using their produce well. The restaurant is amazing - with a view second to none (which can also be enjoyed from the incredible infinity pool!) and a wonderful atmosphere. The food was delicious and it was great to try so much different local produce. The menu is superb and everything tastefully presented. Although it’s the dinner menu people probably pay most attention to, I have to say I think it was the breakfasts we enjoyed the most! Fresh fruit from the estate and a little sample of the smoothie or fruit juices of the day always included before the main event. And the French toast, banana bread and pancakes were sublime! We had a thoroughly wonderful time and have taken so many amazing memories with us. If you’re considering a trip to St Lucia, I don’t think there’s anywhere better you could stay. PS The private poolside dinner is a very special experience - if you’re celebrating a special occasion or just to treat yourselves I would highly recommend it! It’s a very special place.…
My wife and I ended up at this hotel at the last minute when our flight out of St. Lucia was cancelled and we ended up loving it! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly starting with Cindy and Marguerite at the front desk were there to help us with these last-minute travel changes. The food and drinks are amazing. A lot of the menu took advantage of the local fresh fruits, the cocoa plantation on property and other local foods. The staff in this area was also outstanding with the bartender Joewell and waitress Anne Cecille really leading the way. Some of our favorite dishes were the vegetable presse, the local pork and the chocolate tasting. The hotel is primarily made up of the individual cottages, the restaurant and the pool. The lodges are very comfortable and unique feeling. They have beautiful views and open air showers. While we enjoyed these spaces the real draw is their massive property which I think is 140 acres. We only had time to walk part of one of the paths through the forest which opened up to hut with chairs and a hammock overlooking a field surrounded by rain forest. Definitely bring hiking shoes as it was pretty muddy on the day we went, but absolutely worth the walk. We are now looking forward to returning to our accidental find so we can explore more of everything they offer! …
While the staff (AnneCecile, Tanika, Antonio) were universally great, the setting of the Rabot was highlight - with sunset views of the Piton seemingly just in front of every deck and pool, was what made the stay exemplary. Throw in a wide range of seemingly endless activities at your disposal (or just laze around the pool and enjoy that view), and it was a stay not to be soon forgotten.
We were so happy with our stay at Rabot Estate. This is a very beautiful property. Very clean and well maintained. Staff is very professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully designed. We really enjoyed the walking trails around the property. Trails are well maintained and marked well. The property is located close to the Pitons and the volcano. 10/10!
My husband and I stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon and the views from the hotel restaurant were absolutely stunning, breathtaking, picturesque, instagrammable. It is very quiet and peaceful here with only adults allowed as guests. It feels like a romantic spot ideal for couples for sure. Some things to note: The pool is on the smaller side and rather intimate, given the smaller boutique nature of the hotel. All rooms have windows that don't fully seal, so you'll experience the outside weather some and hear the noises of the local bird and insect populations. That means you might wake up earlier than you might intend and you might always experience some level of humidity in your room. The showers are well situated to both be private and give you the feel of an outdoor, shower in the sun. I personally loved the shower! The food at the restaurant is very decent but rather on the pricy side. I would recommend setting outside the restaurant to experience some local restaurants rather than having every meal here. Overall, highly professional staff, luxury feel, boutique hotel vibes, but a bit on the pricey side.…
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Chocolat for our honeymoon and it was amazing! The food was great, the pool wonderful, and the spa was spectacular. On top of that, everyone went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic—especially Cindy at the front desk. We loved our stay and hope to be back soon!
My friends and I went to Hotel Chocolat for lunch. Absolutely fabulous food and service. The staff are professional, charming and efficient. The food is utterly delicious and not just a chocolate lovers dream, but a treat for everyone. The cocktail selection is varied and exciting. The white chocolate mojito is a beautiful dream in a glass. I would totally recommend lunch there any day.
