I spent one night here while overnighting in St. Lucia for work. I had been here before, but just passing through and never really stayed in the hotel. I had heard good things about it so I was happy to stay for myself.

Yes you are allowed to have visitors just not overnight i presume...as for the all inclusive i would opt for the breakfast and explore Gros Islet as there are many options to choose from at reasonable prices.
I'm not sure there was even a recent refurbishment but the hotel is decent for the price. Accommodations are clean and the proximity to the beach is a 5mins walk. There is wear and tear so if the minor stuff doesn't bother... More
