I have given the one star for Location. It really is in one of the most idilic anywhere in the world. If you look on my history of reviews I rarely give a bad review but whoever owns this property needs to invest the profits back into the business that's what makes a buisness more successful it's basic common sense,...

Were there for one night before heading to more remote areas of Martinique for our stay. Arrived late and in the rain. Got lost finding the hotel and drove around the town for quite a while. For such a large property, it's a challenge to find! It's a nice upscale hotel - not a grand resort (which is OK by...

Stay here if you'd like to overpay for a hotel or if you have money to waste. 1. I discovered a dead roach behind our tv. 2. We were one floor from reception area and we had 1 bar of wifi! It was terrible. 3. Anyone can go on the "private beach" 4.The restaurant in the hotel and around the...

I am currently staying at the hotel. It is a two star at best. The restaurants are overpriced and the food is horrible. They have people from cruise ships invade the hotel's "private" beach daily. The room smells musty and is not clean. The service is mediocre as well. Our televisions and safeties not work. The wifi was basically nonexistent....

I just returned from a week in Martinique and Martinique now rates as my favorite Caribbean Island. My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Bakoua on Pointe du Bout. The hotel was magnificent from the first moment to the last. It was actually great before the first moment. As I planned the trip last fall I contacted the hotel...

We recently stayed at Bakoua from Dec 26 - Jan 2. Arriving at night with a rental car was not the easiest journey but once we found Bakoua it was well lit and marked. We were greeted with a rum punch and our room was ready. I will note this now....Martinique is a French speaking island so brush up before...

Oh this hotel is so beautifully located! We stayed here for 6 nights and to sit down for breakfast at the Bakoua with such a spectacular view, sipping very nice coffee and enjoying fresh fruit, pancakes, croissants...just taking it all in...what more can you ask for? I have to mention the sunsets too, just amazing. As other reviwers mention, the...

We had an excellent 2 nights stay at the Bakoua hotel last weekend. We stayed in room 134 which offers a balcony and a lovely side terrace. It is an historical hotel with a 5 stars view. The common areas are lovely, with great architectural details, dark wood tropical furniture and beautiful flowering gardens. Some reviewers have complained about the...

We were supposed to stay at La Pagerie but they were over booked and moved us to the Bakoua. We were lucky to end up at Bakoua. Ive read reviews that the staff is rude. This totally untrue. The staff is really friendly and nice. The thing is that no one in Martinique speaks English that well. So a lot...

My girlfriend and I spent a week at the Bakoua hotel in mid May 2015. We were very satisfied with the service, and the overall experience. We found the breakfast buffet was quite complete, as well as the dinner menu. The dinner staff really made our stay memorable, and we would like to command particularly Patrick and Francine for their...
