Located behind a gate on the end of Point Bout, it's like an old movie starlet who has seen better days. Apparently, it used to be a Sofitel property. The words I would use to describe it best are "tired" and "spartan". It was probably very, very nice in the 80s. It has it's own small, private beach, which was...

The Hotel Bakoua is in a great location - close to many restaurants and shops. It also has a lovely beach, great water sports, and a few restaurants. The room itself was clean and nice. The hotel offers free parking and is secure - behind a gate. We rented a car so it was a bit difficult to locate at...

Beach and location are very good. But we didn't get the room we paid for which was a two room suite. Got a tiny room albeit great view from the deck. People are nice and tried to help but sold out. The Coco bar on the water is a great spot but the waiter was the least friendly bartender I...

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, I'm really pleased to ear that you enjoyed your stay and the location. I'm suprised you think you did not have the room you paid for. Regarding your file, it was the room you booked ... I will check the pictures on the internet and see if there is not a problem with them. I apologized...

Taking advantage of Norweigen Air's great fares we visited Martinique for a short weekend. We arrived at the hotel after a short 30 minute drive and were welcomed by Lucien and provided welcome cocktails by Mark. We were graciously upgraded to a room w/balcony overlooking the ocean and Fort de France. The room was clean, comfortable, and had nice amenties...

Our recent 7 day Martinique stay was based out of this well located and well worn beach front resort. Relaxing our "american" expectations and standards (necessary at many French/Caribbean Islands) allowed us to enjoy the memorable views, azure pool and sunnyhot beach and not be concerned about broken bathroom tiles, spotty wi-fi, minimal entertainment / guest service. (making hot coffee...

The Bakoua is overlooking the sea with it's own beach. The ferry to Port au Prince is only 5 minutes walk if you cut through the shops. Expect a mainly French clientele and you will need a bit of French to get the best out of the stay. Booking direct was cheaper than a website and made choice of room...

Looking for a laid back hotel, with a wonderful beach, close to town. This is the one. Book a room on the beach. worth the price. Alittle climb everytime you go to your room but you work off extra calories from the food.

Hotel Bakoua is by far the nicest hotel in Troy Islets -good food and a great beach. I was disapointed that staff provided us with one of the worst rooms in the hotel (room 105 in Petite Bourge bldg.) 225 EUR a night should buy much better. I was also disappointed that only with much pleading were we able to...

We have stayed in this hotel twice recently. It has lovely views over the bay, a small private beach and pretty gardens. The hotel itself is in desperate need of a complete renovation. Tiles are cracked and broken in the bathrooms, mound in the grouting and taps hanging off the walls. The curtains are filthy! Everything is very tired, broken...
