My family and I stayed at Great Escape for 3 days during the dates of December 9-11, 2012. We rented the 3 bedroom suite villa and it was 6 of us. We absolutely loved the place. This location is away from the hotels and away from anyone. The way to relax and to enjoy a real vacation with the family... More

This is a homey, kinda funky guest house in the Vieques countryside. Each room is furnished differently. Some rooms have ocean views, others have countryside views. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the side away from the parking lot. Our room was clean, comfortable and had a nice balcony. Danuta, the lady who runs the... More

My wife and I went to Vieques on a bussines trip. We stay on The Great Scape B&B by accident since ther were no vacances in other hotels on the island. We do not regreat our choice. The place is beutifull and quiet. The pool is cristal clear and Dona makes you feel like you are at home. The only... More

Great Escape is a good compromise for people who want something clean, peaceful and attractive, but who don't mind a few quirks. You will find the great mixed with the not-so-great here, and as long as you're relaxed about it you'll love the place. For example, the tiles on our floors were absolutely beautiful and expensive looking. But our incredibly... More

There is normally a two night minimum but our reservation fell in between two others, Dana allowed us to stay for one night. This hotel is located on Route 201 with handwritten signs pointing out the hotel. Be sure to keep a close eye for the signs. The driveway is very steep and uneven dirt path so you will probably... In quality accomodation starved Vieques, this is one of the better places to stay. Located on top of a hll with almost constant trade winds, this B&B is 15 minutes (and $5 per person via publicos) away from the ferry terminal. Terrific fixtures, modern decor, a pool with views of the island and the ocean in the distance make this... More

We stayed at the Great Escape for 4 nights and LOVED it. We were enchanted with the place from the moment we got there. We arrived at 10PM and Dana - the owner, was waiting for us. We were offered cold drinks and were introduced to the other guests that were on the terrace . The room was amazing for... More

Certainly every experience at a B&B or hotel is going to be personal, and our time at Great Escape was not awful. However there were some things we wish we would have known prior to our stay: --There is a 10% "service charge" that is added at the end of your stay, in addition to the standard 9% lodging tax;... My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in the Spring. We were the only ones at the inn, and it felt like we had this great beautiful house to ourselves! After flying in from San Juan, and taking a publico to the Great Escape, I was a little uneasy. I wondered if this was too rugged or too secluded of a place to vacation. There were wild horses by the side of the road and a dog lying in the street, just taking a rest. It didn't annoy me, I... More
