Kurt is a wonderful and most intriguing man. He loves his plants and his work, and you can feel it. His farm is nestled neatly atop the PR mountains. His farm is so biodiverse; It proved to be a sanctuary and a relaxing well delivered experience.

Staying with Kurt at Hacienda Pomarossa was a real highlight of our holiday in Puerto Rico. Do not let the drive put you off! Some of the reviews here say it's really scary so we were worried, but it's actually fine - and we are nervous drivers and did it in a rainstorm! The road is wide enough for two... More

This is a terrific tour if you are a coffee lover -- or if you just want to get out of the tourist areas for a day. If you are coming from San Juan and follow Kurt's (the owner's) recommended route, you'll also get a great drive down to the southern side of the island before you head up into... More

We wanted to get out of San Juan for a day and see more of the island. We found information on Kurt and his tours online and thought learning about coffee would be interesting. It was so much fun and so interesting that we want to go back and just hang out with Kurt. The drive up the mountain road... More

The coffee tour was fantastic! Very educational! Kurt taught us all about the history of coffee and told us the story of how coffee made its way to Puerto Rico. Sabastian walked us through the process of coffee, from plant to cup, while showing us around the cute property hidden in the hills of Ponce. The drive to get to... More

I'm usually not the type of person to write reviews online, but I felt that this was too good to keep to myself. Hacienda Pomarrosa is an absolutely unique experience if you have any interest at all in coffee. Kurt and Sebastian are a wealth of knowledge about coffee and the hospitality was excellent. A beautiful setting to enjoy coffee... More

Kurt and Sebastian were amazing tour guides. We got a full history of coffee from Kurt and then a tour of the operation followed by cappicunos with Sebastian. Both were incredibly fun, knowledgable, and very interesting tour guides. The drive up to their farm is absolutely stunning, and the farm itself is delightful. Next time we will certianly spend some... More

My mom and I stayed in Casita 3 (the newest casita, I believe) and just loved it. Casita 3 has a beautiful balcony into the rainforest... when you sit out there, you are surrounded by lush greenery on all sides. It's like a little slice of Heaven. All day (and especially all night) you can hear the sounds of the... More

We took the tour around this small, gourmet coffee farm. The drive to get there is up some very steep, narrow curvy roads and it's a big part of the adventure to just get there. When you call to make reservations, they will tell you to follow their directions and not the GPS on your phone. Believe them, and you... More

The drive up was one of a kind, curves and cliffs :-/... but it was well worth the ride. Our guide was Sebastian. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and amiable. The Hacienda is beautiful and well cared for. The tour started with a freshly baked banana bread baked by Sebastian himself. This was complemented by a freshly brewed cup of... More
