The location is everything! You have lots of restaurants, bars, and historical places to visit all around walking. The lobby is beautiful! The parking was ok, did not have any problem with that. The room needed some improvements. At the end of the day, it’s a century old hotel; don’t expect high-end finishes or fancy modern touches. The room was ok the only issue was with the AC, but the bathroom was vintage and nice. The shower was great tho. Overall, it’s a good hotel with nice location and great staff. Not bad at all!

This hotel has a lot of potential and can be as beautiful as the picture can share; however, the reality of something is entirely different. Once you pass the beautiful lobby and entrance of the hotel, you can experience what everyone else says in the comments and reviews. Sadly to display, this hotel needs some major TLC DESPERATELY! This hotel has all the potential to provide more if the owners invest in it. My night was awful! No parking was available for the guests staying at the hotel because there was a private event (Birthday Party) at the hotel, and all spots were compromised due to this event. Believe it or not, that’s the explanation five different guests that we all arrived at the check-in at the same time was able to receive. And this is only an example of priorities for this management team. My room condition were pretty deteriorated bathroom, floor carpet and walls. I did had a little tiny outside porch but hasn’t been cleaned with dead bugs and puddle of water and broken chair. Shameful!!!

This hotel was terrible, we booked last minute and they said it was the last room available so no option for a better room. The room was too small, bugs in the room, A/C was barely working, dirty bathroom and the shower sprayed water everywhere flooding the bathroom. Do not stay here if you have another option.

The most horrible experience we have ever had in a hotel. First, the room, completely deteriorated, old and dirty. Moldy bathroom with dirty curtains covered in lipstick, very small with hair on the floor. The day we stayed it started to rain and there was a strong smell of sewage in the corridors, they had to put buckets to collect the water from all the leaks. We had to leave the hotel because you couldn't stand between the smell and the slippery wet floors. The staff never came to clean the room and we had to go ask for towels. There was no soap and hand towels. I complained with the expedia application and the manager wrote me giving me some continental breakfasts and that they were going to bring me a towel and soap, they never came. When I went to pick up the breakfast tickets, the girl at the front desk sarcastically told me "Ahh, you're the one who complained", to which I had the opportunity to tell her how bad the hotel is. Do not pay for breakfast, it is not worth what it costs, they give you coffee in a foam cup. In the end, I do not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Stay away from this depressing Hotel.

The experience was bad. The room looks so old that is different than antique. The bed is very uncomfortable. In addition, the client service was bad. During the morning of the second day, personally I request to change the towels and more of it and when I came to bedroom during night nothing was change; neither they gave to us room service. I heard bad comments from your employees about their co-workers with other co-workers. Was the same girl of front desk. This is not professional. The way to go to the parking was dirty and under construction with a lot of dirt. The only thing that I liked was the hot water, air conditioner and the room was clean.

Beautiful Art Deco city, very quaint good for a weekend only due to many businesses only open during weekend. Lovely people, good food, cheaper than San Juan. Call museums prior to heading out due to closed on certain days.

The building is beautiful with a great restaurant and a couple of bars with a fantastic location in the heart of historic Ponce. I understand the business is being remodeled and hope that the rooms are updated at the same time as they were more akin to budget hotel rather than a historic boutique one. Also and I am aware this was out of their control, but there was a national power outage that affected the entire country's electricity and internet connectivity which significantly inconvenienced my stay, especially when the hotel's generator ran out of fuel midway through the last night of my stay. Overall, the hotel's facade and lobby are gorgeous, the common patio and pool are pretty, but the rooms are small and need to be updated.

We had a really lovely time at the Melia Century Hotel. Great location. Our room was comfortable but in need of a re-fresh. There was construction work taking place in the lobby area, so hopefully the guest rooms will get some attention too. Staff was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was not open on the Monday we were there, but the person at reception gave us a very good recommendation nearby. The 'American' breakfast we ordered was great. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Parca de Bombas and the neighboring historic area. Delightful!

After 100 years (oldest hotel in PR) economic sets backs, Hurricane Maria, Earthquakes, Pandemia, this Hotel still standing against all odds. I have a great time here, yes the hotel needs some repairs, however is clean and comfortable, you can have a nice stay here. The staff is very friendly and they go out of their ways to solve your issues. Also you need to try the restaurant Baleares at the hotel lobby, it is a hidden gem, you wont regranted, is exquisite. Also there is so much to see in Ponce “La ciudad señorial”
