One of the oldest hotels in Puerto Rico has seen better days. Frankly, I love it. While the hotel is still grand, continental Americans will find it not up to their standards. Rooms are grand with tremendous tray ceiling and restored old furniture. The bathroom reminds me of some of my favorite puzzle bathrooms in Europe :how do I sit...

No coffee maker in room. No complimentary coffee in entire hotel. We received the wrong room. This was blamed on the out-sourced website...despite receiving an acknowledgment from the HOTEL a day after making the reservation. TV had very bad reception. Problem could not be rectified. No hand wash cloths. No towel/rug for floor by shower. Only supplied with two bath...

Very pretty building with big outdoors. The rooms are small, but is good. The pool is small, there's a cafeteria besides it. The reception is gorgeous. What's the best of it? The "Parque de Bombas" is right across the street, "La Catedral" and all museums are really close by It's a go go! so come and stay!

The photo's of hotel are deceptive. The property is pretty run down. No hand towels, no wash cloths, just a bath towel. Kleenex dispensor empty when we got there and when we left. A/C works but is terribly loud. Front wall of room was all windows with a curtain. It felt wierd. It is right off of the town center...

The king room had a great view of the park but unfortunately smelled like old cigars and the park weed blowers started at 4:30am. The are better options! Also be aware the restaurant is closed on Sundays🤐

nice people, menu was a bit overpriced and a little too exotic for my taste. location is superb to hang out downtown, rooms need a bit of updating but over all it was a nice stay for the price. parking is tight, very tight but there's people there to help you park.

Extremely nice reception, in fact, all staff exceeded friendly, courteous and helpful expectations. Restaurant in day was small but sufficient. Dinner restaurant was open only Friday and Saturday night, closing at 11pm. Rooms were very dated, 1950's dated. Carpets stained and torn, towels & beds as well. Smelled every day of its 100 years being opened. Elevator was a treat!...

I stayed here for the weekend, overall the hotel is very good, and mainteinance has been good for such an old building. Perfectly located in the center of the city, is a good point to start a trip to the rest of the south of the island. Just might recall 3 small details that can be improved, AC units are...

The place was good, simple with basic accommodations. Very original in almost every sense including the elevator and the flooring. It has great views of the city and the nature from the hall in front of the rooms. Great price and service overall!!
