If it was not for the staff at this hotel my one day freezing cold stay would be ranked even worse than what I gave it. The rooms are small and not insulated at all. I was freezing all night long in my room. I think they should either shut this hotel down and renovate it from top to bottom or close it down and build a brand new hotel altogether.
Our flight was supposed to arrive around midnight so we booked a hotel room here so that we wouldn't have to deal with a taxi at that time of night. Our flight was canceled and the next flight was delayed so we ended up arriving at the hotel at 8am the next morning. We couldn't go to the cruise port until 1pm so decided to still try to check in to use the room to sleep a few hours. They checked us in without any issue and even gave us a late checkout of 1pm without asking, and then pointed us to the free breakfast. We ate and then went to nap. The room was small but everything was clean and quiet. There aren't many hotels that will let you check in at any time of day so I highly recommend staying here if you have a late flight that could be delayed.
The room was simple and clean, but by itself not nearly worth the price. We tried it out for a night because the location at the airport is extremely convenient for a morning flight. The ridiculous problem was when we borrowed ping pong paddles from the front desk so the kids could play in the game room. Virtually all of the paddles, balls, pool cues, etcetera were broken in some way. The hotel required a deposit to borrow the paddles but we didn't realize the thing was broken until we went upstairs and started the game. When we returned the paddle at checkout and explained what happened these people charged us $100 to replace the paddle. I called the manager several days later when I realized what had happened and offered to just buy a new paddle. Nope! $100. Enjoy the money guys, next time we'll just stay in Condado.…
Beds were comfortable and it's perfect for one or two nights. I arrived late and needed a place near the airport. They have free breakfast and it's decent. The coffee was good. It's hidden inside the airport and you park in the daily parking. I recommend getting the rental when you leave the hotel not when you arrive otherwise you will have to pay for parking over 23 dollars.
We stayed here on our way to the BVI and coming back. On our way we had about 8 hours between flights and it was convenient to get in late at night and just a short walk away was the hotel. It is a little odd being in an old unused terminal, but the people that work there are very nice and our room was fine. It seemed like it had been updated recently. We had the included breakfast the next morning and it was your typical included breakfast but also had made to order omelettes which was nice. On our way back from the BVI we stayed there as we had a 5am flight. Super convenient to walk to airport when the flight is so early. Would I stay here as a vacation destination, No. But would I stay here again as a super convenient, clean, acceptable accommodation right at the airport, Yes.…
Not worth $225 for night. Hotel is located right inside the airport. The only plus side is its location. Rooms are tiny and very basic. Bathroom was the worst. It was very old and small. Every thing inside bathroom was worn out. See the pictures to believe it. You are better off staying in city than at this place.
So - the airlines changed our flights and we were stuck for a night in San Juan. It was actually a blessing because we got some time to visit Old San Juan, but it made the logistics of where to stay and still get on a 5:45 a.m. flight the next day daunting. Luckily, we ran across the San Juan Airport Hotel. It is in Terminal 5 of the airport and minutes away from check-in and security. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly.
Management refused to provide a refund to either my credit card or to the online booking service after I had to pay twice for my room. The online reservation had the wrong date. The front desk gave me a number to request the reservation be switched, but at 1 or 2 AM the online booking agent couldn't reach a hotel manager to approve the credit to switch dates. When I tried to resolve the issue later management refused. The booking was wrong to begin with, it wasn't like I changed my plans. No flexibility or customer service.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! BEDBUGS!!!! When I called, out of courtesy, to report the infestation and gave them the room number, they were impolite and dismissive. Suffice it to say that we will be completely avoiding San Juan going forward as a link for travels anywhere.
My flights were bumped so the airline put me in the hotel complimentary. The room was very updated! The wifi was good, but not perfect. I did get disconnected several times while working. Bring a sound machine because you are at the airport and flights land/depart. The restaurant/bar on the second floor is awesome! Great food! Nice hot tubs and patio. Laundry was free when I stayed. I really can't complain because this hotel was way better than the familiar big name brand one we stayed at a few nights before! Vax card was required at check in and to enter the restaurant/bar.
