Our stay for 2/8-2/10 was damn great!!
We arrived in SanJuan to attend a concert nearby.
Upon our arrival the hotel was in the middle of a small renovation.
The gentleman man at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable.
This was my first time using a key app and it was great! Some previous reviews were put off by it… not me.
It was great to be keyless and the app… easy to use. Our room was on the 1st floor. It was a good size, good bathroom and CLEAN. The bed and pillows comfortable. Plenty of space for 2 suitcases and roller bags. The bath room well stocked with towels and toiletries. The housekeeping service provided by Yancey was a 10!!
The hotel room could benefit from a coat of paint.
There is a lovely courtyard, terraces, and a small pool. They serve coffee in the morning but we chose to go out. The hotel is walking distance to great restaurants, bars and the beach. The San Juan area is not cheap. There are many hotels in the area charging double or triple the amount we paid at the Coral Princess.
We will definitely return to this hotel.. the location is great, it’s clean and well priced. I highly recommend the Coral Princess Hotel.

We spent 3 nights in this hotel. The area is nice, walking distance to good restaurants, the beach is a couple of blocks away. Busy, lots of tourists. We felt safe, even late at night. The price was reasonable for the area because is close to big hotels. It is a place to spend the night, rest, take a shower and then go out all day. 15 minutes driving distance to Old San Juan, 15 minutes walking distance to La Placita de Santurce. Walgreens and CVS are around the corner. The only disadvantage was the parking, there were only 4 spots, first come, first serve. We found overnight parking at El Condado Parking on Ashford Ave. which is actually the street behind the hotel. It was $19 for 24 hours which means you can come in and out of the parking lot, they will save a spot for you or valet park it for you. Breakfast at Pannes was great, dinner at Orozco Restaurant was wonderful, both on Ashford Ave. Saturday night we went to La Placita de Santurce, restaurants and lots of people partying until late, live music, people dancing in the streets. It was fun! We walked there, some streets seemed a little scary but then other people were walking towards that place too. We decided to walk because we realized parking is a little crazy everywhere. You can always take an Uber, it is 7 minutes driving distance. The people at the hotel desk were helpful and courteous. The size of the room was fair, WiFi in room, AC worked great, they provide toiletries, bring your own beach towels. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was small but clean, located just about three minutes walking distance from a beautiful beach and plenty of restaurants/nightlife/pharmacies. Our room was made up every day with fresh towels. We were on the ground floor right next to the pool which was nice to open the windows to in the morning. THE AC WAS COLDDDDD but we kept the ceiling fan on all the time which worked just as well. Nespresso machine was a great amenity in the room for early morning coffees before going off on adventures. If you're looking to spend most of your time at the beach, Coral Princess is a great place for a few days of a budget-friendly vacation.

This small hotel has a lot of charm and has a great location close to many restaurants, bars, shops and just 2 or so blocks to the beach. The bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed the large jetted tub in the bathroom, and since we requested a quiet room we slept wonderfully. We also loved the small pool, multiple courtyards and appreciated the strong coffee available for breakfast. The only improvement we can suggest is for the hotel to add room darkening curtains as there was one large very unattractive blind covering the window, which broke on our last day. I definitely recommend requesting a room away from the street which can get very loud on a weekend night.

I chose this hotel for the price and the good reviews on trip advisor. We stayed 3 nights, prior to a cruise, January 12-15 2023. Overall, this hotel is a good value. We enjoyed the location with restaurants and the beach just a block away. Another gem is the small pool, we enjoyed it daily and had it all to ourselves. They also provided a daily breakfast bag with fruit, granola, a muffin and juice. We really appreciated the daily maid service which you do not get in big hotels these days. The room was clean, not huge, but functional. We stayed in room 14 on the front of the building. There are a few downsides. The biggest problem is he shower. The water fluctuated between extremely hot and lukewarm, it makes the shower not enjoyable, this needs to be fixed. The second problem is the noise, you hear everything at all hours at least in room 14. If you aren’t from the city and don’t like noise, don’t stay in room 14. Finally, the tile in room 14 needs a good grout cleaning, while the maids cleaned it, it always looked dirty.

All in all, if the shower issues were fixed I would stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay at the Coral Princess. Very quaint "boutique style" establishment, with all the amenities you would need for a stay in San Juan. The rooms were clean and decorated accordingly. WiFi, tiled showers, new bathroom fixtures, and great air conditioning were greatly appreciated. We had the second floor pool view, complete with outside sitting area. The rooms were recently fitted with electronic door locks (no keys or cards to mess with) which were controlled by an app that you download to your phone.....convenient! The owner and desk associates were exceptionally nice and extremely helpful. Good area for restaurants, and beach area. We will definitely stay again when we are in town. Thanks for a great stay.

Overall the Hotel was ok. We were told that we could park in front of the Hotel. There are only four parking spaces. We had to park two blocks away, pay to park overnight, drag our luggage for those two blocks back to the Hotel. The elevator was not working in the Hotel so we than had to drag our luggage up the stairs.
The staff were all friendly and tried their best to speak English. We tried our best to speak Spanish.
We did enjoy that the kitchen was open 24 hours. So if we were thirsty or needed a snack we could grab something.
The door to our room was awful, you needed a battering ram to open and close it. Not a very good first impression. The glass door on the shower did not go far enough so every time we took a shower there was water all over the floor of the bathroom. The tv volume did not work but they did come and and replace the modem that seemed to fix the volume issue. The room was clean and had everything that we needed.
We enjoyed sitting outside on the upstairs patio. We did not use the pool. The Hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, beach and shopping.

Coral princess is a lil hidden gem. If your looling for something very fancy, this is not the place. Our rooms were nice and cleaned daily, the front desk reps were very very friendly and whatever we asked they provided right away. The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants, and walking distances to gift shops, and the beach was less than a block. We had a late flight and the front desk person allowed us to store our luggage in her office until.

I would stay again. We did not use any of their amenities on property cannot tell you anything about the pool, etc.

Fantastic experience! Excellent value, the price is very reasonable for the area. Pretty decor, appreciated that it has character, not a generic chain. Clean. Good Wi-fi in room. Comfortable bed. AC worked great. High quality toiletries. Front desk is staffed 24 hours/day.

Location: Excellent, a few minutes walk from Condado beach and restaurants, CVS and Walgreens are a couple minutes away.
Beach is nice! In San Juan, the beaches do not have shower or faucet to wash off sand. Also, the hotel does not provide beach towels. You can rent a chair ($5) and an umbrella ($5) on the beach, but no option to rent towels.

I had no concerns about safety, walked all over the area. Note that in San Juan there are vacant buildings (several on this block) side by side with lovely homes, posh hotels, and upscale restaurants. It's a mishmash, that's just the way it is. Also be aware, the term "boutique" and "boutique style" is used often in San Juan, and does not connotate luxury in the way Americans think of the term.

Room 14: large rectangle room with window on each end (street and interior courtyard), 2nd floor. Nice space, large closet, pretty bathroom with beautiful tile. A large table and chair.
The only con was the noise; this room is right by the elevator and you can hear it, but the main issue is the street noise. These loud souped up hot rod cars drive around the area, late at night, and with the window onto the street you hear it. Why San Juan allows this is beyond me.

Would I stay here again? YES!

This is a fine hotel BUT it is not a boutique hotel. A lot of reviewers need to google "boutique" hotel. This is like a clean hostel with private rooms in Europe. I only say this because I made my mother change our hotel reservations from the Hilton to Coral Princess based on the reviews that this would be cute and clean. My mother is a boutique hotel lady; she is not a hostel lady. It made for an interesting weekend.

Now for specifics:
The location is great, and the price is low for the area. The front desk workers are fantastic and always on site. We never had a problem getting a taxi because they would call one for us at any time. The rooms are super clean - we never saw any bugs. And most importantly, it was great to support a local PR hotel and not a big chain.
The downside is mostly that this hotel is rundown. A lot of the floor and bathroom tiles were chipped and rusted. The mattresses were not good. The walls and doors looked like someone was practicing karate kicks on them. The air conditioner sounded like a jet engine, but hey, it worked, which I realize can be a luxury! There aren't enough hair dryers for all the rooms, so if you are there on a busy weekend, you might not have one. The walls and doors are a bit thin, so if people are being noisy in the tile hallway, you will definitely hear it. And the power was out one entire morning, but I feel like this was due to a nearby lightning strike and was not the hotel's fault.

In summary, this is an OK hotel if you know what you are getting into. I think the pictures and some of the reviews make it sound fancier than it is. It is not fancy. But it is clean and in a great location, and you are supporting local business.

Hi Renee, the hotel is great! And the beach if 5 minutes walking distance. They provide lounge chairs with a small rental fee. Also, make sure you take with you loose change so you can take the bus to old San Juan. It's only .75 cents. Taxi cab cost you up to $15! And the bus stop is right in front la concha hotel. I think bus 21 & 59 stop here, but double check with the concierge at hotel. Bus ride is about 15 mins to old San Juan. I ran in the morning to old San Juan and it took me 45 mins. I'm going back to PR for Memorial Day weekend and I'm staying again on this hotel. Have fun!!!
