Private rooms are much nicer than dorm rooms (stayed at both), price almost the same so recommend booking a private room. Shared bathrooms, ok condition. Bring your sleeping mask, no curtains on windows at least in those rooms we stayed in. Needs a bit of updating.

I've been to a lot of hostels. Posada San Francisco is accessible to Old San Juan, social, clean, and has some of the best dorm beds I have ever seen. Solid wood and they don't move no matter who's climbing up and down the ladder. The balconies have an awesome view, and the vibe is super friendly and great for...

The hostel is on the 5th and 6th floor of an old building. We stayed there for two nights and it's very safe (you need a key-card to enter). We stayed in a 3-bed room which was clean and comfortable with two closets and a mini-fridge. The bathrooms are common and were clean. They have a kitchenette for your use....

Posada San Francisco is located on a great public square called Plaza Colon on the edge of Old San Juan. The hostel occupies a few top floors of a gorgeous historic building. The lower floors of the building are law offices. The elevator is super old but it did work when I stayed in March 2017. My favorite parts about...

We stayed two nights. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, friendly staff, convenient location with nice views from common areas and balconies. Old San Juan is very expensive and this place really helps you save a few bucks. The elevator is not always operating but we love the 6 flights of stairs so ok!

Perfect location, directly in San Juan Old Town. The rooms are nice and clean, you have several bathrooms, a big kitchen and good common areas. Especially the view from the balcony is amazing. The bathrooms were not always totally clean and she showers were mostly cold, but it was still ok! The place is save, because you need a key...

I liked Posada! It was SO centrally located and there are tons of restaurants close by. You can even see one of the forts right off the balcony! It's literally at the end of the street. I was a first time solo female traveler and I didn't feel uncomfortable in the area (police Kinda hang out around because the governor...

People are really nice and handle the check in very professionally. The rooms are clean and the common areas are used for hanging out and meeting new people. The is a lot of bathrooms and the kitchen is well equipped. Definitely worth a stay!

Excellent location in the old town, close to the main sites and nightlife. Unfortunately run as a "profit at the detriment of anything else" philosophy. Biggest letdown was the staff, totally disinterested in providing a service and one guy in particular had only one thing on his mind (the girls who were staying there). Breakfast, that was advertised when booking,...

The room was pretty barren the beds not the most comfortable but it served its purpose which was a cheap place to stay while in Puerto Rico. The location is perfect and literally in the middle of Old San Juan walking distance to every major attraction and the cruise port. Easy to get a cab from here too to head...
