We weren't expecting anything fancy but nonetheless were somewhat disappointed when our room - the most expensive out of the three places we stayed on our trip - turned out to be TINY, overrun with excess furniture, essentially in the basement and have an itty bitty teenie weenie bathroom. The room wasn't awful or dirty; however, our one window looked...

Last December American Airlines had a $250 Austin/San Juan round trip special that we couldn't pass up and pushed the "Buy" button! I mentioned the cheap airfare and our friends (other retirees) said "we're in". With a little research we decided to circumnavigate the island staying at paradors and sample the fine Porto Rican food and the rums. What a...

Stayed for 3 days in SJ. Wanted to be close to Old San Juan, a beach and also not pay too much. This was a great value. less than $100/night for a king sized bed about 2 blocks from the beautiful Ocean Park beach. And 2 blocks to the bus to Old San Juan. The room was SIMPLE, this is...

I found At Wind Chimes Inn in the "Que Pasa?" magazine--a publication about touring Puerto Rico, which is very helpful! I checked it out online and loved their website, checked reviews on here and was even more excited. I called to book a room and was told that there was only an economy room left or a large king-size room...

My Boyfriend and I stayed here for a 4 night long weekend in November and it was everything we could have asked for. The staff was incredibly friend and helpful. The hotel food was a bit pricey but absolutely delicious-thanks to the bar tender Danny. The location was great, close to bus routes, old San Juan and the beach. Our...

We (a group of 17 of us including my husband and two children) stayed At Wind Chimes Inn for my sister's wedding for 5 nights. It was the perfect location.... close to the beach, close to restaurants, and a close walk from "larger" hotels/casino. We enjoyed the "authentic" feel of the hotel. We all enjoyed the pool (smaller, but large...

I had reserved a block of rooms for my wedding guests that were traveling to Puerto Rico. The manager Evelyn made sure that everything with my guests went perfect. During the stay, the hotel staff was very helpful directing the guests to different places and arranging transportation. The hotel has an on site bar with food but it is also...

Granted, I was a little skeptical when I read all of the online reviews re this hotel. How could a hotel (inn) be this accomodating and pet friendly at the same time? Well, it definately met my expectations and even more. Although the room (room 127 again) was a little small and a little retro (think 1960's pink tiled bathrooms),...

My friend and I just returned from Puerto Rico and our stay at At Wind Chimes was the best!!! The hotel is so quaint and unique, I would definitely go back again and bring my husband. I had only been to Puerto Rico one other time leaving for a cruise and really did not get a good sense of the...

Spent two nights at this hotel on a trip to Puerto Rico with my girlfriend. Had an excellent time; the staff was extremely helpful with advice about the area. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to see Puerto Rico and wants something a little more authentic than a large corporate hotel.
