My wife and I had a great time and the staff is really nice at breakfast, at the beach, the desk and gym, a very positive atmosphere. In the casino I had a great time playing blackjack with Luis and later on at roulette with Doris. There’s lots to do in the area around the hotel too. Highly recommended!
We had such an amazing family vacation in PR and our stay at the San Juan Marriott Resort made it even better. I was so pleased with the attentive and friendly staff. Check in was so easy and there was no wait, since our rooms weren't ready yet, we checked our bags and used the amenities while we waited. Which was great, we were able to start vacation right away! Our 2 rooms were not ready by 4pm and they gave us a $100 credit for our stay and 5000 Marriott points for the inconvenience. The Bonvoy Club was a nice benefit. We enjoyed coffee, water, and wine each day! We stayed in the newer renovated Cabana section, our kids' room was a double bed room and was a great size for them. The best, was our room, a Cabana Lanai room on the first level that led out to the pool. We loved having the easy access to our room and bathroom. It was a great "home base" so we did't have to lug bags to the pool or beach. The location in Condado Beach was great, walking distance to restaurants, shops and the market. We bought water and alcohol to have in our rooms and saved us some money. The staff was amazing, so friendly and accommodating. Francisco Rosario was such a great guy! So much fun to play bingo with him and he was friendly and shared great suggestions for things to do nearby. He is very attentive to the guests and makes you feel appreciated and went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Can't forget the great pool bar bartenders. Janet was awesome and always put a nice touch on our drinks! You got the feeling they were happy to have us there! The resort had everything for a family with young adult children! We took advantage of all the Resort had to offer, restaurants, casino, pool, beach, activities, gym, and location. We will be back here!…
Beach was great thanks to Joniel, Julio and Kenneth setting us up each day. Great attitude every day and very hard workers aiming to please. Fun time singing Happy Birthday to my dear Cousin! Can’t wait to come back.
Stayed 5 nights mid January. Hotel is our go to and this was 3rd stay and will most assuredly be back. Everyone is so friendly and you’re always greeted with a smile from entering the front door. We needed a late check out and it was quickly confirmed. Pool area is just great and Fernando doing the noon time bingo at the swim up bar was a real treat. Location is perfect with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Can’t wait to return.
We loved everything about this hotel! The location is so convenient from the airport yet felt far away from it. The beach is beautiful and kept immaculate by the amazing beach staff. They are always setting up chairs and umbrellas with the best attitudes and smiles and that made us feel very welcome. The rooms are modern and clean and very comfortable. We had the best time at the pool swim up bar each day with Francisco R and his fun bingo games! He is such a delightful and warm person and added tremendously to our stay! We look forward to seeing him when we visit PR again! The entire staff treated us so well and we thank each and every one we met at the casino, the lobby bar, the coffee bar as well as the front desk and the guest services attendants who were so professional and always went out of their way to help us! They really are the face of the hotel and we appreciated them so much!…
Family vacation to PR- we had an awesome time at the Marriott stellaris hotel and casino. Especially enjoyed bingo with Francisco Rosario! He was so nice an attentive to all playing! Will definitely return!
This was our second visit to the Marriott Stellaris in San Juan and we enjoyed this trip much more than our first trip and wanted to provide this updated review for Titanium members. Since our last visit pre pandemic, the hotel has taken some great steps to recognize elite members. The staff was very nice throughout the hotel property from check in, the cafe, the pool staff, and throughout the property. We checked in at the elite desk and our room was ready right away. We were upgraded to a king suite in the penthouse floor using our suite night awards. The suite itself was dated and missing some balcony furniture but it was nice to have the extra space and the balcony was very large. Even though our suite was listed as a city view we could see both the city and the ocean from our balcony. Other floors in the property seem more recently renovated but the Penthouse floor seems to be the last to be updated. In the past the hotel wouldn’t upgrade us with the suite night awards so we were pleasantly surprised to see them approved this time. We were informed that titanium members received complimentary breakfast either as a buffet at the restaurant or a $50 credit for 2 to go to the cafe in the lobby. We tried the buffet the first day and then opted to use the $50 credit for the cafe as we preferred ordering ala carte. Additionally it was hard to eat outside for the buffet because of the number of birds that would try to steal food at the tables. The credit in the cafe was generous and you could use it for anything and we were able to get breakfast sandwiches, pastries and coffee every day. We also received a food/drink credit as part of our room rate we could use at any of the bars or restaurants throughout the day. The elite check in also keeps some snacks and beverages available at various times during the day. The pool bingo was fun and the host was very nice! We even won a few daiquiris during our stay. The main cons during our stay were: The amount of seaweed on the beach and the fact that when it was picked up/cleaned it was bagged in giant plastic garbage bags. The elevators had challenges and sometimes stopped on every floor even if no one was there or waiting. They were working on this throughout our trip so not sure if this was resolved. This made it slow to get an elevator and to get down from a high level floor. Going up was a lot easier. The deeper pool is the end point for the kids slide and the shallow pool is also used by smaller children so there isn’t a great space to relax if you’re an adult with no children. Overall we were happy with the stay and glad to see they improved their titanium recognition.…
We had a great week at this hotel. Our room, 1116, overlooked the beach. It had a nice balcony. The room and bathroom were just renovated and were an ok size. The overall staff, housekeeping, front desk, bellman, bar, restaurants were all very good and friendly. The casino is small but very nice. $2.00 roulette tables. Parking was $10 per day. They do offer valet parking. There is an Enterprise car rental on site. Reserve your car will advance and prepay to guarantee that you get a car. The hotel creates a lot of shade for the two pools and the beach. Scope out your area to set up for the day. We sat on the beach, and also by the pool, and we were OK with the shade. We were here for new years and the pool chairs were all claimed by 7 AM. The early bird gets the worm or chair… The lobby bar is big. It had plenty of TVs for the football games. This bar has a great staff. You can also order sushi at the bar. The pool bars are very good and great staff. These TVs do not have DISH, so no live football, NFL or College games. The breakfast buffet is good and has good and friendly servers. Full breakfast, omelets, breads, danish, etc. but boring. It is the best breakfast option in the area. We also had a very good lunch at this pool level restaurant. There are some other dinner options within walking distance. See my other TripAdvisor reviews. Enjoy!!! Tip; be sure to have your luggage scanned by the USDA before you check you bags. You can’t fly home without that yellow sticker on your suitcases.…
Our family had the best time at this Marriott! We have two young kids, and we all loved staying here. The hotel was great, but the best part was the staff. More below. Room: we got a large room and asked for a blow up mattress for one child. We had a great view of the ocean and a small balcony with two regular chairs and a table. We loved opening the door in the morning and listening to the waves! We even saw a rainbow one day. The room was really clean. The bathroom was a little small, but not a problem. Breakfast: We got two breakfasts included with our Marriott status. Kids 6 and under don't have to pay for breakfast. The breakfast was fantastic. It's a huge buffet with everything you could want, including healthy options and a huge table of fruit. Our kids LOVED the kid station with m&ms that they put on their waffles. :) I loved the made to order omelets. Pool: the pool area is fantastic! There are two sections to the pool. One is shallow, so little kids can stand up. There's a walk in entry for babies and steps for everyone else. A small fountain in the middle is fun for the kids. The 2nd pool section is deeper and has a slide! So much fun for kids and adults. There is even a swim-up bar (YES) where you can get delicious drinks and play bingo. :) Plus, there's a great hut tub next to the pool. Lots of chairs for people to lounge on around both pools with shade if you want. The pools were so warm. Beach: The beach chairs, umbrellas, and tables were great! Hammocks too. And the staff comes around to take drink and food orders. The staff was so helpful and fast. One guy saw our kids playing and asked if they'd like some beach toys for making castles. He then RAN to get them for our kids, who loved making castles (leaving time for mom to read, hallelujah). The waves were intense when we were there, so we didn't swim in the ocean but we loved walking on the long stretch of beach and standing in the water's edge. The water was warm! Food: We loved the breakfast. Lunch and dinner options were good, mostly American dishes and fairly expensive. But we did get grilled cheese and burgers for the kids. There's a pizza and gelato place connected to the hotel that had great pizza, which we only found the last night. The server was so kind, he bought our kids gelato! ***THE STAFF*** We all were amazed at how kind and hardworking every single person was at this hotel. They have so many people working, and so you could always get help with anything. We loved chatting with Paula at breakfast every morning. She was like our Puerto Rico tour guide in addition to being a fantastic server. The tour desk staff had good advice and loved talking with our kids about the local frogs. :) Every single person was helpful and kind and trying to make our stay wonderful. Other: Parking at the hotel was really easy. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby you can walk to. We liked Serafina for a kid-friendly Italian dinner. We tried some nearby Puerto Rican restaurants as well. There's a great spa as well, with a gym and saunas in the super clean changing rooms. Overall, we loved staying here and we didn't want to leave. It's a beautiful beach and hotel. Highly recommend it.…
It i always a pleasure to stay at the San Juan Marriott & Stellaris Casino! The location, rooms, offerings and facilities are my all time favorite! I will certainly going to be back soon during this new year!
