I had the pleasure of visiting Great Huts in September of 2016. Located right on the coast, you can walk right down to Bostian beach (one of the best beaches in all of Jamaica) and spend the day. You can take a bus to reach falls, I highly recommend taking time to visit those wonderful falls. Blue lagoon and Frenchmans... More

INNKEEPER’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 4 May 2016

This rustic eco-resort is absolutely wonderful! We've stayed here several times in the past, but it has been a few years, so we were excited to stay here again...this time for five nights. Great Huts is nestled on the cliffs above the sea, in lush foliage, with African style huts, tents, and tree houses all throughout the property. Each hut/tree... More

This place was something else - what I would call organised, ordered nature - I stumbled across it, as I was looking for somewhere to stay whilst visiting attractions in Portland. We were on a 2-week vacation in Ocho Rios and after a week went to stay at Great Huts. The best decision hands down - so much so, if... More

If you're a nature enthusiast, this is the place to be.. Very full of life and down to earth with breath taking views of the coast and very accessible to the surrounding beach. Dr. Paul (owner) is very personable with each of the guess and the wait staff greatly accommodates each guess..

This was one of the most amazing experiences that I've had in a long time. I'm a Canadian living in Kingston, JA and I decided to take my two little boys (ages 6 & 2) to this little gem for a weekend getaway. My only regret is that we didn't come sooner! Every detail of this place is amazingly thought... More

Great Huts is a wonderful place to stay, set high above beautiful Boston Bay and within easy reach by route taxi of all Port Antonio attractions. The design of Great Huts is inspired by the West African heritage of the vast majority of Jamaicans. The "rooms" are scattered about in a lovely forest setting - we stayed in the Bamboo... More

AMAZING!!!! Experience.....I've never been a nature themed resort before it's always been the all inclusive luxury type setting but after my experience at great huts I'd definitely go back...the staff is attentive and nice and the owner is just an over all amazing person very receptive and ensured our stay was a good one from start to finish. The location of Great Huts is nice, on the top of the rocks (cliffs), with stunning views over the ocean and Boston bay. The staff was very friendly and the manager gave us a hut upgrade when we asked about the state of the pool (a bit dirty). We also met the owner, dr. Paul, who was very friendly. He... More

GreatHuts, Owner at Great Huts, responded to this review

Thanking our guests for taking the time to review Great Huts, I am deeply sorry that they feel that our resort is overpriced. I spent time conversing with these lovely and bright professionals and can only blame myself for not perceiving and responding helpfully to resolve their dissatisfaction. As the owner and designer of Great Huts, I have aspired to... More
