The beachside section also contains a small pool. Other hotel facilities include free Wi-Fi, gift shop, safety boxes at reception, massage treatments, and tour desk. The resort's beach frontage on Seven Mile Beach provides access to shallow, sandy-bottom water that remains calm in nearly all weather conditions. Free roundtrip shuttles transport guests to partner resort, Samsara Resort, on Negril's seaside cliffs.

Legends beach resort is a great option for budget minded travellers who want a clean and comfortable basic place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. From reception to housekeeping, and grounds keeper to security guards restaurant staff all were warm and welcoming. I will definitely be returning to this resort in the near future. Thanks Legends staff for helping me get the peace and solitude I needed to recharge.

The beach at Legends is beautiful, clear, warm and calm. The staff is a true asset as all are friendly and work hard to ensure your needs are met or exceeded. We were upgraded to an Oceanview room and it was very comfortable and when we put AC on it worked well. The view of the beach and hearing the light surf crash to lull us to sleep was amazing. There were two Beach fire and Regge nights during our 10 night stay and they were nice to attend. The bar closes at 10 but this is never an issue for us as we relax hard and are ready to sit on the balcony by then with a drink. There are no beach towels so take your own and there are not many beach umbrellas as we read so we took a couple fold up beach umbrellas we got at Canadian Tire for 30 bucks each and they were most awesome. The lounge chairs have thick cushions on them and that was a nice touch. There is security on the beach (Michael) and he is most awesome if he sees you are not interested in vendors he has them move on and they know how far back he makes them stay. We did all inclusive as we dont wish to run around trying to figure out meals. The meals were tasty but beware choice is small no marble resort style buffets here just 4 or 5 choices of foods and cake for dessert. For breakfast there is always porridge and cheerios and then hot selections, toast made to order omelettes and fruit. we always had good meals but not fancy meals. The weather was perfect, the room was basic but comfortable and clean and towels replaced as needed not every day. There was a fridge in our room and it was handy for a couple beer and water. We so enjoyed ourselves we are in the process of booking a trip for our children and their spouses for next year! Remember not a marble palace but not the price of the big shiny resorts but comfortable and great staff and great beach your attitude/expectations can make or break your stay, stay chill and enjoy!

First what I loved about this hotel was the location. I felt we were right in the middle of everything and so walking to a fun bar or a live music band playing was a breeze! Caesar the security at the gate was fun! He remembers everyone's faces and was great at assisting us with questions and taxis. The beach was perfect lots of sun and cool water, not too many hagglers. They could use a bit more umbrellas for loungers. Also the price was appropriate for what we expected. Nothing major just a warm safe space to lay our heads.
The cons- No Microwave in our room so eating takeout was not really an option. I did not know that they didn't provide beach towels or I would've packed some. We had to use our room towels and had to ask daily for a new wash cloth and towel. I also felt their menu was pricey! I found a much cheaper breakfast option on our 2nd to last day right down the way by Dolce Vita ice cream. A full breakfast for 700 can't beat that! The dinner menu was also pricey so we ate off the property I cannot really say if the food was good but I'm sure it is. Many of the staff were just not really friendly or engaging. There was this nice young girl who worked at the bar she was sweet. A few of the ladies would just have us waiting while we watched them serving other people.
The rooms are dated but does look like the pictures you see just not as squeaky clean. We had a TV worked fine, the hot water comes on just give it minute or two. And the wifi is actually strong as hell!
All and all we enjoyed our stay. I may be back with them again or I may check out another local hotel.

I always stay at Legends Beach Resort, iv actually stayed here twice this year, and planning another trip for oct so that should sum up my experience.
Legends is next to everything Jungle a night club and bourbon beach which is actually a restaurant and bar, on Sundays they have a band night that starts at 930-12 or so then they will turn the music up until about 12.
this will also be a great hotel if your going to dreams weekend as it on this same road they usually have the main party walking distance.
A Taxi takes you in to town in 6 mins and it cost 200jmd. the hotel is nice and comfortable, iv only stayed at the garden side and iv been fine, there is a guard that will cross you over to get to the beach side wish is helpful.
book here you wouldn't be disappointed.

Just returned from two weeks at Legends I was initially unsure what we were going to find after the mixed reviews on here, well we had a wonderful time at this BUDGET complex, we got what we paid for, the ladies behind the reception desk were not the friendliest but I saw them once signing in and once signing out so no big deal the rest of the staff were friendly and always said hello. the rooms were dated yes but the cleaning ladies came in every day, it is perfectly situated on the beautiful beach never struggled to get a sun lounger and the lads and lasses selling their wares accepted when we didn't want to buy from them. they are poor you cant blame them. Never struggled to cross what yes is a very busy road but the gentleman at the gate was always there to help and the drivers often stop to allow you to cross and there is also a crossing which is a spit away. The grounds are spotless always kept free from leaves etc. Not sure what the all inclusive deal was like but the only time I heard a complaint was about the breakfast being repetitive, and he seemed like one of life's moaners so I ignored him anyway. All in all a fabulous 2 weeks and would deffo return. If you want five star I would book Sandals and then you wont have anything to complain about. A coupe of our party joined us for a week after a week visiting the family home, and a week in all inclusive in Montego Bay which they do every year their favorite was the week in Legends. We got what we paid for we did the rest!

We purchased this trip through Vacation Express which was our first mistake. The second was trusting the feedback from the resort regarding their recovery from their most recent hurricane. This was our first time to Jamaica and probably our last. Pros: majority of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Carrie Ann, our server and Mike, the beach attendant were outstanding. The location on the beach was stunning. Loved every inch of the beach and warm water. The bed was quite comfortable. House keeping kept us stocked with drinks. Cons: hotel is in very sad, tired shape. We stayed beachside but you can’t see or hear the beach from your room. The bathroom does not have AC but only a vented window with a screen over it. The smell from a non AC bathroom plus the bugs including mosquitos which come through the screen were terrible. Did I mention cockroaches!!! We had to leave our suitcases outside when we arrived home and send clothes to laundromat to avoid the potential to brings bugs into our home. Furniture was old, beat up and worn out. The food was mostly sub-par but majority of the places on the island in Negril area did not have very good food. The drinks and mixers were never right. Alcohol was cheap and coming out of unmarked bottles. There are no top shelf labels at this resort. The beach was great but chairs have seen better days. Worse part was the constant bombardment of pan handlers on the beach. From the time you got in your chair until you left. No matter how many times you said no they keep coming back. We had to take turns getting in the water to ensure our belongings were secure. Finally, the non stop smell of pot was not my thing. People are working and smoking! We crossed over to the sister resort which was in better shape but same issue with food and drinks. I will write a review of it too

Hotel in a great location, close to many shops and boutiques on the street and directly on the beach. The bar brings people together for both a drink and a meal. Excellent food. Please note: there is a section on the beach side, and another on the other side of the street. We were there, I think it was quieter because far from the action of the seaside and nite life, near the swimming pool. A crossing guard is present for the pedestrian crossing, very safe! You will get bottled water by tipping your housekeeper. There is no fridge or hair dryer in the rooms. A deposit of $100 is required at check-in and returned at check-out. No wine offered, even with all inclusive, you have to buy the bottle, otherwise great choice of drinks, beer and spirits. Yes, there are sellers on the beach but you say no and they are not harassing, it's their livelihood! Otherwise the guard Michael is always on the lookout. Warm and friendly, it's in the heart of the action, if you want to experience Negril, this is the place!

*Guys chilling outside the hotel do NOT genuinely work for the hotel but will try tell you they do. Ask security or at the front desk to confirm anything. It can be a little daunting if you are a female but these guys are genially harmless they just trying to make some money… keep it polite and keep it moving and you wouldn’t have any problems… most of them are nice guys if you chat.
Security can see all entrances to the hotel and are very good at making you feel safe. They will genuinely help you with anything you need and any advice if they can places to go, avoid and points of interest. When crossing the main road they will help you cross safely. It’s the little things that make a big difference!
A huge thank you to Cesar for looking after my suit case when it arrived via taxi 5 days later randomly, as Heathrow lost it!
The staff here are all very friendly and helpful and will always try and help you if you ask them
The hotel it’s self was perfect in the sense of it is exactly what I wanted. I personally don’t like to stay in the room or by the pool all day, so finding somewhere to stay that is welcoming, very clean and in and a location of lots of opportunities is what is important to me! This hotel is also situated on the sea front that has beautiful views, white sands and the clear blue sea.
Within 5 minutes walk their are so many places to eat and drink, you will also find a few supermarket shops were you can get all your essentials.
The rooms are all clean and the maids visited us everyday, changed the sheets and towels. The bed was big and comfortable and there was spare pillows in the wardrobe. The shower room I had no complaints, showed worked as it should. Our room had a big dressing table, wardrobes and a big smart tv with Netflix and Amazon prime apps available.
The hotel has two fair sized pools that look cleaned and I used a couple of times but as the hotel is on the most amazing beach front you don’t wanna waste any time by the pools!
The food and drink was excellent and the best priced we found! We did self catering as we get bored of inclusive sometimes and like to see what is around. We went several bars and food places and always went back to our hotel for drinks. The staff at the bar were really nice to talk to I found them to be very kind and helpful.
I would definitely go back to this hotel 100% you have everything you need it’s clean, friendly and safe. You can walk 5 minutes either way on the beach and you will find so many things to do and places to go!

Legends is the perfect mix of relaxation and fun. It offers a private, well-maintained beach with soft sand and turquoise water. The rooms are clean and cozy, surrounded by lush greenery that adds to the tropical vibe.
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure a great stay. The on-site restaurant serves delicious local and international dishes—I especially loved the Jerk chicken melt. Plus, the free shuttle to their sister property, Samsara, is a great bonus for exploring the cliffs and enjoying stunning sunset views.
Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with friends, Legends is an excellent choice for a memorable beach getaway in Negril. I’ll definitely be back!

The Legends Beach Resort is a quaint accommodation situated on Negril's Seven Mile Beach and provides a more authentic feel of Jamaica than some of the larger hotels in the area
It was a two minute walk from our room to having our toes in the sand and a dip in the emerald green sea of Jamaica
A 10 minute stroll along the beach or a red plate taxi will get you to a variety of bars hosting the local music talent playing much loved classic Reggae Songs
The Food Menu at the Resort had variety and offered many traditional Jamaican Meals which were made with a subtlety to accommodate all tourists.
With his love for all things culinary & well over a decade's worth of experience cooking aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships, Chef O'Neil Gordon and his Kitchen Staff provided the high standard of food that you'd expect from a talented, experienced Chef.
The Manager was present, helpful & ready to listen to the guest's requirements. She very kindly organised some great live music at the resort and we were grateful of that.
Whilst there's a variety of excursions leaving from the hotel, together with a shuttle bus each day to the sister hotel, many guests were happy just to stay on the beach at the resort
On our arrival we were greeted by the warm Cheshire Cat type smile of Cesar, who worked security for the grounds & also kindly showed us to our room.
George the Senior Groundsman greeted us & gave us a great insight into the local area together with advice on how to stay safe when venturing from the resort, particularly at night time
The maid kept the room to a very clean & tidy standard every day of our stay ensuring that we were provided with clean towels and toiletries without ever having to ask for anything
The inviting Restaurant Bar area was always kept clean and tables were set differently at each mealtimes.
The Bar & Restaurant staff all had a vibrancy to them providing a welcoming dinning experience. Icylyn, Jahmeala, Leonie to name a few were all helpful & friendly characters and we give a special thanks to Jennifer for mothering us and looking after us throughout our stay.
Our first time to Jamaica, we stayed here for one week but could've happily stayed much, much longer
Peace & One Love to all
Charlotte & Glyn

We selected the 'all inclusive' option thus transportation was included. If you do not have this, be careful. Transportation costs may be huge! Legends is 80 KM or 1.5 hours away from the airport. If you contact Legends they may be able to arrange the shuttle for a price, or at very least recommend a taxi driver offering a good price. Good Luck!

Nothing but a long stretch of beach. Most beautiful and clear water. U need to cross the street from the resort to go to the beach or dine, or if ur room is on the other side u don't need to cross over. You will feel like a celebrity lol cause everytime u gotta cross over the guard will stop traffic just for u to cross. U can find entertainment everywhere, every night. Just hop fr place to place they are all literally next door. U get bored go one place down and so forth until u run out of places. Don't recall a 24hr snack bar. I was there in May. U won't regret and super nice staff!
