Xtabi is a 24 Room Boutique Hotel, We are located on the West Cliffs of Negril, one + miles from the Negril Beach. XTABI offers a variety of different facilities such as economy and standard rooms, as well as one or two storey private cottages. Some of our accommodations are set in the lush tropical garden near the pool, others are on the impressive cliffside overlooking the Caribbean Sea. XTABI RESORT awaits you with a dramatic water front setting where spiral stairs are leading down through a cave to a sandy beach. Many grottos along the cliffs are to explore and the shallow reefs nearby ensure great snorkeling. We stayed in Room 6- wonderful and if I stay here again we will request this bungalow. Big octagonal room with a king bed (can be made into two beds) with a fridge and good A/C and huge bathroom with outdoor shower- very cute!
Directly above the cove to the left of the restaurant facing the ocean, yet was very quiet at night.
Site restaurant was very good service and food and the staff were amazing. Hi to bartender George! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming.
Our days were spent wandering (carefully) up and down the road to different restaurants for lunches and dinners. Best places we ate were Pushcart and the Rockhouse and also Xtabi and also Ivan's at Catha Falling Star and also right next door at Three Dives.
Overall we adored Xtabi and the swimming and snorkeling there was lots of fun. Be aware this place is a little run down but it's clean and comfortable and so long as you are not expecting luxury you should be very happy here.

This was my second visit to Xtabi. My trusted tour guide, Norris from Island Turf Tours, introduced me to this lovely cliffside resort the first time and I fell in love with the spot right away.
With breathtaking views of the ocean, cliffs and caves, the gracious and hospitable staff ensures your entire stay is comfortable and all your needs are met.
The beautiful bungalow I stayed in was extremely well kept and just perfect for a relaxing day by the cliffside. The pristine and well kept grounds are beautiful to get lost in and a photographer’s dream.
Make sure to chill on the deck of the restaurant while enjoying a delicious cocktail from their extensive menu of recipes alongside the sites and sounds of native culture, style and flare. I say this last time I left Jamaica was that my only regret was that I had to leave. Looking forward to returning soon. Thank you, Xtabi and Island Turf Tours.

Went down for the day after reading a recommendation on here from another traveler. Thanx for the tip!!! Great food & drinks staff easygoing and unrushed. Had a chill day hanging out snorkeling eating & going in caves. Saw lots enjoyed the spectacular views. One very spoiled cat lounged with us making us laugh

Xtabi cottage 5 is where we stayed. Positive: it had a private terrace that led down to a semi private swimming ladder which lets you swim off the cliff. Very nice. The room was shabby, had no shampoo (we were told we had to go buy our own) and was 25 feet away from an extremely noisy road. It is also on the other side of a fence where the bar/restaurant is, so all that noise figures into your stay. The restaurant was mediocre and had terrible drinks and service. This place is a has-been. Too bad. It is a superb location.

I used to frequent Xtabi quite often when I lived in Mandeville because the food and view were excellent. Well, the view is still awesome, but avoid the food, poorly prepared and overpriced. We ordered Lobster Benedict, which was my go-to breakfast dish at Xtabi for years. What we got this time was a few chinks of tasteless lobster on soggy wheat bread with no fruit and no ham on it. Terrible.

greetings, i as well had a benedict the other day, and was not pleased with it, that cook is a new person and has not got it right as yet... i am sorry it sounds like you were there on that persons shift. it been very difficult to find good help in the kitchen, so we try training them. i realize this does not help you now... just letting you know that we still have great Benedict, 99% of the time. ask for me if you ever want to try again.

This is where to go in Negril, jump off cliffs and eat reasonably priced food. The view is breathtaking, and the caves are amazing. I keep telling my girls that this is where we can turn into mermaids on a special full moon night...

I love Xtabi so much that I have stayed there over a dozen times, including renting the entire resort for a business reward ceremony. The prices are very reasonable, the view is unparalleled, the skin diving is superb, and the staff is amazing. I always feel like family and very well taken care of when I visit my favorite island getaway.
I love it so much that my next stay is for my 50th birthday with my family.
If you’ve never been to the island you should definitely stay here, and avoid the all inclusive and fake resorts. This is the real Jamaica.

The Xtabi Resort is a nice place in a beautiful location. It is far away from the beach and the city centre, so you need a car if you want to get around more. But it is right at the cliffs and you can do cliff diving or explore the caves. Our room was good and spacious, as was the bathroom. It was clean as well. From our place you couldn't see the cliffs or the ocean. We were on the other side of the road but we had easy access to the cliffs via the restaurant that was part of the resort. The staff was pretty unfriendly. You couldn't get a hello out of them (except for one gardener) and we had the feeling that they didn't really want us there. None of them ever smiled and they seemed annoyed when we had any questions.

I had an excellent stay, great value for the price and spectacular views. I had stayed in one of the seaside cottages #6 and was so glad that I booked a sea front cottage. My views from my patio were spectacular pretty much anytime of the day but sunsets were the best. There were three loungers on my patio plus a table and two chairs so plenty of space to hang out. My room had air conditioning a mini fridge also a great outdoor shower plus the bed was comfortable and seating in the room was also good. The hotel is a little bit older so it’s not shiny and new but you can tell that the furniture is really solid and well built. These items were meant to last and are well-made. I appreciate quality especially for the price. Lots of great places to swim/snorkel from if you’re comfortable with the ladders, there is also a few caves to explore with one that has a bit of a sandy Beach when the water is really calm. Restaurant is great. I pretty much had really good meals every time I ate there, love the eggs Benedict for breakfast plus their omelets are great. Don’t have anything bad to say about the food. Drinks are reasonably priced. They have a pool across the street in their garden side, which I checked out one day. Nice pool, very relaxing. Hope to be back very soon!

of all the islands, Jamaica is the best. I have been staying on the cliffs for 35 years and Xtabi was one I stayed in years ago. It's convenient for getting up and down the road, getting over to Ricks. Staff work hard, and the area is just great
