The hotel... is very dated. Shutter blinds( and mosquitoes will get in) and just about everything in the room screams the 60s. The staff is friendly... the food is ok but the menu is inconsistent be prepared for the "we don't have that" even though it's on the menu.. the pool is small but decent size. Everything and I mean everything closes early so get what you need to get before night fall or you're S.O.L

As a company, we invite friends and family to experience a week in Jamaica in Negril.
Each year we select a hotel to experience and Negril Palms was on our list.
The rooms were what you expected at the price.
The location is great if you want to get out and experience the local food, bars, and malls with are within
walking distance. Our only concerns were the beds and the daily cleaning, it took pretty much the entire day
before our rooms were clean. But other than that for the price, the people and the services were great.

I enjoyed my visit but there were a few things I did not like. Don't expect a nice warm shower everyday. Low water pressure in the shower but not sink.
Bed was comfortable. The staff was super friendly.
The driver for the hotel was nice but expensive. On the way back to the airport the driver picked up his wife who talked loud and incessantly for the hour half drive or was on her phone.
The food sucks but next store is Lilly's which has great food. Beach chair person is a great guy who will reserve your chairs everyday, a little tip helps.
Nice location but will stay somewhere else next year.

If you are looking for a relaxing get away and premier service, this is not the place to stay. This was the utmost worst experience I have ever had by far. First the property was disturbingly dirty, the curtains had blood stains on it, the lamp shades had visible stains and the walls had dirt stains and hand prints all over. The linens were dated, yellowed and had stains on them. The Bed only had a top sheet and no blanket was provided, we had to ask for them. The shower head had a mere drizzle and made it difficult to get a good shower after being on the beach.
While some of the maintenance staff was kind, the hotel management and front desk service was astonishingly inept of any kind of customer service. At one point I had called the front desk to ask about Rubbing alcohol and was told I could come and get it myself.....I was disturbed. The food was underwhelming and the restaurant had all kinds of weird extra service fees and what not. Myself and my guests were some of the only people on the site considering it was holiday and covid so you would think they would be happy to have business and be more accommodating but no, every question was met with a visibly irritated demeanor. We were only staying a few days so we decided we would push through. At one point I went to the dining area and was told to just yell into the kitchen what I wanted.... what kind of service is that?! When it was time to pay it said on the receipt there was a 10% charge but the they insisted there was an additional 10% on top of that. Which we had no problem with but told them it should be noted on the receipt. The women snapped that it's 20% and wrote it on the receipt in front of me. She was so rude and made us so uncomfortable that we started dining at other hotels along the beach following that incident. It was to a point where the non staff were more friendlier than the actual staff, At the other hotels along the beach we were treated more like guests there than our own hotel. I would not recommend anyone to stay here and likewise I will not be returning EVER.

I wanted to try a local hotel during my recent trip to Negril. I have stayed at most of the all inclusive on the 7 mile strip and just wanted a more relaxed simple local experience. However, from the moment I got on the property everything went downhill. The room I booked was a single king but was taken to a double bed room and then was advised that there may be a king available. The scurity guard was the one who escorted me to my room because I arrived around 11pm and there main office was closed. Was given room 109 and the room had spider webs, roaches, dust, non functional tv, desk with the wood chipping off, and the bathroom was not cleaned properly. Not to mention that the curtain rods were broken and wheb i tried to close the curtains the rod fell down. I spoke to guest services the next morning once they were open and requested to be switched to another room and was switched to a room with water damage on the ceiling which smelled like mold. Although that room was much cleaner I coukdnt breath well so asked to be switched back.
While I waited I decided to have breakfast on the property only to be told that the jamaican breakfast that was listed on the menu was not available and that they shoukd have the items listed around lunch but wouldn’t be serving breakfast at that time. Wifi was also an issue. I intended on working remotely but the wifi signal wasn’t working properly and I couldn’t load anything. I was told bu front office that it might be five days before the wifi would be working properly. I ended up leaving the hotel and booking an all inclusive after the 2nd night. I asked for a refund for the other three nights that I paid for and was told that I needed to go through booking.com to request the refund. I did just that and was denied. I have reached out to management at Negril Palm multiple times via email and no one has gotten back to me. I have tried calling and they either don’t answer or say that manager is not available.

The Negril Palms Hotel was amazing, our stay was late December into January of
2021. The entire staff was professional, the rooms were clean and the food was good. The beach and pool were easy access along with all the restaurants that are within walking distance. If you are looking for a getaway like "Couples Sweep Away"where the prices are $1000.00 a day, that's where you should go, but if your looking for a great affordable, relaxing, beautiful resort We would recommend Negril Palms Hotel. My family and I have always loved this place for a quick weekend trip to Negril. This time we bought my entire family down. Well everyone was disappointed. The hotel has declined terribly! The rooms need a GOOD scrubbing and freshening up. The rooms are very dark and dank. The bathroom have a terrible moldy smell. This made out 7 day trip not as enjoyable, I mean the beach was amazing but at some point you want to feel comfortable and clean in your room.

The food was decent once we met the chefs (Simone) was our favorite.

The resort used to have a security guard who is no longer there. It just seems like a bunch of people helping out at the resort but no real professionals.

I'm sad to say we won't be returning to the Palms unless there's a major face lift with the property.

Cant fault the 7 mile beach Negril, stunning place to stay. However service at Negril Palms was very poor, we stayed for 13 nights only ate there twice as service was so slow, food was ok but overpriced. Stayed for 13 nights charged for 14 nights hotel management refused to refund difference. Feel very disappointed with overall experience of this hotel, would not recommend.
On the brighter side we spent most of our time at the Tree House just 2 mins away from the Negril Palms, food was fantastic, service was top notch, cost was very reasonable, management were great. will definitely visit again and stay at Tree House. Would highly recommend The Tree House Negril.

I really like The Palms. Stayed here for a month last year and here for two this year. The grounds and staff are lovely. The rooms are large and nice. However, they are doing heavy construction in the building of additional rooms, with pounding/banging from 8:00am on every day. Impossible to just sit on your porch and relax. This work should not be done in February, the height of the season, but rather during the Summer/Fall when nobody is around. They should also concentrate on fixing the many signs of aging in the existing property - cracked/missing concrete, outside mold, lack of stair railings -typical deterioration that a resort by the sea would suffer over time without constant maintenance. In the star ratings for cleanliness, I gave three stars based primarily on these exterior issues.

This was my first time in Jamaica, and I was so very excited to go! I reserved a room at the Palms Negril, which my family recommended because they've enjoyed their past stays here. When I arrived at my room at the Palms Negril (PM), the front desk representative was kind and sweet. However, she did not inform us of anything in the area: shopping, eating, swimming, adventures, even the deals that come with the PM stay (like paying $7 to eat breakfast for your entire stay!).

My first room: still had painter's tape on the bathroom ceiling, the faucet sink was NOT attached to the sink counter, when you use the sink, the water splashes everywhere, and there was a hole on the wall next to the bed! It was so uncomfortable and should not have been rented out. I asked to move rooms to more functional spaces, and again, the front desk receptionist was kind and understanding and moved me right away.

My second room: The AC was dripping, and the bathroom sink was clogged and dripping! The kind receptionist asked if I would like to move AGAIN. However, I was NOT moving rooms 3 times in 3 days on a 5-day vacation! Come On Now! On my first night in the second room, I got up to go to the bathroom and slipped on water, this is how I found out about the leaking AC.

Also: the ocean floaty is broken... FIX IT! We shouldn't have to swim over to Skylark because ours is broken.

Every time we asked to speak to a manager - there was never one there. There was no regard for all the hard work we put in, to be able to afford a vacation to Jamaica. I will not be coming back here! and YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER!
