Polkerris and Vista de la Bahia are two villas nestled on a hillside with fabulous views overlooking the Montego Bay harbour. An outstanding stay at Polkerris B&B from arrival to departure the holiday was superb. Our hosts and all staff were friendly, approachable and professional. The accommodation is even better in real life and the rooms upgraded from the photos shown. The location is perfect a short walk from the Hip Strip up a gradient slope or through the property down steps.But We felt safe walking either route day or night . The entire property was very secure with key card or fob access for the external entrances. Breakfast was ordered daily and suited was a feast starting with fresh fruit, juice tea or coffee followed by breakfast items of your choice traditional Jamaican made to your liking . For example they offer ackee and salt fish but my husband prefers it with bacon and tomato so they made that for him! Or American ie oatmeal, toast, French toast, eggs etc Breakfast served on the veranda with a view of the stunning bay. We had room 6 with a pool view. For the entire stay it was so peaceful and we had the pool area to ourselves when we used it although the other guests were delightful and we enjoyed our engagement during breakfast. Our room was beautifully decorated in a boutique hotel style with a fridge stocked with water and ice - very handy! Ample storage. Beautiful bathroom with a Japanese style toilet (bidet) I highly recommend this property and would love to return!

If you are interested in an alternative to the cookie cutter resort experience I would highly recommend Polkerris. The staff was excellent. Our room and view was great. We loved the pool. Our daily breakfast was very hearty and true Jamaican cuisine provided by the facility owned Pelican restaurant. Every morning breakfast was served on the second floor atrium with a beauty view of the ocean. The drivers arranged by the facility were top notch and we felt very much taken care of. This is a family owned facility and the owners went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and to ensure that everything met our expectations.
I believe there are less than 10 rooms in the entire facility so you will not have to deal with large crowds and it is very unlikely you'll have any noise issues. We bonded very well with the other guests staying at Polkerris and had very pleasant conversations with them during our daily breakfast. We even enjoyed a day trip together to see some of the popular tourist sites in Jamaica (i.e riding horses at the beach, jumping in the water at the Blue Hole, visiting the Luminous Lagoon, etc.). The trip was led by our driver/tour guide Michael who the hotel put us in touch with.
The only thing missing is that I wish Polkerris had a small exercise room on site, but they have a game room which was enjoyable (pool table, ping pong, air hockey, video games, etc). Otherwise, this is a great bed and breakfast and I highly recommend it!

This was our second visit to the Polkerris. We came as a group of 6. One couple stayed in the Vista De La Bahia and the other two were at the Polkerris. The rooms were simply beautiful and truly comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty with lots of choices. There were two pools and lovely verandahs on which to enjoy dinner that we purchased in town. We walked to Dr's Cave Beach and to Harmony Beach in the daytime. The sunsets were magnificient and the views breathtaking. The most delightful part for us was that Clarissa and Jeremy, and Peter and Elaine, and their team, treated us like welcomed family members. We were able to relax as if we were at home. This was the second most relaxing vacation I have ever enjoyed. The first was during our initial visit to the Polkerris. They do everything to a very high standard yet make you feel as if you are in your own home. We are looking forward to our next visit.

One of the Best Hotels we ever stayed at! The accommodations were clean and the staff was friendly and professional. We felt very safe and secure with the key cards for access in and out of the facility. The location was perfect. Close enough to the beaches and hip strip, but felt quiet and peaceful, nestled on a hill that overlooked the ocean! Gorgeous views of the bay from the balcony, where we were served the most delicious authentic Jamaican or American breakfast. The pool was fabulous! Our driver Michael, recommended by the owners was fantastic! He went over and above when we used him for a day trip to Negril. On the way, he showed us much of the Island and how the local people lived. We had an amazing experience at the Polkerris thanks to the staff and owners. You feel like you are at home here, and we highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful! Everything you see in photos is just as it is in real life. Crystal (my namesake) and Charolette are so nice. They serve you an awesome breakfast to start your day! A true American or Jamaican meal. Starting with coffee or tea and juice. Followed by a plate of fresh fruit and then a hearty plate. Me I chose a combination. Fresh fish, callaloo, plaintains and scrambled eggs with cheese. Sounds strange but beyond delicious. My only suggestions would be during midday would have been nice to listen to Caribbean music while lounging poolside with perhaps flotation devices . Family owned, they take very good care of their properties.

This place is nothing short of amazing. The staff here makes you feel like family and ms Clarissi is like a mother to all her guests, making sure they are always happy and comfortable. They make sure your sheets and towels are new everyday and the facility is always clean. The home cooked breakfasts are delicious and the place is welcoming. You are about a 10 min walk from the beach and 3 min walk from the shops and restaurants. If you need a pick up or ride, they will call a private driver for you. This place is everything you need and could ask for when visiting Jamaica.

First impressions do last. Jeremy was my first point of contact when booking and the level of customer service and communication was so great, I already knew I was heading somewhere spectacular! On my day of arrival I met Peter (owner) who is such an exceptional host. He was most pleasant and welcoming and showed me around with zest. His beautiful co-host was equally pleasant and kind. Good hearted people do make this world a better place. The property is simply a gem. It’s pristine grounds and serene aura will pull you right into a state of bliss. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. The food was delightful and served with love. I liked the location very much. It’s close enough to the strip, but also tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Mo’Bay life. If you desire R&R this is the place. The rooms are spacious, and the bed very comfy. Everything was just perfect to me. The house keeper and groundskeeper are not be missed as they too were very kind and a lovely extension of their employers. I can’t wait to return to this beautiful home away from home. Oh! they go all out to with safety and security, a huge plus in these trying times. This beautiful place is definitely a must go! Superlative! Location, security, cleanliness, quiet, and European style concierge service make this the easiest and best choice you'll make in all of Jamaica. An amazing way to start, finish, or base your trip in this wonderful island nation. As soon as we checked in, we were able to focus our complete attention on enjoying the things we wanted to see and do in Jamaica, knowing that our beautiful "home" was waiting for us whenever we wanted it. I wonder why Polkerris isn’t rated as 5 star? Spotless and tasteful rooms , dreamy outdoor area . It’s a beautiful property with Laura the host going over and above with the personal touch, suggestions on restaurants etc. Crystal and Charlotte are two gems, extremely pleasant and nothing is too much trouble for them . I found my piece of Paradise here , and long to return .

We loved our stay! The hosts are the most friendliest people! The daily breakfast is made fresh & to order and you have a small selection to choose from each day.
The rooms are spacious and the view was beautiful. The room was clean and everything was up to date. The property was safe and gated. We were able to walk down the strip during the day and at night without any issues.
If I go to Jamaica again, I will definitely stay here again!

Not an issue to my knowledge. I literally just came back a few days ago (Dec 19th 2018) and no one said anything about zika.
You have nothing to worry about there. Just don’t be flashy and make sure to be safe when crossing the street.
My room did not have a kettle but this was provided on request.
As regards the recent events I was a lone traveller and was OK although I was very careful. I suggest you use the steps across the road when going out at night - at present am not sure what the situation is given that tourists have been warned to stay in their resort - unfortunately I understand that because Jamaica has not been made a state of emergency you cannot get your money back if you cancel
I do hope that you will be ok an that the situation would have abated
Have a great time - the B & B is lovely as are its owners
There are more places to choose from in the Montego Bay area.
