My wife and I went to Jamaica for five days, and we spent four in Montego Bay and one in Kingston. While in Kingston we stayed at Neita's Nest, and it was a great experience. We wanted to go to Kingston to experience a Jamaica different from the resort areas in Montego Bay, and before we even left home for...

Dear Domitilia G, Your review allows me to relive every moment we shared during your one day visit and I am sure it helps prospective visitors to imagine a day in a Jamaican home. Our conversations were memorable, including all we shared about Jamaica and of the places you have both lived. Thank you for taking the time out of...

Dear SarahandAdrien83, We knew it would be short, so we had to make it sweet. Thank you for visiting Jamaica, but a one night stop in Kingston just had to be addessed. That is why we offered the mini-city tour before your departure. Glad to know that your little taste of our city, and a taste of Charmaine's cooking, were...

This house has a wonderful view on the hill. It was very clean and the owner was really nice. I would definitely recommend to all (you won't be disappointed!) Breakfast served on the patio in the morning was amazing. Such a wonderful delight and great place to relax and unwind. I also got a massage in the tree house and...

Dear ShayW415, I am happy you were able to experience our signature al fresco massage in The Treehouse. I have passed on your well-deserved kudos; Zenia from the Euphoria Spa does an excellent job, everytime. That verandah does it every time for our guests too. It is everyone's favourite breakfast nook. Thanks for enjoying your stay here, Shay, and thanks...

I stayed two nights at Neita's Nest to unwind following a business trip to Kingston in September and found exactly what I was looking for - peace, quiet, outstanding food and attentive service. Rooms and beds are comfortable and there is nothing nicer than to sit on the terrace reading talking or just looking at the fantastic views. Michelle, the...

Dear Charles164, You have my parents and foreparents to thank for the all that you enjoyed while here, and I am forever grateful for how we were brouoght up and the exposure they afforded us. A hearty meal is a traditional expression of love and welcome in a Jamaican home. Gentle encouragement to go out and explore the Jamaica that...

This was a real find in Kingston to stay. There is not a huge choice for accommodation, other than big hotels in Kingston, but on the outskirts of the city is Neita's Nest. A small bed and breakfast with stunning views, just up a hill and surrounded by lush tropical plants. The food is delicious and dinner can be arranged,...

Your favourable review of our home and of your stay means a whole lot to us, Kwesi. Thanks for noting the fact that each of our rooms has its own bathroom. Because our offering is a homestay type of bed and breakfast service, many guests come believing that they will be sharing bathrooms with strangers. Not so with Neita's Nest,...

Excellent choice for a clean and cultured place to lay your head and ease your mind while travelling. Very personable and knowledgeable hostess. Large windows with mesh freely allow island breezes to flow without the annoyance of mosquitos.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Neita's Nest ... A Jamaican Bed and Breakfast service in a private dwelling enjoyed for decades by families and friends as it lends to easy entertaining. The breathtaking view of the sunrise, the show-stopping ascent of the full moon, and the mist-wrapped mountains after rain can all be enjoyed from all three guest bedrooms, as well as from the wide verandah - a perfect breakfast/dinner nook. Our floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows make for indoor dining a no-less picturesque experience. Neita's Nest - in Bridgemount, Stony Hill The approach, a winding, uphill challenge and now favoured-path of the fittest exercise buffs, is one of the oldest roads in the parish of St. Andrew. Built by slaves some 300 years ago, it still meanders through the residential area of Bridgemount, long-since named for this little-remembered piece of history. Historic Bed and Breakfast. Situated on the property that once housed The Captain's Quarters for Fort Bridgemount, an 18th century mountain-top British Army post, this 1960's chalet-styled home, now Bed and Breakfast to the world, is perched with a commanding view of the mountains surrounding Kingston's Liguanea Plains. Bird Watcher's Paradise/ Artist's Haven. The cool hills surrounding this upper St. Andrew home nurture a year-round verdant view, with the lush, untamed hillsides providing the perfect hideaway for over twenty species of local and migrant birds. But who's counting? The sheer joy of being awakened to nature's harmony creates the perfect setting of sights and sounds to inspire the creators of les beaux arts, the writers of poignant poetry and the composers of melodious music.
