S Hotel Kingston stands out for its exceptional service, with guests consistently lauding the staff's warm and professional demeanor. Nestled in a prime location, the hotel is celebrated for being safe and conveniently close to local attractions. Its spotless cleanliness and modern facilities also draw praise, though opinions on value are mixed, with some concerns about cost.
The hotel's atmosphere, with its unique decor and live entertainment, is frequently commended, as are the well-appointed rooms. However, larger parties may find the room sizes restrictive. The array of amenities, including diverse dining options and a pool, are popular among guests.

Hotel's Favourite
The Spanish Court Hotel is a hidden gem in Kingston, Jamaica! Despite the occasion, I had the absolutely best experience at the Spanish Court Hotel last month from 1/11/24-1/15/24. Big-up to Issa and team for facilitating such beautiful and authentic JAMAICAN experience in the heart of Kingston. It absolutely blew my mind in a super positive way. Now I CANNOT wait to return and to also check-out the "S" in Montego Bay.
We stayed at the Spanish Court (also referred to as the "S Hotel" or "S") for a family funeral (Anderson). They were referred and recommended to us by the funeral home (Delapenha - Kingston (Tracy)).
We made our reservations with Mr. Joseph Perrin who made sure all our needs were met before we even arrived at the hotel. Mr. Perrin and the entire front desk team went above and beyond to ensure our rooms and every aspect of our reservations were in order. It didn't end there either. They arranged for airport transfers to the hotel and upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly & professional bellman...I forgot his name, but his first-name began with a "T" I believe, Trevaun or similar maybe. He provided us with refreshments while we were being checked-in by another beautiful and smiling face (I'm sorry, I am so bad with names). After checking-in, we and our luggage were escorted to our rooms and provided an explanation of safety and their dedication to energy efficiency (keycards for lights/electricity), which we appreciated. We felt welcomed and valued. The rooms and premises were clean, comfortable and well-kept! The kindness and professionalism of the staff was what blew my mind!
Throughout our stay, the consistency of the staff's professionalism, kindness and willingness to ensure that we enjoyed every aspect of our stay was above and beyond expectation at every step. From front-desk to restaurants, pool, pool bar etc....there was never one moment when we felt like a bother, un-welcomed or out of place. Nelton is an asset to the Spanish Court, along with ...I think her name was "Felicia?" as I said, I'm bad with names, but the young lady who served our large group at the Skybar on Friday night 1/12/24 was just amazing. She efficiently and single-handedly managed our large group and never missed a beat! I'll admit, the numbers unexpectedly grew, but she maintained professionalism, kindness, a cheerful demeanor and somehow managed to keep things organized and moving at a good pace. Well done! My phone stopped working on this trip, so I lost a lot of my pictures, but I think that made me appreciate everything else and the people around me even more.
The Food!!! This segment I could write a ten-page review on. Every-time I ate, I wanted to meet the chef! I am craving the food as I write this review and remember the joy I had eating at the Spanish Court Hotel. If everything else was horrible, I would absolutely return for the food! Talk about authentic and tasty Jamaican cuisine (yes, there were always options for folks who wanted OTHER food, but that's not what I wanted), everything was fresh, clean, appropriately seasoned, local and the effort that went into presentation was just gravy. The food is something I rave about to this day and have missed on several occasions since returning home. Whomever they have in the kitchen at the Spanish Court, Christopher Issa and team CANNOT afford to lose! It was out of this world amazing and worth more than every single one of my pennies! The affiliated supermarket across the street was also an added and unexpected luxury. Loved it!
It's also worth mentioning the decor. Before arriving, the name "Spanish Court," made me think hacienda in Kingston - not a bad thought, but I wasn't sure if it made sense. Boy, was I wrong! While the exterior did have somewhat/small "Spanish" look/flare - this is open to interpretation in my mind. The hotel is 200% yaad (Jamaican). The atmosphere was authentic, easy-going, laid back and deep routed in the true Jamaican culture. The decor depicted Jamaican music, history, Jamaican pride, the celebration of a people (Out of Many One People) and their journey with a flare of jazz and earthy beauty. From the book at the front-desk with Jamaican art and culture, to the small gift-shop with island style and flavored goods, to the galvanized artwork of Bob Marley and others, musical instruments, to the loodie board tables in the "Ska" cafe, to the decorative record players in each room. Not to mention the James Bond Dr. No car, Bob Marley's old truck and Usain Bolt's rover parked in the front. I was so happy to see and experience something so authentically JAMAICAN! The staff appeared happy, the island's culture was forefront and deeply ingrained into every aspect of design and service. I wish I could have stayed longer!
I never expected to be so nicely distracted from my grief, but the level of care experienced during my stay made me realize that staying at the Spanish Court Hotel for this occasion was part of a divine plan. It was never another layer of stress, but a layer of love, care and support in a time when that was so much what we needed. The property is great, but I know that it's the PEOPLE who make the experience exceptional and exceptional is exactly what was delivered. Thank you, Spanish Court! Thank you Joseph and team! Thank you Christopher Issa.

The Spanish Court has been one of my favorite hotel in Kingston Jamaica for years now, this place is centrally located, offer tasty food options and great staff members to assist you with anything you need.
Mr. Joseph is the reservation manager, he will go above and beyond to ensure his guest has a pleasant experience.
NB: If you are skeptic about staying at a hotel during this COVID19 crisis, I promise you will have a piece of mind at the Spanish Court Hotel. I was so appreciative of the effort the staff members put out to maintain a sterile environment to keep guest safe to the best of their ability.

It is a beautiful hotel. Very modern design, nicely decorated, and always clean. The rooms are also very comfortable with all your basic amenities. COVID-19 protocols are followed. Hand sanitizer dispensers are EVERYWHERE. The rooms are also thoroughly disinfected after every guest. The food is also consistently good. The location is central and all that you need is pretty close by as it is in the city. There is an infinity pool on the roof by the bar that is lovely. The customer service is consistently excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Whatever your needs are, they will do whatever in their power to make it happen. The staff is also very attentive and remembers everything about you to make your stay each time feel like home. Very special shoutout to Milton who is a superb staff of the Spanish Court. Always ensuring we are well taken care of every time we stay. It truly is a wonderful hotel.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Check in was a breeze. I'm confident that they had adequate protocols to protect staff and guests during this Covid-19 pandemic. There was a temperature check at the security booth along with one at the check in desk. All guests were required to wear masks, and the rooms and general areas were frequently cleaned. The room was nice and spacious and well maintained. Check out was also quick and seamless.

Words cannot describe my experience. From the first day of my arrival, I felt like they knew me and made me part of the Spanish Court Family. Because it was my first time in Jamaica, I had a lot of questions and was facilitated each time I visited the front desk with Genuine Kindness, whether it was Moya, Shannakay, Lera, Camille, or two other young ladies (my apologies for not getting their names). Stacey in Housekeeping, what a Professional who takes pride in her work, greeting you everyday smiling, made sure I was comfortable and the room met my standard. I observed Owen in Food and Beverage, on the outside deck for breakfast every morning giving every table the same High Standard of Service. And Tevin and Miguel, assisting with taking photo's, giving me places to visit based on my taste and just good conversation on the culture of Jamaica. Thanks again for the kindness and Genuine Hospitality to all the Staff. I'm already planning my next visit.

Stayed between Jan 14th to Jan 16th and I must say my stay was quite pleasant. Front desk assisted me in getting an early check in and was always willing to assist me in getting a taxi or answering any question that I had. Much thanks to the beautiful Daniel.
My deluxe king bedroom was spacious and clean. Despite like anything needing the odd touch up here and there from customary wear and tear, my room was nice and the shower tub also convenient for a nice afternoon soak after a long day of meetings.
I had breakfast and lunch at the restaurant and I ordered room service one night for dinner and each meal was well prepared, tasty and never cold.
I would recommend Spanish Court as it's nice and convenient for me especially for my business trips.

We arrived on the PM of July 22nd tired after getting up at 3am to get to the airport at Hollywood, Florida for a 6:30am flight . On arrival guest services quickly processed our room and gave my wife and I a choice of Jamaican Rum Punch or a refreshing fruit drink. As always, our choice was the Rum Punch that kick started a week of an enjoyable stay. Our suite was comfortable, modern, large and clean. We sampled all the local food choices of complimentary breakfast each morning, we had dinner in the dining area, at the poolside (first floor) and also at the pool bar on the second floor. Service from all the staffs, house keeping, dining areas and bars were courteous and friendly and the concierge consistently checked to ensure that we were having a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Security at the gate made us feel safe going in and out of the hotel. Without a doubt Spanish court Hotel, New Kingston will always be our choice and I can't end without thanking Joseph for making our reservation experience a breeze.

It was my first time staying at this hotel. It was a great and awesome experience. Food was very good. Very friendly, professional and hard-working staff. One thing I have notice is that during the course of the day there is always a member of staff going around and wiping down the rails, the seats in the lobby and sanitizing the area. This is very important to me especially with COVID. Good location. Great amenities. Looking forward to my next trip at this location. This is definitely my new vacation spot.

As a business traveler I have been going to this hotel now for the past 5+ years. I am never disappointed! This trip, however, was a family trip to see my mom.
The service is excellent from entry to exit. The restaurant is the BEST! I've always found this to be a clean hotel. Since Covid, however, you will always find individuals on each floor disinfecting and making sure the guests and everyone else stays safe! The management is awesome! I so appreciate Joseph Perrin (Hotel Manager), Stacey (Housekeeping Manager) and Camille (always at the front desk with a welcoming smile) I almost forgot to mention if you want the best massage, ask for Roxanne. My feet were extremely happy to meet Pauline (for the best foot scrub) Whenever I am in Kingston, this is my place!!!
