The people here were very nice and the man who picked me up and dropped me off was a smiley ray of sun. The room I was in was pretty basic and I'd say the bed was typical. To any American traveling to Haiti and considering this guesthouse I would offer two pieces to consider. First, get your travel to and from the guesthouse set up in advance. I was traveling in from Jacmel on a bus and really didn't know what I was doing and got myself into a bit of a pickle because no one spoke French or English and I didn't know where I was and there were no cabs. I paid a bus driver to take me almost there, but they couldn't find the guesthouse (it worked out fine because Auberge picked me up at the store), but just be aware of the challenges of getting around Haiti if you're from outside. You may or may not get a cell signal, but calls may be hard and although most people will say "ask someone to call for you", Haitians pay for their minutes and they can't really afford to. One man offered to call for $40. The best deal I got was $10 to make the call. Secondly, you don't really see many regular car/truck taxis outside of the airport. So, most people take a motorcycle taxi or TapTap. They're cheap, but if you have luggage or don't speak creole, they may be a no go. Second, there is no food here. Most other places in the the world that wouldn't be a big deal, but you can't really go out by yourself with the current situation and absolutely not after dark. So, bring your own food or maybe ask them if they would go get you something for a fee (I'm sure they would, if there was someone around, but there was just one car and I was alone most of the time in the house). Not to panic though, they have beer!

I stayed here when I was travelling around the Hispanola Island. It was very comfortable to sleep on the roof in your own little house. The view is excellent, you have everything you need like clean shower, kitchen, WIfi and it is not far to a local market. Natasha is really cool and the other guests very great fun during my stay. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Haiti as a first or regular guest.

I stayed twice in Natachas Auberge for each time one day. Both stays were very convenient and comfortable. The neighbourhood is good and interesting. Its a short walk to the next market from where all taptaps and mototaxis go to anywhere. Natacha is wonderful and the staff is also nice. I recommend this place

I hardly ever write reviews, but I have to share this experience with other travellers. Natacha is a great host and an invaluable source of information. She is also involved in a number of social projects in Port-au-Prince. The team in the Cigogne does everything possible to make your stay comfortable and they can organise airport pick-up. I met interesting co-travellers at this place. The area is quiet, with a big supermarket within easy reach. Bonus: The bungalow on the rooftop is an architectural highlight

Room Tip: The rooftop bungalow for its interesting shape and concept. The in-house rooms for longer stays.

My room was very comfortable. The staff did everything to make my visit pleasant. Wonderful breakfast, fast Internet and fascinating guests to visit with. I have already recommended it on my Facebook page and would stay here again. Thank you Natacha for a lovely visit.
