Having called at the Talbot for a beer or two a few times whilst after out walking around Tregaron and Cors Caron, we decided to drive out for a leisurely lunch. There were one or two groups already in the bar area, but plenty of tables left for choice. No pressure to order straight away although a good choice of... More

we ate a delicious lunch here on the way back from Jane's welsh blanket shop (she pointed it out to us) and it was the highlight meal of our whole holiday! Very friendly and great atmosphere. Plenty of vege and gluten free options. Hotel itself looked nice too so would stay here on the way next time - amazing mountain... More

Great food in a lovely little pub in Tregaron. Good choice of menu and home cooked food at reasonable Prices. We had the shepherds pie and gammon egg and chips. Shared a starter of fish cakes... Which was good as the portions were massive! Will definitely return when we are in the area to sample More of the lovely food

I stayed for 2 nights with my Mother and her Dog. We were given a big room opening onto the courtyard. The room was very nice and clean. The food was very good. We eat in the bar rather than the Restaurant because we had the Dog with us. The menu was the same. The people in the bar were... More

My husband and I were treated to a weekend stay at the Y Talbot for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. This hidden gem is the focal point of a very quaint Welsh Village nestled alongside the Cambrian Hills. It is a real taste of tranquility offering hospitality of gold standard and all the quality of a 5 star hotel. The room... More

Having finished a stunning but long coastal walk over 30minutes and found only an uninspiring pub near Llanon to reward myself I remembered the Y Talbot in Tregaron but some 30 minutes away. They could not have been more helpful urging me to be with them by 9pm and navigating the lanes quickly got to this pretty mountain inn presiding... More

We dropped in here for lunch recently and were very pleased that we did so. We had not been here before and even though Tregraron is a little off the beaten track, the menu was varied and interesting. One of us had the lamb rump which was perfectly cooked and beautifully tender. I had the belly pork which was also... More
