We stayed at Zoetry Agua Punta Cana in January 2023 and had the best time! The resort is beautiful and tranquil, and the amenities are fantastic. The food is delicious and fresh and the drinks are great. The pools and the beach are well maintained and there isn't a shortage of areas to lounge. What made our trip unforgettable, however, was the staff at the resort. Their kindness and attention to detail made all of the difference for our trip. Our personal concierge, Wiris, went above and beyond to make our stay special. He was always available when we had a question or needed help and he even put together a special birthday surprise for one of our family members, including a birthday cake, signs with pictures of our family and a piano player. The restaurant staff at Piragua, one of the resort's phenomenal restaurants, were kind enough to make us personalized dishes with what they remembered to be our favorite food items on our last night at dinner. Lastly, the entertainment team organized the best shows in the evenings, as well as enjoyable activities throughout the day each day. Our family generally prefers to visit a new place each time we travel, but we loved Zoetry Agua Punta Cana so much that we are already planning our next trip back!

Dear guest Thank you for your time by sharing your review and I would like to start with the end of it, I am pleased to know that you want to come back even though you do not repeat locations. This simply reaffirms that we achieved our goal and left that last Zoétry experience in your memory, Behind the achievement of this goal there is a staff committed to each experience, each in their own area or department and if one fails, we all fail. Thanks to you for allowing us to improve day by day. It will be a pleasure for all us to have you here again for another Zoëtry experience. Warm regards, Diana V Manager

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family by Lucia, Ana, Javier, and Henry our butler. Zoetry is a peaceful oasis of beauty, peace, relaxation and indulgence. While also offering activities and entertainment that meet each person’s need. The food is exceptional and the staff, very friendly and accommodating. The resort offers several free activities. Horseback riding, kite surfing lessons and helicopter tours. Be sure to ask your butler. We cannot wait to return.

Dear Pamela Thank you for your nice review. I really appreciate the description you make about us, our peaceful ambiance, the facilities, our entertainments, activities and food. However, the most important thing for us besides this, is the feeling we want to transmit of belonging to our family and feeling as such during the whole stay. Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you once again. Best regards, Diana V Manager

I just came back from Zoetry earlier this week and overall it was a pretty great. Zoetry is somewhere between a 3.5 star to 4 star hotel. It's good but it could be even better. I LOVED my room and especially the Bali Bed. I could lay there for hours just listening to the ocean and I had a pretty decent view of the beach from my room. I loved the beach it was quiet, they had these round loungers that you could just lay in and waiters who would bring the drinks directly to you. The pool was also great. It ran alongside parts of the property so it never felt overcrowded. There was also parts of the pool near the bar where you could stay in the pool and look out at the beach. I also really enjoyed the night time activities. There was a Flamenco show, a local Dominican show and a circus show. The spa was also pretty good. They have a hydro pool and my hot stone massage, foot bath, citrus scrub and mud bath were really good. However, as discussed below avoid the Zoetry special massage if you want a deeper pressure massage. Luckily, the hot stone massage made up for it, as it was absolutely amazing and just what I needed on my last day! The food at Zoetry was somewhat of a hit or miss. There were four restaurants only three of which were open for dinner. The restaurants menu would switch nightly from steakhouse, Italian, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Mexican, etc. The Caribbean and Mexican night were my favorite and my friend also really enjoyed the steakhouse night. However, the Asian food was pretty horrible. The worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had (although the chef was nice enough to make me some grilled salmon and rice to make up for it) and the Italian night served lasagna with pasta noodles that were not fully cooked. I would seriously recommend making one of those restaurants permanently Caribbean night because it was that good! They also give you a butler to assist you with your stay and they provide you with the daily schedule for the day and check-in. They can also help you schedule things like the spa and I believe some excursions. While they do offer some complimentary items with your stay there were a few things I wish I knew about them prior to booking: 1. You can get a complimentary bottle of champagne and fresh fruits every day, but you will have to call room service for it daily and they didn’t deliver it unless you are in the room. 2. There is complimentary horseback riding but it is only offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3:30 and 4:30 PM. They apparently mention this during the tour but they will not send reminders or mention it again so book as soon as you arrive. 3. The $200 resort coupons comes with tons of restrictions. It is spread out across different spa services and activities i.e. you get $20 for a facial, $60 for a private dinner, $20 towards a bottle of wine and you get 2 $40 certificates for a 50 min or more massage at the spa and they can’t be combined and have to be used per person. It doesn’t seem that bad except the cheapest 50 min massage is I believe $189. 4. There is complimentary laundry but you have to send it in 24 hours before you need it back otherwise you have to pay $3 per item. My biggest complaint from my stay is what I’m going to kindly refer to as “miscommunications” with the staff. I’m not sure if this was just due to the language barrier but some of this seems a lot like misrepresentation. First, somewhat deliberately I think when you go to get your resort coupons they make you pick them up from VIP services. After listing off all the restrictions that come with the resort coupons they make the offer that you can get a $200 coupon to use at the spa on anything except four things (i) a pedicure; (ii) manicure; (iii) haircut; or (iv) promotion and they will throw in a free 2 night/ 3 day stay and all you had to do was attend a 90 minute presentation. I was also told that you didn’t have to use the 2 night/3 day stay immediately and had up to 18 months to use it. Well I later learned that the $200 coupon can only be used in its entirety to book one massage service and the so-called free stay actually costs $200 to use, the $200 had to be paid in 30 days to activate it meaning you had to book in 30 days and there were a long list of hotels that it couldn’t be used on. However, what really upset me was prior to attending the presentation, which was essentially a time-share pitch, I had discussed with the VIP person how there was a Zoetry in Jamaica and I was thinking of visiting etc. and could make use of the free stay, but when I went back to the VIP desk post- presentation to ask why Zoetry was on the list of excluded hotels given the prior conversation, I was essentially told that I was crazy to think that that Zoetry would be included given the cost of Zoetry per night. Think they might have brought that I couldn’t use it to stay at Zoetry during our discussion if that was the case or even mention that some of the more expensive hotels wouldn’t be included in the free stay. When I also brought up the fact that I was assured the vacation would be free, I was told by the VIP rep that the $200 was a “tax” even though the paper that I got after the presentation clearly states what they are offering is NOT a free stay but a discounted stay i.e. you pay $200 for an apparent $700 value. My next “miscommunication” came when I booked the Zoetry special massage. The Zoetry massage unlike the other massages where you can only do 80 minutes for $259, gives you the option of getting a 50 minute massage for $199, which is what I got or an 80 minute massage $249. This massage is offered as custom massage that you and your masseuse create that can combine techniques from deep tissue, Swedish and sports massage, which seemed great for me since I wanted to work out some stress with a deeper pressure massage but also feel relaxed. Imagine my disappointment when all I got was someone rubbing oil on my skin for the entirety of my 50 minute massage and could not get firm pressure despite me repeatedly requesting that my masseuse use firmer pressure. I told her that I wanted more of a deep tissue massage and she told me she couldn’t do that for the Zoetry massage. Upset and disappointed, I went to discuss this with spa personnel and was essentially told that for the Zoetry special massage you can't get deep pressure and you cant get a sports or deep tissue style. They stated that because of the difference in price between the Zoetry massage and deep tissue/sports massage, I shouldn’t have expected to get those techniques with this massage. When I pointed out that (i) there was only a $10 difference between the 80 minute Zoetry massage and the 80 minute deep tissue and sports massages and (2) the menu book literally states in writing that I could get a combination of deep tissue and sports techniques with this massage, I was told “It’s fine”. $200 is not chump change for a massage. People work really hard for their money. It is not fine. I believe you are free to charge whatever you want or not offer something for whatever reason you chose, but it is absolutely not “fine” to misrepresent what your offering. These events put me on high alert and made me feel like I had to double and triple check everything that the staff said to me and that I couldn’t just take their word for it. Being on high alert is obviously not the way you want to feel on your relaxing vacation. My only other nit was there were a few hiccups with some of the scheduled events i.e. a few of us turned up for a scheduled wine tasting but the sommelier was not there. I went to a painting class but they forgot paintbrushes, so I had to paint with a wall paint brush and a folded up piece of paper. Luckily the instructor was able to assist me and fix my painting mistakes, so my painting came out presentable but it was not the fun painting class I was expecting. All in all I still had a great. Would I give Zoetry a try again, maybe, just probably not this location.

Dear guest Thank you for your feeback and the time it took for you to be so descriptive. I really appreciate your positive comments about the property, rooms, beach and pools. As I have mentioned before in other reviews, believe we're working hard on that. Not only in the Assian menu, but on all. We are reviewing the dishes of each one of them in order to please our guests as much as possible. Going deeper into the points we offer as complimentarty with your reservation : 1. It is completely true, the daily bottle of champagne is included as well as fruit. However, it is the concierge who should ask you upon arrival if you would like to receive it or not so that it can be scheduled daily. Some guests come with alcohol restrictions and that is why the clarification is made upon arrival. I will reinforce this point within my personal concierges. 2. The horseback riding must also be scheduled with the concierge upon arrival, due to the days and the schedule. However, if for any reason you cannot make it on the scheduled days, we are also very flexible in organizing an additional one depending on the availability of the horses. 3. The coupons, we're trying to make them easier to understand how to use them. And that leads equally to your point where you describe the misunderstandings with them plus the coupons that come from the UVC presentation. There is nothing deliberating, it's just something that comes from the corporate qnd we have to follow. But it's true, you have to understand very well how to handle them and know what they apply to and what they don't. However, I have passed everything you comment about this presentation and its limitations directly to the manager in charge of VIP services. Perhaps this can be improved a bit. It's something that is out of our hands. My sincere apologies for the misscommunication at the spa and the massage you get. It would have been wonderful if you had told your concierge, so that we would have acted immediately. . By the other hand, I'll personally check this tomorrow with the spa manager. These things cannot happen, especially in our spa, which is characterized not only by excellent massages but also by a wonderful service. Also, I'll review your comment about the scheduled events, we have been reinforcing their punctuality and their fulfillment of what we ask for. Finally, I am very sorry for your comment about having to be alert and cautious about what my staff was saying to you. Indeed, this is not at all the way I want my guests to feel when they come to relax. It is not the feeling I want them to have during their stay. I invite you to try us, Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana (not another Zoëtry,) again. Best regards, Diana V Manager

A generic, boring hotel that advertises itself as luxurious but definitely in is not. We experienced a lot of unpleasantness in it. Take a look at the “specialty coffee” they make so you can imagine the standard of the rest of their services. In the end, they destroyed our clothes by washing them at too high temperature. The situation was ridiculous as the manager came into our room to check it personally. Very unprofessional. However, he acknowledged that the clothes were damaged and suppose to give us a refund. We had to take the time to find the receipts from the purchases. After sending the documentation to the hotel, we were supposed to get a refund, but the hotel said that they had a technical problem and then stopped talking to us. I strongly advise against it. Fraudsters.

Dear guest My sincere apologies for your experience, but let me tell you that I have never been in a room checking clothes that were damaged. Morover, I always sign the reimbursements in these cases and I have never been informed of such a case, especially when it involves a lot of clothes. We haave not received ANY receipts for reimbursement. Believe me, I am well informed of my resort's operation and in case it happens (which has been very few times) I am fully aware of it. Moreover, if it happens, we solve it immediately during the stay. I never let my guests go, as far as possible, with a bitter taste of it. I don't understand what you mean by "specialty coffee" I only know that we offer a spectacular Dominican coffee and that I have a wonderful member of my staff, "Mr. Coffee", who with his smile and kindness always serves and promotes it. I am very sorry for your comments, but I sincerely believe that you have the wrong property in your comment which unfortunately affects the rating of the same. Regards, Diana V Manager

If you read through the 4- and 5-star reviews, you will get an excellent idea of the experience at this resort: relaxing vibe, great food, very well kept grounds and pools and a staff that seem to be totally focussed on making your experience fantastic. Yes, there may be the odd imperfection, some of which are noted in the reviews with lower ratings, but to us, they never rose to the level of needing to take away a star. Plus, the management is working hard to address the imperfections - it's a process. A recent review noted that there are only three dinner restaurants to choose from. While that is an accuate statement, what they didn't mention was that each restaurant has two menus that alternated nights - Olena: Mediterranean and Italian; Amaya: Asian and Steak House; Piragua: Mexican and Caribbean. When added to the Dominican buffet at the pool one night, we were able to eat off a different menu every night during the week. Also not expected, Indigo had a buffet in addition to a la carte, if you just wanted a quick breakfast. And, CocoCafe had small sandwiches at lunch, if you just wanted something to hold you over to dinner. The food was generally very good, although there was the occasional miss. One example was the "Classic Fajitas" at Piragua. They might have been a chef's interpretation of fajitas, but they weren't Classic Fajitas. Not everyone will like every dish that is available. But it's part of the experience. You can always order room service. As said, the food was generally very good. Our favorite restaurant was Olena. As mentioned, the staff are incredible, and obviously well trained. Our thanks to: Indigo: Frank, Eduardo (Mr. Coffee), Pahola, Melane, Brenda, plus Serginia and Geraldine who were the first smiling faces we saw each morning. My apologies to the other ladies whose names I unfortunately I can't remember. Olena: Felix, "Super" Luis, Marlene, Sorenya (?) CocoCafe: Marissa Lobby Bar: Rosie Housekeeping: Juona And our concierge: Alejandro Please change the corporate policy and have the staff wear name tags. I would rather address people by their names. Everyone says "welcome home". Well, I know the names of everyone at my home. Please reconsider.

Dear guest, Thank you that you have taken the time to share such an enthusiastic review about your recent visit to us. I'm glad to read that you really enjoyed your stay even with our small imperfections in which we are working on. I also appreciate the excellents descriptions you make about our restaurants and the food we have on each one of them and even on our Coco Café. We're working hand in hand with our chef on the consistency of each of the dishes on the menu. Thank you for ALL the names you mention, Unfortunately, for Zoëtry the wearing of name tags does not apply due to the category of the hotel and the personalized service we provide. I'll personally extend your congratulations to them although, for some time we have been publishing on a bulletin board all the reviews as a motivation to my staff and a public recognition of their work. As manager and on behalf of all my staff once again thank you and we'll be very pleased to have you here again. Warm regards, Diana V Manager

We have stayed at several Sandals, Excellence, Secrets and Breathless Resorts and this was our favorite. This is and AMAZING place for those that want smaller (100 rooms) , quiet and beautiful grounds. We had a walk out OF Room with plunge pool. Staff was fantastic (ask for Ray Ray as your concierge/butler) and very attentive and friendly. Beautiful beach with no other shared resorts or beach vendors (just a few approved ones) .Beach huts, no crowds and river pools through out. Super clean resort! Only a few minor cons: 4 restaurants ( 1 was lunch and breakfast) and no real buffet other than breakfast .Plenty of on-menu options for all meals and dinner choices rotated. Food was very good but maybe not for foodies. We really liked the 24 hour delivery including my wife'sbirthday dinner on our patio. Some entertainment at night . Drinks were hit or miss and the lobby bar was top notch (its all about the bartender!) Gym equipment needs upgrading and room floors and furniture were beat up . Spa really nice! Horsesback rides on the beach. This is truly a 5 Star resort but still needs some updates which Hyatt is in the midst of. Highly recommend this resort for a super-relaxing vacation!!

Dear guest As manager, I really appreciate your feedback and even more to read how much you enjoyed your stay. Thank you also for your valuable feedback on the cons. As for the buffets, we only offer them on theme nights such as the Dominican night and the asado in the evening and some other times. We intend to give a personalized service a la carte much more in line with the philosophy of the hotel and the exclusivity of our guests. At the same time, we are working on the drinks and together with our bar tenders on a re-training since all our drinks are of quality. It is completely true that now with Hyatt everything needs an adjustment. And just with this, as of today our guests will have a completely new gym. We have installed completely new machines and equipment for your well-being. Also, this weekend we will have completely new furniture in the Indigo and Amaya restaurants and soon in Piragua and Olena. And of course we are the same with the rooms. It's not an overnight issue, but we are working on it and to show Zoëtry as it should be, one of the exclusive resorts of The Inclusive Collection by Hyatt. As you can see, many reasons to come back, which will give us great pleasure. Best regards, Diana V Manager

There were so many great things about this resort and a few negatives. Positives: the food was amazing. (Although note it says 5 restaurants, it's really 3 restaurants--one beach cabana type spot for lunch, and a coffee shop--so really only 3 restaurants for dinner.) The resort grounds are very spa-like and zen so you feel like you're on a retreat. I also loved the rooms themselves. The whole place was very peaceful and is great for couples. I wouldn't recommend it for a family with young kids. We had a couples massage and it was amazing. Now, a few negatives. 1. Be prepared to be constantly up-sold on activities, time-shares, etc. It was annoying and detracted from our visit. 2. You get a personal concierge who is supposed to help you plan activities etc. Ours was pretty much useless, messed up our dinner reservation on NYE so we didn't have one, and just wasn't helpful. Ours also gave us a tour of the property and did not take us to the spa, gym, or the amazing hot tub. So we didn't even know about the hot tub until half way through our trip! 3. Laundry is included but you have to itemize every piece of laundry which is annoying and they don't tell you it up front. 4. They say they are giving you a large amount of resort credit for spa services and activities but it has to be "activated" right away or you lose it, and it's broken down into $20 toward a bottle of wine, $80 toward a private dinner, $60 toward a spa service (amounts approximate) so you end up either not using all of it or being upsold on paying the rest. 5. The gym is very small and unimpressive. Would be nice if they added at least one Peloton, and more importantly the (very few) exercise classes are a joke. I did yoga and pilates and they were taught by what seemed like random people who work at the resort and were not good at all. Plus, I showed up to the location listed in the schedule for the day and it was not the right location. Same for the time listed. 6. The beach is beautiful and there are great lounge chairs but beware of the coral rocks in the water! I love swimming in the ocean and it looks like it's sandy when you go in but there are massive coral rocks that you can't see and then you bump into them or step on them and cut up your feet. I know this review now mostly seems negative but we really did have a wonderful stay. I just want to point out the negatives that I wish I'd known before I went.

Dear guest Thank you for taking the time to write this valuable feedback which I do not see as negative, but as an opportunity to clarify and/or excuse me from the negative points mentioned. On the other hand, I am pleased to know that you had a pleasant stay in spite of them and you enjoyed our food on our 4 restaurants, Indigo, Amaya, Piragua and Olena + 1 our Coco Café. In relation to your points : 1. We only have two companies within the resort that offer outside services. One is AMSTAR which is an off-property excursion company and they really only interact with guests when they approach them to inquire about excursions. They are not allowed to go around the hotel harassing guests. The other is the UVC sales team, Hyatt's program, no a time sharing and maybe they can harass and ask or invite you once, but not twice. 2. My sincerest apologies for the concierge, his/her role definitely goes far beyond giving you the tour. The function of the concierge is to really take care of you throughout your stay in everything you may need. I will gladly review and reinforce their role so that this does not happen again. 3. the itemization of each garment should be done by the guests so that you know exactly what you send and so that you have control. It is our responsibility to make sure that exactly what you sent arrives is our responsibility. 4. The use of the credits we give away on arrival is indeed a little difficult to understand but they work and our guests appreciate it. 5. Acoording to our gym I have to say that since yestarday, the gym is being renovated with new equipment and machines. We are remodeling many areas, including this. Unfortunately, the arrival of the imported machines took longer than expected, but tomorrow we will have a completely renovated gym. However, I accept your comment regarding the fulfillment of the activities, their location and that they are the ones actually advertised. I am being quite strict on this for several days now as it was a complaint some days in a row. 6. No comments Again I thank you for the opportunity through this feedback to comment on them directly and of course apologize for some of them. Notwithstanding the above, it will be a pleasure to have you back with us and live the Zoëtry experience. Kind regards, Diana V Manager

My wife and I just came back from 7 days at Zoetry and it was amazing! Guests are truly pampered from the moment you step onto the property until the second you leave. It was honestly the most relaxing place we have ever been to and we are already planning a return trip.

Just home from hosting a Pilates group at Zoetry Aqua. Im not sure where to start other than a HUGE thank you to all who assisted us. Albania in Weddings-You were an absolute joy to work with. Anyone would be blessed to work with you while planning their wedding at Zoetry Aqua Punta Cana. You handled all my "asks" without issue from changing a guest room to arranging group dinners. I truly appreciate the Suite tour, and hope to be bringing a large family there in the near future. Ray Ray, Jeti, and Super Mario-You are what makes this resort 5 star! Your level of service is superb. Your attention to detail helping with my group made things so much easier for me. The three of you had my friend and I laughing each day. You guys were beyond fantastic! This was my first time at a Zoetry property and we picked just the right place for a Pilates Wellness retreat. The resort is quiet so if you are looking for a party, go down the road to Breathless, then come here to decompress for a few days! The food was amazing and always something available. Very easy to order room service from the iPad in the room. The presentation of each meal was beautiful. Spa-We had a free 20 minute massage which lead to us booking full treatments. The spa is beautiful. The use of the hydrotherapy pool w/o having a service is a huge plus. What a great place to recharge! I can't wait to come back!!! Thank you Zoetry Aqua Punta Cana!

Dear Terri Thank you for such a lovely review. It has been a pleasure for us to have this Pilates group at Zoëtry. Even more, to know that the planning, organization and follow-up of it was excellent thanks to our amazing Albania. That not only Albania but Ray-Ray, Jeti and Super Mario took care of you and helped make this all so much easier and fun. At the same time, I really appreciate your comments about our food and our beautiful spa as you mention. It will be more than a pleasure to have you here again !! Best regards, Diana V Manager
