This is NOT a 5 star hotel by any means. There is nothing luxury about this apart from the bed! It takes an eternity to check in and if you have trouble walking then I would recommend asking for a ground level floor as there is no lifts. Some staff are very rude. There are not enough sun beds for everyone. Food is average. Rooms are not clean You have to walk miles to get a drink and then stand in a massive queue and wait. They want extra money for the "luxury stuff". If you want to stay in the diamond club then don't bother wasting your money the rooms are the same as the standard ones. If you want an all inclusive bog standard holiday further than Europe this is the place for you. My sister booked her wedding here and it is such a shame we wasted our money coming out here. If you want to book a wedding in a Royalton hotel then do not choose this one. The Royalton in St Lucia is far far better with a lot more on offer. Later in the day all the kids come up from the water park and it's like being at butlins for a kids weekend. Also be aware all the locals come in over a weekend so be prepared to queue even longer for food and drinks. Constant pestering from people trying to sell you trips all the time. Be aware of the prices TUI offer for trips. You are better off doing your research and booking before you go as their mark up is absolutely ridiculous.

This resort exceeded our expectations! The grounds and rooms were constantly being attended too. We stayed in the in the Diamond Club section of the resort which included a butler. Our butler, Domingo make our stay stress free and was so helpful. We celebrated my son’s 13th birthday and Domingo made sure it was special. I cannot say enough nice things about the entire staff. Everywhere we went there were polite and pleasant! Shout out to Evelyn at the spa her massages were amazing! I hope to return again soon!

5star…… barely a 3 and that is being generous. Check in didnt have me allocated to the room and when they finally corrected their error there was no apology just the passport pushed back and told the room number. We were pointed in general direction of our room and had to drag our suitcases in the dark and climb 3 flights of stairs as there is no lift facility. We had a room for 3 which had not been cleaned, there was only 2 cups and 2 glasses and 10 days later and numerous requests later we still only have 2 cups and 2 glasses.. We reported a faulty plug in the bathroom and 4 days later the plug still hasn’t been fixed. The mini bar is not being refilled The staff are generally indifferent and a large portion are down right rude. They ignore you when at the bar and look past you when you try to get there attention. It seems the only ones that are prepared to actually make eye contact are the ones trying to sell you something. The shops on site offer no customer service and refuse to replace any faulty items and claim not to understand what you are saying but clearly can as they refuse to offer customer service of the most basic. While these shops are not belonging to the hotel they are on the hotel site and therefore represent the hotel and should be meeting the standard the hotel is claiming be. There are to few sunbeds for the number of people using the resort. All round a very disappointing resort.

This was the worst vacation of our life. Let's begin by saying that at the time of our arrival, November 19, 2021 ( A group of 16 people) the front desk told us they didn't have any rooms available for us because they were overlooked, they said part of the group had to move to the Hideaway. A part of the group walked to the Hideaway (including my grandma who is disabled) they told us there were no rooms available there either. After this incident, they walked back to the main lobby where they started finding rooms out of nowhere. Once we all had our rooms and checked in, our first impressions of the rooms were a strong smell like mold, roaches, ants, dirty bedsheets, dirty towels, and disgusting bathrooms. Even one of the couples in the group had a room that was in the middle of construction. After this happened we had to complain in the lobby to be able to change rooms. After all this hassle, another couple from my group had to switch rooms 3 times, even though they had a baby, but apparently, these people don't care. Three days into our vacation, when we were finally settling down, the AC broke down and nobody had an answer of when it was going to be fixed, this problem lasted 72 hours, we were able to switch hotels to the Royalton Splash after a long and tedious argument with management (The worst by the way). After being transferred to the Splash, they told us they were going to transfer our bags, and we had nothing to worry about. After waiting for 5 hours we had to get back to the lobby of Royalton Punta Cana where we found our bag abandoned. When we tried to complain about it the General manager's Assistant, Arturo Villaescusa jumped with the worst attitude like if he didn't care about his customers, extremely rude and very unapologetic for his words. They even told us they were going to make us some private dinner if we stayed quiet, which we declined because that was not the best way to solve our problem, we were not hungry, we were feeling robbed and disrespected, all we wanted was a change to a different hotel or a refund so we could move to a different hotel. In general, this has been the worst experience we have ever had in Punta Cana, and I will not recommend it to anybody at all, this was a whole nightmare. This hotel is EXTREMELY OLD, DIRTY, MANAGEMENT IS EXTREMELY RUDE, even their employed look disappointed and angry at them, which reflects on their customer service. JUST CLOSE THIS HOTEL ALREADY A BUILD A NEW ONE WITH NEW MANAGEMENT INCLUDED.
