Incredibly disappointed with this hotel. We are here right now, halfway through a 10 night stay and we feel like we don't want to be here. Where do I start... - Appalling COVID measures. They have a long list of COVID protocols in place but hardly any are followed. We feel very uneasy with this. No hand gel around. Staff generally have face masks on but it's fairly common to see them pulled down when they are working around food. Chefs, waiters and bar staff have all done this. Guests are asked to wear a face mask on entering restaurants, yet half the guests then don't wear them whilst getting food from the buffet and staff don't say anything. Large crowds everywhere and nothing to prevent COVID. - The music is so loud! You literally can't hear yourself think around the pool and all we can hear from our room until the early hours is thumping music. - Staff. 95% of the staff act like you are a total inconvenience. They are rude and you have to ask for things multiple times before they help you. A small number of staff are great, but they are by exception. Also, English is not very well understood. It's a struggle for anyone who doesn't speak Spanish to communicate with staff. - Local guests. On a weekend (all weekend) expect chaos. It feels like we are on a club holiday in Ibiza. Insane crowds everywhere you go. No room round the pools, impossible to get drinks at the bars and have to fight for food at meals. Really not what you need with two small children. Locals appear to get preferential treatment at bars. Other guests wait patiently whilst locals push through, shout their order at the staff and then get served. - No sundowners at the beech even during the week. - We were told that no reservations were needed for a la carte restaurants, however this is obviously not true. We queued up only to be told that you needed a reservation or had to wait an hour for a table. The sister hotel seems quite a bit better. We have eaten there a couple of nights and the staff are much more attentive and the food was a lot better. We definitely won't be coming back here. Maybe it's just not suited for us. Would suggest it's better for people who want to come and party rather than chill out and relax.

Had an excellent trip here! We were a family of 14; with kids ranging from 3-14 that all enjoyed it. The teen club and escape room never opened which was a disappointment - as we couldn't seem to get any answers about it. Advice: Have to invest in the Diamond Club - use the lounge to get snacks throughout the day, and be sure to take care of the wait staff - they are excellent to name a few: Juan Carlos, Joselito, Charlys, and Jose Luis at the Diamond Club - outstanding service - and just couldn't have been any nicer! Just made us feel so welcome and made the experience so much more special. The resort was clean, they had some fun activities - David and Marita were excellent hosts for Yoga each morning and water aerobics in the afternoon - great music, high energy and fun! One disappointing note - the swim up bar - which is what we were looking forward to, was closed, as well as the teen club, and escape room - and no information about this in advance. Water Park - WAS A HIT! My kids loved it! Absolutely incredible! The staff was outstanding! Clean Clean Clean! I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the resort - our Housekeeper, Stefanie was outstanding! Our room was pristine when we returned every day and would find flower petals on our bed daily.

I can't wait to get out of this zoo. Once the local people get here you don't even find food to eat. Everywhere you go is either line up or food is finished. I tried to get a drink at the swimming bar but look at how these people were climbing each other for drink!!!! It is unbelievable. They push poeple, they swear, they get drunk and jump in the pool and they make chaos. I really feel I'm a hostage in a zombie tribe. The shuttle service is always full that we have to walk all the time. As soon as the shuttle gets at the stop it is the locals push the passengers to get into the shuttle. Today my son fell down the shuttle. I went to reception and they said thy can't do anything about it. Loud music beside the room. Very poor management, staff don't know how to communicate with you. They can't even answer a simple question. Sunwing people are also no use. They gave no information about entertainment, restaurants, or other information that might be useful to know. There were just trying to sell us packages. It is our 4th day of stay and so far we have called more than 10 times about the noise of the super loud music. I am a regular traveler and I am very much familiar with the norms of the hotels in south America. But this hotel has no norms and all you see is odd. I don't recommend this hotel to any families. I do regret waiting my money.

Elected to go with the Diamond Level and see what it had to offer, so you get to check in your special lounge with drinks and food available. That was easy and took us to the room in a golf cart. Immediately we notice the room was hot, AC not working so we called at 3 pm to inform them, we go to the beach, come back at 6 and room is still hot, we call again and they have no knowledge of anybody making a call earlier in the day. so now they want us to have dinner and they will resolve it after dinner. NO NO we tell them we need another room ASAP but that took almost an hour. Food was very average, drinks at the diamond lounge was good, would recommend paying the extra for the diamond service. Overall will not go back to this one but may try some of their other resorts, the Bavarro look well maintained You can go but do not expect 4 star service and food. maybe a low 3
