I want to start by saying the things that were good about this resort before I go into all the reasons why I would never recommend it to anyone. GOOD The staff are overall very friendly and helpful. Fausto on the beach and Maria at the breakfast buffet were amazing. Fausto would always find us to make sure we had the drinks we wanted and Maria remembered our orders and made us feel welcome. The beach is lovely with lots of loungers, we never had an issue getting a spot. The water is a bit rocky once you go out about twenty feet. The pools are very nice and well kept. The gym is great, but not cold enough. There's lots of good channels on the tv for when you're stuck in your room feeling sick from... BAD The food was hands down the worst food I have ever had at a resort. We tried all of the a la cartes and the buffet, ordered room service. All awful. Everyone in our eleven person party got really sick from the food. One of our party members is Dominican and was disgusted by the food as well. I am pretty easy going and will eat just about anything, but the food was absolutely disgusting. It ruined our vacation. The resort is part of a time-share type thing, so there are "members only" areas including a restaurant. Maybe that's where they keep the edible food. The cleaning Our room had blood on the door and on the bed frame, our cohorts rooms also were dirty upon check in. The sinks don't have water traps or proper venting so expect sewer gasses to fill your room while you're out. Raw sewage smells are not what I would consider to be a desirable amenity. The cleaning time is very inconsistent which is a pain for trying to plan your day. Sometimes they came at 9am, sometimes it wasn't until 4pm. Some days our room wasn't cleaned at all. This wouldn't have been a big deal if we weren't in our rooms feeling sick a lot of the time. The covid tests We had to book an appointment for our covid test and we showed up 15 minutes early as instructed, but waited in a line up for 2 hours to get the test. Results came about 48 hours later but they seemed kind of sketchy to me. It had the incorrect time listed for when we got the test (about 24 hrs later). The lack of scheduled entertainment. The disco wasn't open which made no sense because they were stuffing tons of people into restaurants. The evening entertainment (or lack thereof) was disappointing compared to other resorts I've been to.

Spent 11 days in November and loved it! Very well looked after by our consiege Gabriel. Hotel room was perfect. Pool area and beach were amazing. Really enjoyed the drinks and food. Loved the Al e cart restaurants(except route 66). French restaurants food was amazing!! Our maid Mercedes went above and beyond she was fantastic! There are a few areas that could be improved firstly we paid ALOT of money to come here and its frustrating that in order to get good service in the buffet you have to tip. Normally we don't mind as much but on this occasion we were unable to get any money out from the cash machine... it wouldn't work for us. So we were unable to tip untill friends left us cash. This meant that trying to get a drink or coffee in the buffet was very hard and it shouldn't be like that especially with the money we paid to go on holiday. Also the amarican restaurant route 66 was horrible. The staff were lovely I couldn't fault them but the food was disgusting, probably the worst I have ever had. Food was dry and chewy like it had been left under the heater all day. Missing coselaw and seasoning and Ribs were inedible. The coffee shop, sports bar and waterpark add that extra special touch and we really enjoyed visiting these throughout our stay. The entertainment team were great as were the shows so thank you for a wonderful holiday. Oh and reccomend the saona island trip

When rating experience at an all inclusive resort we often think of four main criteria; food, beach, room and service. The Grand Sirenis ranks high in each of these categories. Although individuals may rank these criteria differently and may look at other factors as well the Sirenis is well worth a visit for your Dominican experience. Our positive experience began before arriving. Thanks to Rooming Manager, Gustavo Lora, for responding to emails, answering questions and helping with accommodation requests. For a more detailed review read on… FOOD…quality, quantity and presentation all well attended to. The two buffets had such a variety to please all ages and tastes. The daily themes certainly contributed to the variety as did the seven ala carte restaurants. We ate at both the Mediterranean and Japanese, both exceptional. BEACH…fantastic for those who just want to sit or the walkers. Could safely go miles in either direction. Lots of chairs and palapa. Yes there was seaweed…lots of seaweed. This is not a resort issue but an ocean one. ALL resorts had seaweed. The Sirenis staff did better than most in its clean up…what a job. ROOMS…there are 45 buildings in this double resort with lots of variety. Most newly renovated in modern, tasteful decor. Big issue is that things work and water is consistently hot. Cleaning staff were excellent. SERVICE…a huge staff covering every area of service. Meal staff were pleasant and attentive. Saying hello, please and thank you, asking their name and trying to sit in the same general area adds to a positive experience. Thank you Joanna! Don’t forget all the concierge, bar staff, cleaners, gardeners. They all worked well together to create a great experience. TIPPING…yes you don’t have too….all inclusive I know….and few did, however most of us tip for service in our own communities why not here. We tipped at all meals and occasionally other service providers and it just makes the whole trip more positive. PROS…free quality wifi all throughout the resort…beach included but put your devices away and enjoy …awesome activity/animation staff..have never seen such a vast and varied list of activities for all ages. Activity staff compliment the core of evening entertainment dancers in providing a varied list of evening shows worth attending. …amenities at this hotel, bars, restaurants, coffee and ice cream and pizza shops, plaza for nightly entertainment, stores for shopping, water park provide so many things to do. CONS…actually very few. With so many people there are bound to be minor interruptions in service but this staff work extra hard to minimize this. The occasional time we had questions they were responded to promptly. Some may feel the resort is too big and it is big. Despite the large number of guests the resort matches it with staff and we never had to wait very long for anything. CONCLUSION….we have travelled to the Caribbean dozens of times and we rank this as our favourite experience. The value for this trip was exceptional…the result of a beautiful resort, full of amenities and staffed by those committed to your positive experience…WELL DONE and THANK YOU!

My stay covered the Thanksgiving weekend 2021, 1. Excellent services and facilities 2. They wont tell you a no but neither commit, so you are left with the responsibility to follow up 3. Try to charge you as many times as possible for the same service, so, save all paper receipts 4. Food was terrible, i did lost weight, american 66 bad, brazil worse, italian ok, buffets good to avoid famine 5. Presidentes are draft, not as tasty as bottled 6. Medical clinic overcrowded, see item 2 7. Good merengue live music 8. Poor internet connection 9. Excellent spa 10. Dont use a travel agency, they wont commit to support you and will blame others for their mistakes and poor coordination Conclusion, not recommended for next year, administration needs to make changes to increase food quality in all restaurants tested in the resort

Their is a list of items that we personally did not like. 1 No ride to the unit you were assigned to . Right front beginning. 2 Very long walk to the front lobby. 3 VIP treatment was not very good to our standards no trip back to your unit were they had pick us up. We had said no to their proposal. 4 No contact from the representative about are time of the covid test and how we are going to the airport and also the time we are going to be picked up. 5 The ocean had sea weed and also the shore line which we understand this was caused by a storm in the area. NO fault to the resort. 6 We see people coming together for fun and need to be treated the same way no matter if you are a VIP or a quest.
