Just returned yesterday from a week at thre Rui Naiboa. I can honestly say that in our many years of travel, including 5 to the Domincan Republic, this is the first time I have written a review. Most of the time I just read them and take bits and pieces from each article Here are my comments... Didn't care for...

Arrived back on February 24th after a week's stay. Unfortunately the weather was lousy which caused us to be more critical of the resort. Positives: The Beach, pools, bars and staff. Negatives: Rooms, entertainment, food., layout. Long walks from room to beach. No local off the resort stores. Excursions are not worth the price. Beware of the souvenir sellers. Smokers...

We returned yesterday after a week at the Naiboa..We have been to the Dominican 4 times now..3 to Punta Cana, and one to Puerta Plata. We actually stayed at the Riu in 2001..at the Maloa..which is now part of the Taino..We were a bit disappointed this time..there was only one sign up restaurant option..the Italian..which was where we ate the...

I'm going to try to be as objective as possible here. FYI, I am not accustomed to expensive resorts and luxury living. This is about it meeting my middle class expectations. 1. Rooms - Beds were hard as rocks and terrible...but I can sleep on pretty much anything. Room was clean, carpet old (who cares?), TV fine, balcony was great,...

I just have to say that the first day I arrived at Riu Naiboa, My wife and I were a little overwhelmed about the dinner table set ups, and the towel rules for the pool, and the resevations before the theme dinner. But on the second day we sat down with our event coodinator "Manuel" great guy, he gave us...

This was my first time staying in a 5 star rated hotel and I must say I was a bit surprised about a few things. The disappointments; I have to say that the room, well especially the beds, were a bit disappointing. No contour drapes, so I always found myself directly on the mattress in the morning and no pillow...

Five friends and my boyfriend and I stayed at the Riu Naiboa.(Nov 21- Nov 28/06) It was not too bad the service was excellent as soon as we entered the lobby everyone wanted to help us. I recommend leaving a tip just because they work so hard, the cleaning ladies clean your room every day fresh towels and sheets. I...

My two friends & I spent a week (Jan 15-Jan22) at the Riu Naiboa Resort and absolutely loved it! At first we were a little worried that the room wouldn't be big enough for the three of us, but as we got used to it after the second day, it really wasn't a big deal considering we didn't spend too...

I stayed at the Taino from December 30 - January 6. I had a wonderful week! I started my days early and ended them late daily. I could always have a siesta by the pool, which I did daily. We were there for New Years Eve, which offered no dinner reservations, but had a buffet for the evening. I do...

The Riu Taino is very laidback, which gives you a real feel for the Caribbean. The Riu Bambu and Riu Naiboa were a little classier, but the Riu Taino suited my taste just fine. The Riu Palace Macao was a step up from the above mentioned three resorts, and the Riu Palace Punta Cana was very luxurious. All five resorts...
